I was a customer for over 15 years and have watched the quality of service and staffing decline dramatically. Recently I discovered they were not performing all of the maintenance ordered, specifically tire rotations on two of my vehicles. I have since started taking my vehicles to a more reliable service provider.

I had a 10 am appointment. I arrive 10 minutes early, did the check in . One other customer was seated in the waiting area. I took a seat and was on the internet when A mechanic came out to see where I kept the locking lug key. I told him and looked at my watch . An hour went by and they didn't even get started! I was only there for two front tires. About twenty minutes later I looked out to make sure they found the lug key and see how far they were. Now I look out to see two tire changers working but now they had all my tires off and starting to mount them. I had to get the counter salesperson to stop them and sort things out. The salesman put me down for four tires. I explained to him when I arrived just the front two because I had a set coming from an internet store but the front needed on before the set would arrive. After the work was done They showed me a loose wheel bearing on my jeep so I told them to give me a quote. The quote was $745 for one side installed. While they were getting the quote together I priced a wheel bearing hub assembly and found them from $69 up. I also looked at local parts store and the same assembly was $345. Chances are the parts store was where they were getting it from and with a discount for the part Iwould still be paying $350 an hour or more for labor. I decided to order the parts and do it at home. So I got the two tires . They were $145 each and a military discount bought them to $249. I have now been there 2 hours so I just wanted to go. After being asked 5 times if I wanted to apply for a Firestone card and I would save another ten percent on my purchase and could get the other work done on the card too. I paid $376 for what was to be 2 tires. The receipt went to my wife's email. Later I found out he charged me for road hazard without asking and they installed TPMS valve stems on a vehicle that doesn't have the monitoring system! A little more expensive than regular valve stems. I've been coming here for 30+ years . See the name change from Firestone to two other names and now Firestone again. Salesman friendly enough but apparently taught to upsell a little to hard and to tack on extras. Very slow for two people to change two tires. I gave a one star rating because the long time it took with no more than 3 customers the entire time I waited and also the $65 sneaky upsale . They used to give you paperwork for the Roadhazard insurance. Nothing given or emailed. Wife checked her email and spotted all the issues with billing. An estimated price was quoted for the Roadhazard at $21.90 but billed at $49.99.Take your time checking out ,ask to see the paperwork before checking out. (The it used to be). With a competitor opening soon a 1/4 mile away I would think things would be a little more to the customers satisfaction.

Dropped my car off for inspection andOil change. The store was closed but employees still in store. One of the employees came out and took care of getting my keys so that I didn t have to fill out the drop off paperwork. By her doing this it eliminated me having to stand in the cold to complete this. I didn t catch her name but thank you for not making freeze.

advanced auto tested my battery and said it was too labor intensive for them to install. firestone was right up the street so i called and they told me to bring it right in. i did not have a prior appointment but they took me in, no problem and even stayed late to finish installation. when they called to tell me my vehicle was ready, i explained i no longer had a ride and offered to come the next morning but the manager sent a car for me so i would be able to have my vehicle back that very same night. manager shane was kind, professional, courteous and absolutely went the extra mile where other shops would have just closed and finished the job the next day. thank you shane and the technicians that worked on my car!! you are so so appreciated! i will definitely be back AND recommend this shop to anyone in need of auto service/repair.

Wonderful experience! The store manager, Shane, was extremely knowledgeable and walked me through every repair being made to my vehicle. The technician working on my car was timely, friendly, and also very helpful with questions I had! Every time I come here I know I will be treated with the best care and get the work done correctly the first time. Beyond thankful for the incredible team here! (And their understanding when we have our kiddos with us!)

Would give zero stars if I was able to. Had an appointment for an inspection, was told it failed because of an illegible plate. They can not fail me for that, per Penndot. I went to Tote- M tag Service (shout out to them for being more helpful than Firestone employees) and they told me the plate has nothing to do with the inspection. I had already put in a request for a new plate two weeks prior, which totem was able to verify. Came back with the proper paperwork and they still gave me a hard time about the inspection. This was a 3 hour event. I will never come back here and based off other reviews, I m not sure how this place is still in business. They also lost my registration and insurance card for over 20 minutes with no explanation of where it was.Service: Oil change

I have used this place in the past and had a great experience. This most recent visit however was no comparison to that first one. Their online schedule, is not reflective of their in store schedule. I was able to schedule an appointment online but they were not able to keep that appointment. The team working at the register was not familiar with what was going on in the garage and they were trying to upsell service. I regularly take my vehicle to the dealership to be service and knew my brakes would need to be replaced soon but Firestone was trying to force me to have them replaced at their location. I would highly encourage you consider another location for your vehicle servicing.

Never go to this place!!! I bought brand new tires & have had issuers since the first second I bought them & they let me drive away with the tires on wrong. I went to work the next day and got a flat tire while driving because they didn t put the tire on right. Then I was driving home from work and the tire blew. I didn t run over a thing they just blew. I would never use this place again. I was in the waiting room and overheard staff say they were getting a 5 hour job done in a half hour so I m sure that person had issues after as well. It s scary to trust these people.if you want reliable service & tires do not use this place.Service: Tires

Took car for alignment and tire rotation, now my front tires are bald. The short is the appointment I set up the previous week was not in system, they set up a new one. Then after a day and a half I called to find out what's going on. They couldn't do the work because of the tires and claimed they tried to call but the phone( the one I was calling on) was not working. I don't know who they are trying to kid but lying to customers is B/S.. took my car to Jack Williams.. no problem there...

Would recommend you go somewhere else. Over charge for service, and try to get you to purchase stuff you vehicle doesn't need.

We had an appointment this morning to purchase 4 new tires - a gift for our daughter s Christmas. Tires reserved before Christmas and confirmed again yesterday 12/30 - she gets there this morning and they only have 3 tires. The service guy Damian told her he could put 4 other tires on for an upgrade charge of about $245 - seriously?? It s not our fault you sold our tires ~ the upgrade should be free!!! Damian was not helpful, was rude, no manager available, wouldn t give us any phone numbers for district manager. This place lost a $650 dollar sale (tires & alignment) due to rudeness and lack of customer service. Our daughter made special arrangements to drop off the car and get a ride back home all for this!!Called the Firestone in Painted Post Ny they were very accommodating and the same purchase was less $$ - shop around people!! Our daughter lives in PA so we went here .. never again!!

We ended up with a flat on our RV on our way to Tennessee. We called and they had a tire but told us they were booked and couldn't mount or balance it. When we got there, Charles the store manager got us the tire and also got it mounted and balanced for us. We appreciate him for going above and beyond and helping us get back on the road for vacation. I highly rate them!

The customer service I experienced was beyond Excellent, Carolyn's professionalization along with her knowledge of car care is exceptional. From the initial call to schedule an appointment to have new rims put on my truck to the final handshake was by far the most enjoyable and informative time I spent at a Firestone establishment. Not only were the staff pleasant they greeted the customers with a smile.I was very discouraged with issues brought to my attention that were performed at another establishment but at the same time thankful Management was very accommodating to make a wrong a right. I want to thank all of you for your dedication and treating me as a person and not a number. Please don't change and keep up the awesome work.

Very poor attitude from service advisor and several attempts to upsell items or hide behind "manager says so" routines. Mechanics expect older vehicles to be in perfect shape or classifies them all as junk. There are plenty of better options in the area (in no particular order) Bastian, Mavis, Mr. Tire, Kost, several dealerships, and multiple local shops to choose from.As of 2023 there is also a new Steve Shannon being built down the street from this shop along Shikellamy Ave.

As full-time RVers, we depend on Firestone around the country for our tow car. Yet again, they did not disappoint! We needed an alignment and explained our circumstances to Charlie who got us in the next day in spite of a busy schedule. Corey did the alignment and took time to explain it all to us, so we have a clear understanding. We were treated with professionalism and respect and would recommend this particular Firestone. It's a busy place, so make your appointment as much in advance as possible.

I needed an inspection done ASAP because I just got my car and the registration was due in five days. Every other garage I called was booked until the middle of the month which wouldn't work and Charlie managed to squeeze me in for Thursday! The only issue I ran into was after the inspection was completed I was told that my owner's card was out of date and that they couldn't pass it till I got a new one... I already had the paperwork in my glovebox, but one of the mechanics had "thoughtfully" tucked it away into my owner's manual without letting anyone know... Lackluster service and had to get it looked at a month later because my car started shaking violently only to be told that my lug nuts had been left too loose from the service that I had received here.

Very unfriendly. They also told me that my alignment was very off, which another shop completely disagreed with(as did I since I felt no usual signs). They did not give me the paperwork to show this "alignment issue". The tires themselves and installation was fine, but I do not plan on going back.

Had an appointment for 1 for inspection got there a few minutes early. An hour and fifteen minutes later they tell me car wont pass inspection and they had the rear brakes pulled apart for an emergency brake issue but never told me or asked if they could diagnose the issue. Wasted my time which time is money. Then he says the emergency brake works but I'm failing it. Not sure if I understand. I worked for Firestone I know how they operate shoulda never went back!

The work is normally good but in my experience the accuracy of the work isn't always there. By that I mean the wrong product might get ordered for you or something you specified to one person you didn't want to be billed for (like a road hazard warranty) wasn't communicated to the person who rings you up and it ends up on the bill. So, the work is good but it's a good idea to thoroughly review the details before paying.

Made an appointment for 10am for just an oil change on my pickup truck. Got there a few minutes before 10am and came back at 11am and the oil change still wasn t done. They mentioned they weren t aware is was a quick drop off appointment well I apologize for not being clear when I made my appointment for 10am that I needed it done at 10am. What s the point of making appointments? No pun intended. I would have been ok if they mentioned they were backed up and it ll be a little while until they get it to. You don t make a haircut appointment for 10am and not get it done until 11am, I know, what s hair got to do with an oil change. When making an appointment here just ensure both parties are on the same terms of when the job will be done. It s probably my fault that I don t know how firestone operates with their appointment procedures. Rant over.

After they claimed to have found my leak (bad valve stem internals - a very cheap fix) they discovered a second leak while holding the car overnight for me since I could not pick it up same day. This leak, somehow undiscovered the day prior, was also claimed to be in a part of the tread so close to the shoulder it was unrepairable. When I expressed my tepid disbelief at this turn of events the general manager, Charlie, snapped over the phone to me that he was offended at the insinuation and urged me to take it elsewhere.**My own experience working customer service is that it's not a business's or employee's place to express a personal feeling. If a customer expresses a concern you don't gaslight them, you patiently take the time to reassure them.Upon visually inspecting the location of this newly found hole myself with their tech spraying it with soapy water my vehicle experience helped me to conclude that they were being dishonest. Indeed, when I took it to Lewisburg Walmart Tire & Lube two independent, experienced mechanic friends in management indicated that it WAS indeed fixable amd performed the repair for me with success. It is my consideration that Firestone placed that 2nd hole there in what they deemed an unfixable location in an attempt to garner a tire sale from the situation. After they replaced the leaking valve stem internals and I retook possession of the car the tire lost air 2-3 times faster across an 8 hour period with comparable driving conditions and lengths as it had when I first discovered the slow leak two days prior. I suspect Firestone saw an opportunity and tried to manipulate the situation. In speaking with the service technician for the towing company that took my car there after this all transpired he indicated a similarly bad opinion of this business, specifically the general manager, Charlie.Approach this business with caution.

Charged me 361.99 for a fuel pump that was only 150.00 max and added 215.00 for labor for a total near 582.00 to change a fuel pump. The pump ended up being cracked where the vent hose attaches, so I put a new one on myself for 100.00. They will not give me any money back for the faulty part they put on and kept ignoring the fact that they charged me 361 dollars for the part. Don t take your vehicle there to be overcharged for easy work.

From oil changes & tire rotation, to inspections, to brakes & serpentine belts, Firestone has been a great auto place for me. The mechanics always explain what needs to be done, the price & the time involved. They are patient with questions & answer so a "non-car" person can understand. I would recommend this shop to anyone.
