Recently relocated to the area, and needed service/repair on a vehicle just under 1 year old. Took the vehicle in for an oil and windshield washer leak and realized the state inspection was due too.Oil leak was found to be a loose filter. Easy fix and added an oil change.Told we needed tires to pass inspection. The vehicle has 14k miles on it, and 2 tires were just replaced within 30 days under a road hazard damage claim. So 2 of the 4 tires they wanted to replace were new. The other 2 were at the 14k mark. We chose not to replace the tires. We were charged for the failed inspection, and the advisor said we would just get the emissions. We are not required to have an emissions sticker. He tried to tell me differently. We live in Wyoming county. We did not get the emissions done. When I asked via phone about the windshield washer fluid leak I was told it was good and was topped off. When I arrived to pick up the vehicle I was informed there was a leak in the washer fluid and there would be a need to come back and have it addressed. This was why we came here in the first place. So all in all we got an oil change and had multiple attempts to scam us into more cost. When driving home we stopped at another local garage. The vehicle passed inspection with no issues. We still have to address the washer fluid leak but will find another dealer as the car is under warranty.

We have bought numerous Jeeps, and a truck from the Pompey Automotive group. This time was our second time dealing with Eddie S. Was not pushy at all. Gave us numbers, we countered, he worked his side and we got to where we were comfortable to upgrade. We even got to keep our tires from our trade in that we just had put on AND he brought it to my wife at work since we couldn't make it there! Can't say enough about Eddie, the sales team and the dealership. We look forward to continuing future endeavors with them! Thanks Eddie S. And team!

I had several bad experiences with their service department. I had to get the owner of the dealership, David, involved to get to the bottom of it all, & he was good about it. In the end of all that debacle, the service manager, Tracy Sherwood, turned out to make things as fair as possible. I appreciated her efforts for all that she did in getting my vehicle fixed, the damage done by the employee repaired, & her professionalism. Thus, Thanks to Tracy's actions & courtesy, it helped restore some faith in me in regards to their service department. The sales team is HORRIBLE. I tried to purchase a car from them & I went there with half the price of the vehicle in hand & the other half sitting on their desks in the form of a bank loan. Unmentioned damage to the front end of the vehicle held up my signing & driving away that night.Next day they texted me & said they would fix it, not replace the bumper. So I passed on the purchase with only a fix . Fifteen minutes later they text me again to ask if they replace the bumper if I will buy the car, and I said ABSOLUTELY! .Two weeks go by & I hear nothing from them until I email my salesman, Gary. The messaging system I am told must have been at fault.I went & test drove the vehicle that day, on Mon. Seats were kinda iffy fitting for me, so I asked Gary if I could have til Fri. to figure it out before signing the loan. He said YES. Thurs. was Thanksgiving which stopped me from getting customization answers. On Fri., I contacted Gary & asked if I could have til Mon. or Tues. to make a FINAL DECISION. Again, he said YES! Sun. I bought $2200 seats for the vehicle so that on Mon. I could let Gary know & we could complete the deal. First thing Mon. I received a text from Gary stating another salesman took a deposit Fri., while Gary was off. I tell him that one of us should have been contacted before any other deposits were taken on the vehicle & he texts me back that HE AGREES WITH ME!I emailed David & he claimed that they have a deposit policy that I did not meet so the car was sold. I was in contact with the dealership for 3 weeks & never asked for a deposit. Means either the owner himself & his salesman are clueless about their own deposit policy or else the fact that they already had a loan sitting on their desks with my name on it was deposit enough. Or, perhaps this deposit policy came to existence once they sold the vehicle from under me & then were called out on it. The owner needed an excuse for justification purposes and so the deposit policy was born.I met with both Gary (twice) & David face to face during those 3 weeks & NEITHER OF THEM asked for a deposit. David agreed to pay to have the front bumper replaced to make things right with me for all the trouble his service department caused me. But the first time they had an opportunity to sell the vehicle without having to pay for repairs, they did! When I responded to David's email to me & pointed out that his mystery deposit policy was never mentioned by him or Gary, he refused to respond back to me. Why? Because he knew I was right & he had no credible defense. He went for the profit margin instead of keeping his word about trying to make things right with me. His decision to sell the vehicle from under me cost me points on my credit report & I also had to pay a restock fee to avoid having seats shipped to me that I could no longer use without a car to put them in.So much for making things right with me. Instead of making things right, all he managed to do was make things worse. I was warned by several people that Tunk. Auto Mart has a reputation of treating people badly. I still tested the waters, & lesson learned, the hard way!The sales dept. @ Tunkhannock Auto Mart is SHADY & MISLEADING. I implore you NOT TO TRUST ANYTHING you are told by anyone there because they will lie to you to suit their needs. Have everything backed up in writing by them otherwise you may wind up with a horrendous buying experience just like I had.

They suck at servicing my vehicle. They had an inspector come out to evaluate the issue with my Jeep's fuel issue and axle leak to see if the warranty covers it. They approved the axle leak, but failed to show the inspector anything regarding the fuel issue. Now the inspector has to go back out there to be properly shown the fuel issue. I will never be taking my vehicle back there after this. I don't care how far the next nearest Jeep dealership is, I would much rather go somewhere else than take my vehicle back to these incompetent people. I have currently been without my vehicle for officially over a week now with minimal communication and no straight answers with me. This has been the most frustrating experience I have ever had with a service shop ever! I will never take my vehicle here again.

I purchased a pre owned Jeep Wrangler from Tunkhannock Auto Mart in May 2021.I have purchased 4 vehicles at Tunkhannock Auto Mart. Two new and two pre-owned.The charge for the used Wrangler was over $28,000 and that was full retail. My reason for writing this review is I find that customer care and customer service has declined at Tunkhannock Auto Mart."Since I first posted this review the owner of the dealership has contacted me and asked what he could do to remedy the situation. We talked and worked out the issues on both ends and now I am satisfied we had the conversation. That is the Tunkhannock Auto Mart I remember. It demonstrates genuine care for the customer from the owner. There is light at the end of the tunnel! When looking over the Wrangler before purchase I found a sizable area on the tailgate that was rusted to bare metal. It should have been repaired before the vehicle was put on the sales lot.The rust area was about 1 inch wide and 3 inches long and the metal was rusted and completely exposed with no primer or paint. It was ugly. When I asked about them repairing it they gave me a take it or leave it response.I have since paid a body shop $250.00 to repair the area. The plastic rear window for the convertible top was almost impossible to see through.Tunkhannock s response about the window was you could purchase a new one for about 300.00. Another take it or leave it response. The rear window zipper would not operate and that indicated the window was not removed to clean the cargo area. The zipper required a sizeable amount of time at home to get the zipper to work. The Wrangler was not cleaned and detailed to a lot ready condition. The Wrangler was dirty under the hood, had stains on the passenger front seat, dirty in the cargo area and water in the jack storage compartment that made the jack and tools rusty. See attached pictures The jack is stored under a bin under the cargo area floor. That bin was filthy and was never touched. This was discovered after purchase. The outside was clean. At home I discovered the parking brake would not hold vehicle when pulled all the wayWhen it was time to pay for the vehicle I was informed that Tunkhannock would not accept my personal check for payment. I was not financing and paying cash.Tunkhannock accepted my check in January of 2018 when I purchased a new Jeep.I was not informed in advance that my check would not be accepted.Apparently that is now company policy for who knows why!Tunkhannock wanted me to drive to Dalton and get cashiers check. That I was not going to do.They decided to accept my check or I was going to end the purchase. When ready to leave after purchase I asked for the second key and fob and was informed that were was no second key.Tunkhannock wanted to charge me $235.00 for a second key for a vehicle I just paid over $28,000 for. Great customer care, NOT!Vehicles come with two keys and fobs. Another take it or leave it response. The sales representative has since contacted the original owner and sent me the second key a month later. He has been attentive and is respectable. The problem was not with the sales representative. He was caught in the middle and taking direction from management. He has been excellent to interact with but limited in what he can do because of dealership attitude. He gets 5***** stars. There were more negative items to the purchase but this explains some of it.I contacted management by mail and email and have not received a return reply.Company policy and attitude toward the customer is what is at fault.Genuine customer care has declined at this dealership.

Sales department for the last 5 vehicles purchased has been a positive experience. The service department on 4 vehicles has not been honest. $1800 in repairs on 1 Truck and it s throwing the same service code 1 day later. Next Truck $130 for a diagnostic and the solution is to make yet another appointment and fee for what was to take 20min. You need to speak honestly with customers. Learn from this and do your own repair work don t let them rip you off! Get it in writing and the name of your person.

Eddie and the whole team at Tunkhannock Auto Mart went above and beyond my expectations. Told Eddie what vehicle the wife and I were interested in and what time we would be there. When we pulled in he had the Jeep out front and running ready to go. Through the whole process Eddie didn't try to sugar coat nothing and was very honest about everything. Not to mention Eddie and the finance department stayed passed closing to get us in our new Jeep that night. I would highly recommend Eddie and the whole team at Tunkhannock Auto Mart.

We recently bought a new truck from Eddie, and it was the most painless experience we ve had buying a vehicle. He was extremely helpful and straightforward, something you rarely see when buying a vehicle. We were visiting from out of town and were only in for the weekend. He stayed late until after 8pm on a holiday Friday to make sure we were all set, and also made sure service was able to squeeze us in the following morning for the extra key we were having made.I highly highly recommend you stop at Tunkhannock Auto when looking for your next vehicle.

First time purchasing a used truck from them Oct 21'. I bought a 17' Ram 2500. My salesman was Eddie. He is a great guy to deal with. I had an issue after purchasing the truck with my heater and they went above and beyond to get it fixed.Eddie is that guy who still helps you after you have purchased a vehicle

I worked with Joe D to find my perfect car. We had been looking online to find exactly what I wanted and even visited other dealerships but none seemed just right or trustworthy. I came across an all black Dodge Journey online and we drove over an hour to come look. Joe was really easy to work and talk with. He made us feel comfortable, and not pressured at all. Overall we were very happy with the atmosphere of the dealership and the selection that was there! We will be back in the future, as well as recommend to others looking for a new dodge or Jeep!

I don't often purchase new vehicles, but decided to take a look at the 2016 models. I was a little apprehensive about negotiating with a dealer, but after meeting Eddie my fears were put aside. Eddie made my car buying experience stress free. He is very knowledgeable and professional. Not once did I feel like I was being pressured. Eddie explained every aspect of the sale to me ensuring that every possible discount was applied and in the end gave me the best price for a 2016 Charger. The day I picked up the car was just as enjoyable. Eddie had the car ready with a full tank of gas with all the paperwork complete ready for me to sign. He took care of the tag transfer, registration, and insurance. On the day of delivery, I literally just walked into the Tunkhannock Auto Mart gave Eddie the keys to my old car, signed some paperwork and drove away in a new Charger. This is how car buying is supposed to work. I highly recommend Eddie and Tunkhannock Auto Mart.

I purchased 3 new vehicles over the years from Tunkhannock Auto Mart. My family has purchased several more new vehicles. Everyone of us has been driven away by the service department. The sales are great - the service stinks. I have never had a good experience with service. I scheduled my truck for service a week in advance. I took it in at 7:30 am. They asked what time I would like it back. I said 3 pm would be great. I called at 2:30 to see how it was going. I was told I they didn't have time to get it in today. When I went to pick it up I was asked if I would like to reschedule it. I said why schedule it if your not going to work on it. Apparently my time, gas, and trouble to get rides back and forth are of no concern to the service department.Sean Steele has always treated me fair and I'm sorry to tell him this will be the last Dodge in my family.I hope this is helpful to anyone looking to purchase from Tunkhannock Auto Mart.I was contacted by Tunkhannock Auto Mart shortly after this review. The service department did their best to make repairs to my vehicle. They had the vehicle for 4 weeks waiting for parts, but they gave me a loaner vehicle during that time frame. I had my vehicle back once again after the month they had it. It continues to have the same problems, but I am happy with everyone I had dealings with at the dealership.

Great service and salesmanship from Eddie! Helped us purchase a preowned vehicle and gave us a great price for our trade in. Eddie walked us through the paperwork easily, secured financing quickly, and made the whole purchasing process bearable. Tons of paperwork that was gone through efficiently. Always there when we need to ask questions or help after the purchase. We were ready!

First time car purchase. Was nervous and read horror stories online. The deal on the car was unbelievable. Eddie was upfront, honest, helpful, gave great advice and was low pressure. He was super flexible and patient while I considered different options until I was very satisfied with my final decision. He was also incredibly organized and swift with the paperwork. I couldn't have felt more confident nor had a better experience. Couldn't recommend this place more highly.

I bought my 2014 Ram 2500 with the 6.7 diesel engine and a six speed manual transmission from Tunkhannock Auto Mart on August 8th 2014. My salesman was Matt Kerr , he was the the greatest. He was very informative and friendly. I was in a hurry and he made sure my sale went quickly and the truck was ready. The truck was delivered spotless and with a full tank of diesel. Then Matt went over every option with me. I would definitely recommend this dealership to anyone. The salesmen were very nice along with all the other employees , I never felt pressured and they answered any questions and took the time to make sure I understood. I will definitely be a return customer in the future and will tell all my friends and family about the great experience. Buying a new vehicle should be exciting and fun and this certainly was.I also want to add that I went to this specific dealership because I always heard good things about them. I was in contact with Matt all week before I went up to the dealership which is about 45 minutes from my house. I was working night shift that week and Matt took the time to answer all my emails promptly about the specific truck that they had that I wanted. Friday morning at 5AM when I got out of work I emailed Matt letting him know I would be there at about 230PM that same day. Well Matt called me at during my trip to the dealership at about 200PM to make sure I didn't need directions or anything. When I got there the truck was parked in front and Matt literately met me at the door , we went for a test drive and the rest was history. VERY , Very Happy with the overall experience and I cant wait to take my truck there for servicing just so I can say HI to everyone.

We had a wonderful experience and highly recommend both Tunkhannock Auto Mart and our sales guy Ed to anyone looking to purchase a vehicle. Ed was knowledgeable, enthusiastic and great at his job. We keep going back to him because he makes buying a new car easy. He really cares about his customers and takes pride in his job.

The initial contact was fine (which is why ibrated then 2 stars, not 1) but once I travelled (quite a distance) there to look at a specific vehicle, it went down hill from there. The original offer on my trade was insulting (there's no other way to put it)...the second offer wasn't much better, and certainly didn't seal the deal. After leaving, the sales person reached out indicating an interest to sell the vehicle, but there was no further negotiation, and despite saying he would get back to me, he never did (twice). Disappointing. However, it worked out in my best interest anyway, found a better deal with a reasonable trade offer (thousands more), and a better equipped Jeep than what they had on their lot. I would not recommend this dealer, at all.

This easy sale started with the Value your Trade over the Internet, and within five minutes after submitting the information, the telephone rings. Mr. Eddie called to check on my preference and he offered any assistance necessary. The quality and respect expected as a customer, is becoming a dream of the past. Eddie is the epitome of tradition that shows concern and interest in what he can accomplish. He is straight forward and down to the point as to the parameters of the deal, fast and highly proficient in clarifying all the options available. After the basic review of my used vehicle they offered me more than the Cash value on the Trade in. Eddie listens to what the customer requests and makes you feel very comfortable. The Tunkhannock AutoMart office is a great group of people, each with their own strengths. Gary the Finance officer is very adept at getting the best rate available and executing all the documents at lighting speed. This was a win - win situation and I am very grateful for the pleasant experience.

I had a great experience. My family and business have been going through Eddie for a while now and I 100% know why. I asked for specifics and he delivered EXACTLY what I wanted. If you are looking for a personalized experience and ease of buying a new car, especially after something traumatic, like wrecking your previous new car, this is where you go. I would recommend Tunk-Auto Mart to everyone and definitely ask for Eddie!I also was very pleased with how fast we got everything done. Eddie was with a customer when I came into sign and Jeremy had everything ready to go for me. They make a GREAT team!!

Update: Changed to 4 stars. After I left my 2 star review, Joe responded that he could order a front plate bracket via Amazon and send it to me, which I agreed to. The overall experience with this dealership was good, and I would have given a 5 star review if my emails and texts regarding the plate frame would have been answered more timely. Not receiving a timely response made me feel as if I was being ignored. I would go back to this dealership again...but won't ask for a front plate bracket...LOL.Initial contact and sale went okay. I traveled 92 miles one way for my car. Joe was our salesman and the virtual experience prior to arriving at the dealership and the pickup of my car went fine. BUT, my car did not come with a front license plate bracket and we were promised this would be sent to us (NYS requires a front plate). This was back on 12/19/2020 and I still have not received it. I keep getting "I will check the status". I realize it is just a $25 dollar part, but they promised and once I drove off the lot seem to just not care.I of course had already filled out their survey giving them great reviews. Wish I had waited now so that the survey would have been more accurate.

Just bought a Ford Focus for our son today. First saw the vehicle on the website and emailed the salesperson who immediately got back to me . The whole experience was so smooth . We picked it up this morning and was in and out within a half hour. Would definitely purchase again. Thanks to Bob the salesman, and Matt the Store Manager. Very professional and awesome transaction. Repeat customer for sure!!

I would like to thank Tunkhannock Auto Mart, especially Sales Consultant Sean Steele, for making my car buying experience the best possible not only for myself but also my family and friends. Purchasing a new vehicle is a big decision, but when you have the right dealership and sales consultant the process is completed with ease. I went to the dealership in means of purchasing a new vehicle and while there I viewed and test drove the vehicle. My sales consultant, Sean Steele, was very friendly, patient, and knowledgeable as he answered all of my questions. His professionalism and attention to detail were very much appreciated. Even two years later Sean still checks in to make sure everything is well. I would absolutely recommend anyone looking for a vehicle to buy from Tunkhannock Auto Mart.

Jeremy and Gary did a fantastic job with my purchase. They made the purchasing process smooth and without issue even though I was completing the deal from Vermont. I got a fair price, amazing financing, and the exact vehicle I wanted. I would not hesitate to buy from them again.

Beware of buying from the dealership. They sold me a truck with a rotted frame brought it back told me they were going to do something about it , and told me it never should have got through their inspection. they gave me a run around four months till the inspection ran out on the truck. The truck sat for two months while I'm making payments on it because it wouldn't pass inspection with no help from the dealership. had to go out and pay to have it fixed myself worst experience ever any car dealership. Wish I can give them zero Stars. Manager of the place is a total weasel. They are very nice to you when they're taking your money but if you have a problem don't expect them to do anything about it.

I visited 3 times in the past year but never felt like there was much willingness to really get to a deal or fit our budget needs. I heard people who definitely got pretty good deals, but we weren't ever close. Take it or leave it is not negotiation. We finally have purchased the CR-V we wanted but would have preferred to buy local.
