A bit pricier than other options, but I don t mind. They always honor appointments, and they can usually squeeze you in a couple days if you need something immediately. Plus, Dawn is very helpful and adds coupons and discounts, even if you forget to bring them up/print them out. I ve been going here for over 5 years, and I ve always been satisfied. They do try to sell you on a few extra things, but that just feels like company policy they let it be if you say no.Bridgestone tires have also treated me well and always lasted until their warranty.

Doug the manager was super. I was traveling through State College when a tire showed low pressure. I pulled into Firestone and they quickly had my car on a lift and saw I had a 5-inch metal rod in the tire. They certainly could have convinced me that I needed a new tire, but they said it could be repaired and in less than 45 minutes, the job was done and I was safely back on the road for $32.08.

Courteous and accommodating with my needs. The extensive repair work (pretty much the entire front suspension needed replaced), was A++. I was a little concerned about little "potential issues" that could arise afterwards but as it turned out, my car rides smoother than ever!I'm very pleased with the service all around. I went in for an oil change and for them to look at a knocking sound in front end driver side. They contacted me to let me know the passenger side, tire rod, and the driver side axel rod were bad. They replaced the parts and I picked up the car that evening. The knocking sound was not fixed. I dropped it back off the next morning and they found out that the bolt holding the ball joint in place on the driver side was loose. Firestone installed this part 2 month ago earlier when performing the state inspection. They tightened the nut and the problem is now fixed. The issue I have is that they were replacing parts on the vehicle trying to fix the problem without looking into the work they had done previously. If they would have done the investigation throughout, I wouldn t have dropped an additional $800 on parts and labor that I am suspect if they needed actually replaced. If the parts truly did fail, they were likely missed on the state inspection that was done by the same shop 2 months prior.

Professional service, replaced all four tires with 70000 miles warranty tires for winter. Salesman is very knowledgeable and offered whole life tire rotation and filter changing package. Fast service with promised time. I had to wait some time even after setting an appointment, but other than that satisfied with the service. Will see how the new tire serves over time.

Dawn was more than helpful in answering all my question.. the firestone crew were all courteous and kind.. my tire had a valve stem leak.. they did it efficiently and quickly to get me to work on time

They are friendly and professional from the initial scheduling to the end of the appt..I have had positive experiences with my regular maintenance of oil change/tires, and brakes in the past.

Would not recommend- my daughter went in with a slow leak aka flat tire. They said it was not repairable and she would need to replace all four since it is a 4 wheel drive vehicle.

I was in the process of traveling or moving my daughter from Alabama to New York City And I had a flat tire on my trailer. I called 3 different places before Firestone who is busy also but they was able to squeeze me in with no issue. I purchased/replaced 2 new tires and they got me on my way. They were very professional thank you.

Got my alignments done here several times. You can't beat their life-time alignment deal. The staff is prompt and nice to deal with. Always honored my appointments and had the alignment work done within an hour. Also they are not pushy about suggested services.

Update to my initial review: I again have a broken lug when rotating my tires. Who tightened the lugs last? This Firestone location. If this happened once, I get it, folks make mistakes. Happens twice?... don't let them touch your tires.Quick pleasant service but my lugs were overtightened when they rotated my tires resulting in a broken lug when I had to change a flat.

I took in my car to have the tires looked at and some other minor things. I had mistaken the time of my appt and showed up an hour late. They took me anyway without any questions. The staff there were very friendly and honest. I watched them help multiple people while I sat there waiting for my car. They were kind and treated everyone with respect. I will continue my business with them

Scheduling nightmare. They put us on the schedule incorrectly, twice. They gave us a different appointment time over the phone then what was in their schedule both times. The first time the employee let us know that the mechanic that was scheduled to perform our inspection left early and moved the appointment up 30 minutes without informing us. Therefore, we were told we missed the appointment and needed to reschedule. We had to reschedule for a few days later which meant another 45 minute trip. When we called to verify the rescheduled appointment, they told us it was 2 hours later then the original time we had scheduled it for. We will not go here again, and we won t recommend this to anyone either too much of a hassle.

The office manager and mechanics here were very helpful and provided quick service on my rental car when I really needed it. It was 2:00 pm on a Saturday when I had an issue with a tire on my rental car while travelling halfway across the country. They were very busy but still fit me in so that I could get back on the road quickly to continue my long trip. Thanks again Noah (the mechanic) for delaying your lunch break to replace my tire so I could get back on the road safely right away. If I lived closer to here I would bring my vehicles here for repairs because of their great service!

I had a flat tire loosening air, And was lucky enough to be by Firestone. So I go in and ask if they could help me. And it was close to closing time so they decided not to help me, But they were nice enough to give me some air twice to make it to another garage that could help!!

I ve gone to Firestone several times for tires and also wheel bearing and sway bar replacement. Had a great experience every time . If you use the credit card you get 6 months same as cash which makes paying for service easy. Recommend

I m a younger woman and I know very little about cars so getting work done or even getting a simple oil change makes me somewhat nervous. I know that I could get ripped off or taken advantage of, and that happened to me at a few other places in the area before I started coming here. All the guys at Firestone are extremely friendly and nice. They always take the time to explain things to me when I bring my car in, even when they re clearly very busy, and they always let me know of other things that I might want to keep an eye on before I leave. They also don t try to talk me into getting additional work done if I don t really need it, which I appreciate because I m a bit shy and struggle to decline. I often call my uncle, who owns a car shop in my hometown, to see if a price is reasonable, and this is the first place I ve found in State College where he always thinks the prices are fine. This is the only review I ve ever written on anything, but I think these guys are the best and deserve a good review. 10/10. I appreciate their service and kindness.

They did an excellent job on my jeep despite being really busy. Manager kept me informed. My jeep got it's pep back. It's an older 1998 Jeep Cherokee. I could see the mechanic, working really fast.So I give a good review because they did a great job. I think compared to some small shops I've been to around State College, these guys put the rest to shame. My jeep sounds and runs like it did years ago.Like I said, they were really busy. At least 4 vehicles getting fixed at once, 3 more customers coming in, answering calls, and did It great.Thanks

I got four new tires and an oil change. It took the mechanics well over 2 hours to complete. It didn't seem particularly busy, but of course I wasn't aware of what might be in their garage. The waiting space was equipped with a few more comfortable chairs and a television though I mostly used the wifi. The staff seemed friendly enough though pressured me to purchase some things that I didn't need. I declined which was no issue. The price for the oil and tires was solid and the work seems good so far (months later). I might go back if I had something to do rather than wait in their office as the job might take longer than expected.

Called them up and asked if they could fix 2 things for my jeep (Pep boys was unable to do the work for some reason, weird.. because it was on a tire).Friendly service on the phone and in person. They were finished the day I brought it in, much faster than I expected considering it looked like their lot was full. Will definitely return here.

Took a car in for brake problems and they tried to charge my gf $60 to replace her cabin air filter. Which she replaced less than a week beforehand. Also tried to charge me almost $150 for an oil change last time I took my car in.

I scheduled appointment for 1pm to put on new tires which they told me would take an hour. I got there early they assured me that the car would be ready by 2:30pm. Then when I stop by later at 2pm they started telling me they were backed up and did not touch my car yet. What a waste of time! There is no point making an appointment with them as they don't seem to respect customer's time. Not coming back.

I had a oil change at Firestone. I have had my vehicle since 2014 and never had the light come on to have oil changed because I always have oil changed prior to indicator light coming on. I was concerned because the light is on and I have over a 1,000 miles before oil change is due, took vehicle in elsewhere and was told there was way TOO MUCH oil, now I have an oil leak I notice invoice reads "bring vehicle back for oil change when light comes on, never have I seen this on any prior invoices. 2 of my 4 tires are missing their caps both on the passenger side so I did not notice while hopping into driver side. New to the area and thought going to a reputable company would be a smart choice, a expensive lesson learned! Do not make same mistake

** Update** had tires put on a few years ago. Then they were part of a recall, which meant I got all new tires. Fine..no big deal. But now after inspection, I have to get new tires because even through the tread is great, there is a lot of dry rot! My garage says this is a known problem with FIRESTONE TIRES....please people....this is no joke. Do not use FIRESTONE. I could have been in a serious car accident from a blow out.-After taking my car there for years and never being told my exhaust was leaking, all of a sudden I need to have the entire thing replaced since they don't only fix the faulty parts. People have asked me for years if I have a exhaust leak and I said no since it passed inspection. Surprise surprise, once I took it to another garage, my car is nice and quiet with $1300 in savings. Were they not inspecting my car all these years, or did they think as a woman I had no idea of how a car works? Unfortunately for them, I can work on my car and do so all the time. Thanks Monro for gaining a new customer for life. Save yourself the trip and avoid firestone.
