With so many other places to install remote start, simply just go elsewhere. I had 2 confirmed appointments on the same car and both times no one showed up with poor excuses. First, because of a non push-button start that they knew was the case the week prior when we set the apt that no one apparently looked into even after confirming the immobilizer has been installed. Second time, because they had a call-off from staff even though they didn t bother mentioning until mid-day after we needed it completed as they said it d be completed by then. Overall poor first experience, if lack of staff is valid then we need communication hours prior when they knew staff would be out. I wouldn t entertain this place again as I m now bringing my customers car further away to do this elsewhereA coworker even said back when he was at Beasley Ford (now Apple Ford) it was always excuses with this place and nothing but a pain

Great work, took my truck in to have all the speakers replaced and a new dvd head unit installed, came out great and much nicer then expected, clean look and sounds amazing too.Reasonable prices and great products to choose from. Would highly recommend

I will say my experience with the installation doctor has been nothing but pleasant the times I ve visited this business. Staff is friendly and professional prices are reasonable. John is knowledgeable, nice & very helpful. They did a very nice job installing a new radio this week it was exactly what I wanted. I also had an auto start put in about 2 yrs ago. I am very happy with the work that was done and have no complaints. Thank you!

You installed a radio in my Benz about a year ago I was never really happy with it never seemed that loud and I could use the steering wheel controls plus IWanted a double deck radio and you said they didn t make one for my carI finally went to Best Buy s they installed double deck radio and also hooked up my steering wheel controls and they hooked up the factory amp to the radioThey did a great job cost me $250.00 for everything

He sells used products. I was told I can return it if the item wasn t open. I never open the item and he refuses to return it and is an unprofessional man. He will walk away from you with no respect!

If you have time a patience the quality of work is fantastic. Took a little longer than discussed, but that is everywhere post covid. Had all new speakers, head unit, amp back up camera and windows tinted. Excellent quality at an excellent price. Would highly recommend.

I had a Bluetooth radio installed in my daughter's car for her birthday. The service was great. John was very helpful in the weeks leading up to my appointment and the price for the radio and the installation was great! It was a great birthday gift for my daughter at a very reasonable price. The service there provided by John was extremely helpful, polite, and very patient while helping my daughter set up her new radio. I was very happy with my experience and will definitely go back to John at the Installation Doctor if we ever have any future electronic needs for our vehicle! Thanks again John!

Just had my car windows tinted and I am very happy with both what John recommended, and with the quality of his work.There was a slight mishap that caused a tiny scratch on one of the door panels, which I would likely never had noticed, but John pointed it out to me immediately, and ordered the genuine part to replace it.What a stand-up and genuinely nice guy, that I will certainly be trusting with my car in the future.

Customer service was great. I had an appointment at 3pm and arrived a few minutes before 3. Even though there were other customers in the store, I was politely greeted and told I'd be waited on shortly and I was. John installed my CD receiver in the time he said it would take. The showroom was spotless and I received professional and courteous service. I will definitely be a repeat customer and will ecommend The Installation Doctor to my friends and family!

I was very pleased with the service that the employees provided. John had quoted close to 2 hours for the installation of the dash cam. It only took an hour. The price was very reasonable and cheaper then Best Buy. I highly recommend this place. Very professional. Will take any future installs to them.

Try being a nice guy and give him business but it s too hard when he doesn t take care you you.I m a returning customer and I ve been giving him business throughout the years but in the end he chose to treat me unfairly. I Had a SET appointment and dropped off my car in the morning picked it up at the end of the day. To find out the car has not been touched. He Reschedules me for a week later. So A week later on the way in, I call to make sure he can take in my car and not have it sit in his parking lot for the whole day. He says again he won t have time to work my car AGAIN, when I had my appointment rescheduled and set for the second time. He offers to reschedule me again for a week later but that s asking too much for me. You can t expect your customers to take time out of their day to be let down time over time. There s no care for the customers what so ever. I wouldn t recommend waisting your time and I would NEVER recommend this place to anybody. Period

My boyfriend ended up getting a subwoofer and audio system here and everything went well except they did not install a switch so the battery is constantly being drained. After realizing this we called in and explained the situation and asked if they could install a switch. We made another appointment and brought the car in and they did not install a switch or do anything to do the car. Now we have to take his car to some other place so they can fix it.Update: Since reviewing and seeing the owners reply, we scheduled an appointment and the problem is now fixed quickly and with no extra cost. I greatly appreciate the owner reaching out and it does make up for the pervious issues and have merited a better rating. With the owner replying and the issue now fixed, I would recommend this business to others. :)

Very clean and presentable and front staff is very friendly. But, down to one tech when I were there. Had to wait 6-7 hours for turn to get install. Scheduler could space out the work more efficiently. No place in walking distance to wait, although waiting there was clean, quiet, AC.

I don't know what all the fuss was all about. My new system sounds great and they did a great job. I'd go back and would recommend them to anyone. John was very nice and worked hard on getting my truck done in a timely fashion im very pleased. Thank you guys.

John did a very professional job installing my wife's remote start in her 4Runner, and was very helpful explaining it all. Also took the time to answer other questions. I highly recommend and will be going back for other stuff on my truck. Great job and thank you John! I also appreciate you working on a Sunday.

I recently had some sound deadening installed into all four doors on my Toyota Camry and I can definitely notice a sound quality difference. Talk to John ever chance you get.I'm posting a five star review even though I did have two hiccups with receiving my total bill until after the installation was completed after being told previously by John and an in store worker that they would email me my receipt. The other being I was told my installation would take one day. (It took two)I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt after speaking with John I trust that he's true to his word about how absolutely swamped they are with COVID still being in place. They're short staff and doing their best. In the end, I'm satisfied with the quality of the work done to my vehicle and it was worth the process of working with John. With COVID deadlines and schedules might be hard right now but I'd still recommend Installation Doctor to anyone looking to have their auto needs fulfilled!Thanks for the work you guys did and I'll probably be back in some time in the future!

They took over 3.5 hours to install tint on the driver's and passenger side windows and windshield strip. Two windows and a strip. I was told "it was almost done" at least 3 times.When they finally finished my tint the only thing offered to me was "sorry for the wait".I feel that the installation time and their lack of honest communication was completely unacceptable.I would not reccomend this business for window tinting.

These guys do excellent work. John went out of his way to help me with a problem that started with Best Buy, but they took care of it. Even went over and above the scheduled radio install, and fixed a headlight wiring issue they noticed.Will bring all my install work to them

I should have looked at the reviews before buying a remote car starter from them. This company is awful. They don't know what they are doing. They are rude on the phone. They told me the wrong information about the type of started I asked about. They had my car for twelve hours and they never even looked at it. While I waited an additional two hours PAST the time he told me, he started doing personal business and ignored me. My remote starter worked, but the factory FOB did not. After filing a complaint with the BBB, he called to fix it. He promised me an hour. Two and half hours later, I had my remote car starter upgrade, but it wasn't until I tried to drive the car at night that I realized that my interior lights don't work.Stay far far away!

I've taken both of my vehicles to John and have nothing but the highest regard for the quality of his work and his attention to detail. One vehicle had tinting added and the job was done so well that the dealership where I brought the vehicle asked where I had the work done.The other vehicle, a 2013 Nissan Armada Platinum Reserve had both window tinting and interior accent lighting added. As usual, John applied his expertise and the job, needless to say, was flawless.I would recommend the Installation Doctor to anyone in this area looking for quality work in a timely and cost efficient manner. I cannot speak for others that may not have had as positive an experience but I can say that no way would I have trusted John with almost $100k worth of vehicles if he didn't have the expertise to do the job right.

Had a great experience. They did an excellent job installing my radio in my antique car. Highly recommend! Only issue would be they need to better job "timing" a project. I understand sometimes you run into issues which is fine but not a deal breaker at all. Guy was extremely nice and told me what was going on and why. I would rather have things done right then fast. Enjoyed my experience and installation was top notch!Suggestion: I would recommend that they put in a waiting area. I wouldn't have minded the extra wait if there was an area to sit and wait on it like an auto repair shop, with a TV and WiFi. If I were them, i would seriously think about it. They have the room for sure to accomplish that task.

When I got the estimate, I asked if I needed key-in-a-box for remote start. He said "no." Day of install, he did not have my appt in system, I dropped car at 930am. At 230pm not ready, said he needed key-in-a-box (which is what I told him when I came in for estimate). He said he needed 15 more minutes. 15 minutes later he said, 15 minutes. 15 minutes later he said 15 minutes. Was supposed to be a surprise for my wife for xmas. Since I got the car home late, now she knows, surprise ruined. Then when picked car up with item not yet working. I had to take car after five hours without being finished because I had to go pick up my wife, steering wheel was getting caught on plastic trim from reassembly. I turned around in parking lot to get steering fixed. The guy have me a hard time when I asked him to adjust the trim so the steering wheel did not get caught. That is a safety issue. He said he didn't want to rush, but he had the car there for 5 hours, which is an hour longer than he asked me for. I believe he was working on other cars and letting mine sit frequently. I actually saw this happening. I would recommend everyone take their car somewhere else. I'm not sure how the good reviews got here, but either he was having a bad day when I was there, or the good reviews are staged. There was another customer standing right beside me with a similar issue and equally as concerned.Update:John seemed a lot more at peace today when I came in to get the job finished. He had me in and out in one hour (total of 6 hours including the first 5 hour day). The remote start works great, the steering wheel does not make noise anymore when turning it, and he took $50 of the original amount for my trouble. That meant a lot to me as a customer. It says, "Hey I admit we messed up and this is our way of saying I'm sorry." Over all, I am content with the 'outcome'of the situation. I guess he was having a bad day the first time... I hope my wife likes her Xmas present.

Called to get a price on just the removal of a factory radio. No repairs or reinstalls, just take it out of the vehicle. Price quoted was $75. Went to D&W +2 in West York and he had it out in about 5 minutes and charged me $10. I can't say anything bad about ID but he certainly isn't afraid to charge a lot.Always shop around.

Was in a hurry to get a stereo installed before a long trip. Called a bunch of places within 30 miles and this place was the only one who could help! Got there and staff was very friendly and professional. Got the install at a fair price and will definitely use them again for all my after market car needs!

I took my 2011 Hyundai Sonata here in late December/early January to have tints, amp and subs installed. Even during his move from his old location he was the only place around that would pencil me in. About average pricing as well. I'm very happy with the product. The only problem I have with the tint is that my passenger side door has the logo of the tint on it?? Not noticeable at all. The only reason I seen it was because I am a thorough inspector. I'm writing this review because it is now April and my stock radio has decided to crash. I took my Sonata back to Jack Giambolvo for a hard reset (not paying with a warranty, it would have been $$ out of my pocket) and after waiting 45 minutes they decide to tell me they refuse to do anything for my car bc it's aftermarket. Furious; the Installation Dr. Is right down the street so I stopped in. Without a receipt, this gentleman had to take my word that I did get my car serviced here. I now have an appointment this Friday for him to check back over the work for FREE. Hopefully my stereo gets fixed or I'll have to go aftermarket on that as well. If all else fails, I will be using his services to put in my after market monitor. Very reasonable and respectful!For those complaining about a remote starter... please do research about remote starters. If they're not factory installed then there is a good chance they'll go faulty. The car will be rigged in order for a remote starter to work. It is not the installers fault. So those reviews should be disregarded.

I've used the Installation Doctor for years mostly for window tinting. This past week I bought a Camry to drive around town, however the radio/NAV was not function. The Installation Doctor gave me a decent price on a nice looking radio/NAV system. They installed it the next business day and it looks really good. I need time to learn the radio so I'll give a update in a few days.

As a gift my son had a remote car starter installed for me several years ago. John was very patient explaining how it operates and it still works great. When there is an "operator error" I go to John and he fixes my goof and again patiently explains the procedure. Friendly and professional, John knows the meaning of customer service.
