Came recommended to me from Sean s used tires (also a fantastic local place!) in Taylor. I needed an alignment for the brand new tires I recently purchased. Highly recommend this place, very friendly and locally owned. Will be back for other work needed.

Extremely friendly family/locally owned business. I've had both of our VW's inspected and serviced here for ~ the past 2 years. Always available to help in a pinch and the service and price can't be beat. Today I had to stop in because the road thought my tire needed a carrying handle. Patched and plugged and out the door in under an hour with only an hours notice!Services: Tires, Tire rotations, Wheel alignment, Brakes, Auto emissions testing, Vehicle safety inspection, Auto brake replacement, Oil change

The work was done professionally and in a timely fashion. The mechanics were informative and friendly, garage was clean and organized and the owner Jason was hands on and knowledgeable. Price was better than fair. Overall the best automotive shop I've been to.

My wife s 2011 CX7 developed a squealing noise at idle which the dealer said was a transmission issue. I bring the car to Preitz and it was a simple worn out pulley!!!! They took less than an hour. To replace the pulley and belt. Didn t try to up sell me. Didn t try to sell me what was unnecessary. Just friendly, honest service. Prices are beyond reasonable. And they explain any repairs being done. So you know what is being done. Jason and his team are on a different level of not just respect for their customers but also on a different level of getting down to the very last detail of diagnostic work to make sure they're getting the job done right the first time. Very friendly and efficient with getting your vehicle fixed. Highly recommend!

We used Preitz to help diagnose and issue and replace our front differential bushings/mount. They are a great mom n pop family business who take care of their customers. Only sad we found them just before we moved out of the area. But now our family members who do, all use them. A gem of a mechanic. We came in from New York to pick up my father in laws jeep. It has not been driven in a few years and had been sitting in his driveway. My wife and I took the car to give to our son. It needed a lot of work. We had no idea who to call to get it back to home. We looked up mechanics and Preitz automotive had the best reviews and was conveniently located. All I have to say is they were and are first class. They made some minor fixes and were 100 percent honest. They told my wife and I to take it to our mechanic back home and get fixed what needed to be fixed. They didn t try to take advantage of us and. Jason (the owner) was amazing. We have a great mechanic in New York, but if you live in the scranton area preitz should be highlyconsidered for your automotive care. Lisa and Jason are great people! They do quality work in a timely pace. They explain everything that needs to be done to your car and offer to help search for your needed parts. They have squeezed me in last minute to work on my car when it was an emergency. I really enjoy going to them and will continue.

Where to even begin. We were driving through heading to New York when we stopped for gas and noticed smoke coming from under the hood of our car. It was 5pm and most mechanics were closing, but we found Preitz Automotive was open until 7pm (rare to find mechanics open this late). We gave them a call hoping they'd be able to just check things out. Man they checked things out and then some. Quickly identified the problem was our transmission fluid was too full. They fixed that and while that was being fixed, checked and topped off our oil, topped off our windshield washer fluid and topped off the air in our tires. They didn't need to squeeze us in, their lot made it apparent they were busy, but they did because we were passing through. It is so hard to find this kind of care and humanity anymore. Jason, Lisa and their crew are blessings and life savers. I would consider driving 2 hours from where I live just to have them take care of my future routine car care. They treated us like we were a neighbor and friend. If you're in the area and ever need service, we highly recommend taking your vehicle to Preitz.

Jay and Lisa are some of the nicest people I ever got to meet. They are humble and fair with their prices and they do amazing work. If you need your car professionally done, Jay and the guys will do the job right the first time with a great price! 5+ stars in my book!!

Preitz automotive is family owned and run. They are so friendly and helpful. The repair costs are fair and affordable. I get my car work done by them and hardly ever have to see them, so that speaks for itself! Love doing business with people I can trust to do a good job and charge the right price after so much searching and so many terrible car repair shops!

I have lived up and down the east coast from NY to Florida, in cities, and suburbs. I have dealt with mechanics for twenty years and have never ever come across a shop like this one. Jimmy was so helpful, and honest. He kept in contact with me all day. He knew I had an emergency and took my car in right away and it was fixed the same day! He is a great guy and this is a great shop! I recommend Preitz auto to everyone! I will be a customer for life!! Thanks again for everything!

I am from out of state and ran into a pickle when I realized the back tire was flat due to a nail. I did not know the area but it was recommended that I go to Preitz Automotive- and luckily I did! When I arrived I was warmly greeted and confidently reassured that the tire could be patched up which was a huge relief. In no time I was back on the road all thanks to this wonderful locally owned Automotive shop.Service: Tires

Jason is an absolutely amazing guy. He will not give you any BS, and will not tell you that you need anything that you don't. I won't take my cars anywhere else. If you want your vehicle fixed right the first time....with great prices...friendly staff... Knowledgeable mechanics that know what they are doing to get you back on the road.....you picked the right place.Family owned and operated. Just take a look at their full parking lot....that tells you a lot of people come here for a reason.....and just recently....I found out why.....you will NOT be disappointed.

This mechanic shop is amazing....There really isn't words for how awesome every mechanic is here...Everyone is very knowledgeable and the prices can't be beaten...The owner made me feel at home and even let me in the shop while the mechanic was working on my vehicle...I will always go to them when there seems to be an issue...You guys rock...

I am so happy a friend recommended this place to me. It is so nice to not be taken advantage of by a mechanic like at some of the chains. They actually care about their customers aand take the time to actually explain things to you. They don't over charge at all. I 100% recommend them to anyone.

Finally found a trustworthy mechanic shop in Pennsylvania. I have been all over Pennsylvania from wallenpaupack, to Scranton, Wilkes-Barre, and old forge. Every single one has caused more damaged to my vehicle and extorted me. Jason; Lisa and their team made me feel like family. I was quoted a reasonable price and the price stood the same after the job was done. No hidden fees, no extra damage that wasn't there before I meet them.no questions because every last detail was on my receipt, explaining step by step what was done and what you were charged for.so if your like me and like to stick to one mechanic this is definitely the place. Found a new doctor for my vehicles and plan to stay loyal.

These guys are great! I'm a busy mom and they make my life so much easier! They pick up my car for me, fix it and drop it off when it is finished. I've never found a shop that I felt comfortable with and that I can trust, but with Preitz I can! Thanks guys!

Worst mechanic I ve ever been too. Twice I came to them with 2 different cars and both times they didn t fix the problem, and charged me for parts I most likely didn t need, not to mention that both cars came out worse than when they came in. Don t go to here!!! Trust me

I have not even taken my vehicle here yet, BUT I called for an appointment because my heat is not working. Shop will be closed due to vacation next week.... BUT they told me EXACTLY what to check to see if I can get heat. That blew me away. I've never had a mechanic offer advice. AMAZING! I will be bringing my car here if the tips offered do not work! THANK YOU!
