This is a fantastic auto shop. They never overcharge for services or try to scam repairs out of you. If you want an honest, fairly priced auto shop, there is none better.

We take our cars here for everything. They are the kindest and most honest auto repair shop around. We even had my daughter's car towed from Millersville to have it fixed and they were still cheaper and better service and car than any garage we could find in Lancaster county. They even squeezed her in because they knew she had to go back to college. For my other daughter's car, they looked at the issue without even charging us. I highly recommend them.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I took my care here yesterday for an oil change and tire rotation. I chose this establishment based on the many positive reviews. They did not disappoint. Very courteous and professional. I felt like I knew them from the second I walked in. They were on time and took great care of my car. I am so happy to have found them and will be using them going forward. I will return there in March for my inspection.Service: Oil change

Awesome place. Staff knows everyone that comes through the door on a first name basis and treats everyone like family. You will not be disappointed coming here instead of your typical large chain.Huge thanks to Mark for making me feel like a long time customer. My parents and I have used L.J. Allen for years. They are so friendly and professional. They keep in contact every step of the way. I recently purchased and very low mileage vehicle and my check engine light came on. I took it to them, and instead of taking advantage of a costly repair, they provided me with documentation of the issue to take to the dealership to fight for them to fix it. I will always use this garage, and recommend them highly! A bonus, they are great with Subarus!

Staff are very courteous. The owner came over and struck up a conversation while I was waiting on my car. They treat you like family and make an effort to get to know their customers. Very comfortable atmosphere. I usually HATE going to auto shops but I am almost looking forward to inspection time

LJ ALLEN was able to find the size tire I needed same day, when no one else could for two more days. I was headed out of town and they got my car in and out good as new with plenty of time to spare. Great, professional service and very helpful with spot on pricing! Definitely will go to again!

Where to start...We had a Subaru Forester that was on its last leg. Had a feeling it was related to the head gasket, but our previous mechanic didn't find the issue after testing it a couple times and it was fairly pricey in the end.So since the car was overheating like it was before, I decided to take it to LJ Allen. They found the problem fast, but sadly the Subaru was far too gone with rotted evap lines, blown head gasket, and more!Decided to part with the Forester, BUT I had another vehicle I haven't driven in 2 years that I had planned to get worked on to make it road worthy again. LJ Allen had it up and running within a few days at a reasonable price. Greg and his team at LJ Allen are the prime example of customer service and craftsmanship!Definitely recommend!

Always helpful. Repair prices are really good and the job is done right. They also communicate with the person checking in the car. Options are given and they work hard to get the price for you. My nissan needed about $2000 in repairs. LJ Allen did it all for under $900. Would absolutely recommend them!

They are always available, even in an emergency. I couldn't get the door to my gas cap open and drove over there in a panic. They sent a guy out and after about 20 minutes, he jimmied it open so at least I could fill my tank. I brought it in later during the week to repair the broken cable. Rather than buy a new cable assembly, which would have been well over $300 w/o labor, they fixed it for about half the price. It's still working. Good, professional, trustworthy.

So caring. They fixed a tire (for free)for me when I came in out of the blue... AFTER being turned away at 2 other places. So kind. I needed that.Been back for various appts, they're fast, inexpensive & AGAIN - So KindGot several things done, from mundane to sort of involved & everything's always perfect. Cannot say enough about everyone's over the top friendliness.Great job(s) great people. Customer for life Thank you LJ Allen

Oil change, state inspection or need a tire patch they are the men to go to. They were able to patch a hole in my tire so I didn't have to spend 245 dollars thank you guys thank you so much.

I was looking for a new garage to take my car for the inspection and emissions, which expire the end of this month. Asked friends and L J Allen was referred to me through several friends. I called and made an appointment for this morning (06/23/2011) and was welcomed immediately, which meant a lot to me as one coming into a business such as this. I have walked into garages already and waited until you are finally recognized as a patiently waiting customer. While waiting their was an older lady who brought her car in on a last minute call because her oil light was coming on. She said that she has recommended L J Allen to many people, and has always received great service and a comfortable re pour with everyone who works there. I then meant another gentleman who has his own plumbing business who also stated how pleased he is coming to L J Allen for both personal and professionally. There was a gentleman who came in and asked, if there would be anyway to fit in his two daughters inspection on Saturday, because they are going out of town, and will not be back before their tags expire. The gentleman from L J Allen, said that he will see, if any of the other men would come in to help get them done, and that he would call him back early this afternoon to let him know. To bring in an employee in order to get these two cars done for this customer's daughters is way above what most garages would do on a Saturday.

You won't find a business that compares as this one is family owned and they lagintamatly care about their customer's. They will take the time to answer any questions without making you feel rushed as well as making sure that the customer is completely happy with the service which they have received.

Very kind, good prices. Absolutely better than going to NTB or the dealership for anything! Would very much recommend for whatever your car needs.
