If your looking for professional mechanics look no further. These guys know there stuff when it comes to working on everything from cars to trucks. There prices are very reasonable and there very friendly hard working mechanics. I trust them and have for the last 28 years when I first started taking my vehicles here

They staed it was an easy job . $40 per side. So I said ok do the work. When I picked up the car he handed me a bill for almost $700. Stay far away from this place.Services: General repairs & maintenance, BrakesServices: General repairs & maintenance, Brakes

I have been buying older,cheaper cars for a long time, which of course means more maintenance costs. To make a long story short, a mechanic friend referred me to a start up business formed by a former back yard mechanic , Ron Urban and I walked away totally happy with the quality and price of the work done. It is now years later, and Ron's energy and skill, along with being a straight shooter have grown his business considerably, Every person I've referred became a steady customer, as am I , and to me, a place like that is invaluable! He has his life invested in that business, and it shows! You get the best of both worlds, high tech and hard working, coupled with personable, friendly people, fair prices, and great work, you get all you expect and more at Urban's in this mans opinion. I've been there for ten years and am going nowhere else for anything I can't do myself.

Good local guys. Me and my dad live a few blocks up the street from them and have been coming here for years for our car inspection. Would highly recommend.

I have 2 stories because I felt compelled recently to write my first review of anybody.1st story: I had a 2006 commander that was stuck in 2nd gear. A local dealership (not to be named) quoted me $4,000 and said I needed a rebuilt transmission. I called Ron, rambled of the list of parts and like a great negotiator, told him what thet they quoted me. He said $2100. Here's the kicker, when I went to pick it up he told me it was just a sensor and I owed $700.2nd story: took my Truck to a shop close to my house for inspection. They quoted me $400 in stuff. Tell Ron the story and come to find out, everything is passing.I use to only telly friends about Ron because people I don't like, don't deserve him. But Ron deserves a Kudos so here it is!!

I purchased a used vehicle from a local dealer who used urbans to inspect the vehicle. a few months later when taking the vehicle to my mechanic for the abs light being on, my mechanic informed me the frame of the vehicle is completely rusted, has been welded together in spots, should not be on the road, and NEVER should have passed inspection. My mechanic refused to work on the brakes, stating that he would be robbing me if he took any money from me. My mechanic informed me there is no amount of money and nothing he could ever do to get this vehicle to pass inspection. when I confronted Mr. Urban with my mechanics report, he stated he is not a chop shop and he would never have passed inspection to a vehicle in this condition. yet right in front of me he found where he had indeed passed the vehicles inspection. I have filed complaints with the dmv, the state police, and the office of the attorney general. PLEASE DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE. August 20 2014.... just had the pa state dept of safety and emissions reinspect this vehicle at urbans. The quality assurance officer from same informed me there is no way the condition of this vehicle occurred since I purchased it. That to me says my mechanic is correct and this vehicle should not have passed inspection. The state dept removed my inspection sticker. I cancelled the insurance on the vehicle since... no inspection no driving. Here's hoping for sanctions!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ron here is a straight shooter, he only tells you what you really need for your vehicle, not like other places that come with a list of things wrong that you really do not need, the staff here is very knowledgeable and friendly; it is very hard this days to find an honest mechanic.
