Eric was a true life saver! We broke down in a precarious place on the side of the PA turnpike on our way back to DC after a college visit. It was later in the afternoon and most shops were either closed or said they couldn t help. Not only did Eric diagnose our alternator problem, but helped us get the new part and worked well into the evening to get us back on the road. The work was exceptionally well done and he even followed up with a text to make sure we got home ok. There are awesome and honest people in this world and Eric is one of them!!

Local to Somerset here, heard of Eric and his shop thru a friend and decided to drop my car of for an oil change, new filters, and a mount and balance of my new tires. The job was done quick and correctly. I've got to say you don't run into people like this often. his shop might be small, but I'll be having him service my cars for the remainder of my time here in Somerset.Thanks again Eric!

Quick to get us in but overall very displeased with the work and follow through. Went in for an inspection and new brakes and rotors less than a year an 10k miles ago and the front brakes have never been right despite a second checkup from Eric in which he insisted everything was fine. Now his only response to my most recent follow up with the same dangerous brake issue was "this is why he doesn't work on older cars anymore." So moral of the story if you have an older car don't go to Eric!

I was two and a half hours into a five hour trip to ride ATVs in Pittsburgh when the check engine light went on in my truck that was pulling a trailer full of ATVs. Turns out it was a misfire in one of the cylinders. I got a referral from a local auto parts store that Eric could do the work. I bought the parts and Eric dropped what he was doing and fixed my truck in under an hour. Would definitely recommend him. Thanks Eric. You saved me a big headache.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

I m a newer customer to Eric s Auto, and I must say this was the best auto service I ve ever received. I ve gotten an oil change a few weeks ago and new brakes and rotors today. I m not the most mechanically savvy, but he explained everything clearly. Very friendly and personable. I 100% recommend, and I ll definitely be coming back for any of my other vehicle needs.

Eric has worked on my vehicle several times now. Replaced my brake lines and bled the lines afterwards. He also replaced my fuel pump and replaced some of the fuel tank straps when the tank was dropped in order to change the fuel pump. He's very thorough and keeps you updated on your vehicle's progress. Will be coming back for all future mechanical needs.Services: Brakes, Brake service & repair

Eric and his pops are the coolest. Extremely friendly and both are highly skilled. He has excellent prices and is a highly trained automotive technician. He and his father have repaired my car several times better than the dealerships. If you're not going to Eric's, you're going to the wrong place. Go here for sure. He's my go-to technician when I'm visiting the Pennsylvania area.

Was their when we needed mechanic the most. We were coming from Missouri to Virginia and our SUV broke down. Even though the shop wasn't open he still helped us get back onto the road. Highly recommend.

Eric's is definitely the place to call for great service. Eric and his father have worked on several of my vehicles, most recently my Subaru Impreza. The engine was in terrible condition. Blown head gasket, heater core, radiator, and several other problems. Eric was able to get the job done with no problem. The engine was removed and repaired, replaced the radiator and also did the timing. Eric did awesome work removing the dash/interior and getting it all back in. Eric is a great person and very good at what he does. Quality work at a fair price from great people.

Highly recommend this garage to everyone needing repairs. They replaced brakes,rotors,calipers,and wheel bearing on my truck. They were quick and done a thorough job checking the front end for any issues. They even noticed that paint was a different color on the inside of fenders. They asked me if it was reconstructed. Never had a garage notice it or mention it to me before. I was aware of the color difference because body was damaged from a deer hit. It was just nice that they passed that on to me in case I didn't know. They're honest and rates are reasonable. Go see them for your auto repairs!

This was a great place to take my car for inspection. He did find that my brakes and rotors were bad, but as soon as I got there he showed me how bad they were. His prices were good. Eric is a very transparent and honest mechanic. It feels good to go to a mechanic you can trust. I will definitely be going back when I need things done to my vehicles.Service: Brakes

Eric has outstanding intrigrity and goes well over and beyond to get the job done. His honesty and fair prices are to be commended. We were passing by returning home to Detroit when our car broke down in rest stop. Eric had every opportunity to take advantage of our desprite need to get back on the road, he did not. My car broke down on my 10 hour drive and he went above and beyond to help me. He came to the turnpike plaza to see if it was a simple fix and once it was towed to his shop, he kept me updated and was very honest. He worked late to try and get me back on the road sooner then knowing I was stranded, he offered to drive me to my hotel or anywhere else that was needed.I rarely trust mechanics, but this is someone I would come back to in a heartbeat if I lived anywhere nearby.

Daughter (Emily Younkin) told me about Eric. Had lower control Arms replaced. Eric, did a wonderful job, showed where the replaced part was bad and even stayed past hours just to get the job done. Eric's Automotive was phenomenal when I needed a mechanic. I needed my clutch and flywheel replaced. Then turned out my transmission also needed replaced due to damage my clutch caused. They tried so hard in respects to finding a transmission to get my car back on the road. They are the friendliest mechanics I've met, and won't find anyone else better for the service. Eric and his dad were really amazing and helpful for a stranded dad with his 5 year old on the turnpike. While they didn t ultimately fix the issue (it was covered under warranty by the dealership) they were courteous, up front about the problem, and professional! I hope I never get stranded in Somerset again but if I do, I know where I m telling the tow truck to go straight away. I d give more stars if it was possible!

LIFESAVER!! Opened up from close for us, as we were stranded from out of town far from home and far from our destination. Got us in right away, diagnosed the problem, called several places for special parts on our behalf. He was super transparent with us the whole time, and offered to help us out if the corporate place down the way was going to squeeze us on prices. We may very well end up back here, and we would absolutely recommend even just for the conversation :)Thank you, Eric!!!!
