We started having mechanical problems on our way down to PA. We were concerned driving back, as it is a 10 hour drive. We took a chance and stopped here to have them take a quick look. They were incredibly kind and knowledgeable. They fixed the issue, on a Friday night, staying after hours to ensure we had a properly functioning vehicle for our return trip. My sisters and I ran into some car trouble during our road trip and stopped here for assistance. The owner and his son were friendly, efficient, and transparent with us as they fixed the problem. I would highly recommend their services.

Highly recommended! I had a fantastic experience with this garage. Was in need of inspection including brakes, rotors, tires and a few other consumables I did not mention in my contact. Attention to detail was obvious, as the known shot wipers were replaced as well as a bulb.They were able to squeeze me into their schedule and had everything finished within a day. When I arrived for pickup slightly before they officially opened, I was given the offer of seeing the old parts. I respectfully declined.If you are looking for an honest garage, this is the place to go.Services: Tires, General repairs & maintenance

I can't recommend this shop enough, especially for Susquehanna students. It's a short drive from campus, their service is extremely quick and the staff is very knowledgable and friendly. My car went from unable to start up on a faulty battery connection, to running perfectly in five minutes. I will definitely be going again for all future car repairs.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Battery

I recently moved to the area and they were really good about taking my car in ASAP when I noticed my inspection had expired (the next morning, actually). They were very nice and courteous and I will use their services again. They also came recommended to me by a friend who was happy with their services as well.*** Update*** I have used them for 3 years now and I've upgraded their services to 5 stars. They are honest with fair prices.

I highly recommend this place! We were traveling for vacation and hours from home and out car started having problems. I recently moved to Selinsgrove and a colleague recommended Wetzel & Son's, since it's close to our work. I called the afternoon of Monday 11/29, as my inspection was expiring at the end of the month, and was pleasantly surprised when they told me I could drop my vehicle off first thing Tuesday morning. My car, a 2012 Nissan Altima with 127k miles, had seen better days. It was in desperate need of new tires, an oil change, an all-around service/tune-up, and I was worried there may be more hidden surprises. After some bad experiences being nickel-and-dime'd by the dealership for years (every time I went in for an inspection, it seemed like they found an excuse to squeeze every penny out of me - $300 to replace the turn signals in my side mirrors, otherwise they wont pass the inspection? What?) I was happy to do business with a small independent mechanic this time instead. Allen Wetzel did a fantastic job! He handled all my requested repairs without issue and for a reasonable price, and was even able to perform the emissions inspection (as my car is still registered outside of Snyder County.) I was happily informed that aside from a couple small things (like needing a quart of antifreeze), no additional repairs or major maintenance was needed. Allen even cleaned some corrosion off my wheels and topped off my brake fluid free of charge! Now, my car is running quieter and driving smoother than it has in years. I will absolutely be doing business here again, and would recommend this garage to anybody in the Selinsgrove area needing service on their vehicle.Services: Tires, General repairs & maintenance, Oil change

Mr.Wetzel is a great mechanic. I reccomend going here. Good, honest mechanic. Prices are also great. Local mechanic, You dont have to worry about going here. A lot of the "big" garage's, chain garages often try to squeeze all they can out of you. You never have to worry about that here. They do an amazing job and are honest. Highly recommend going here.

After 2 days of traveling, we blew a tire 12 minutes from this garage. Googled a garage in the location we were and found them. We re kind enough to get two tires for us and mount the both so we could continue on our trip. Had a short in my electrical system. He explained how he used this fancy piece of equipment and found the problem. He pulled the relay from the fog lights and said this was the problem. 2 days later went out to start the truck and it was dead as a door nail. The second problem was a grinding noise when i applied the brakes. As of today still doing it. I know it was close to Christmas but i felt like I was a rush job with nothing fixed.Services: Electrical, Brakes

Called rather late in the day while traveling back into the area and asked for an inspection that pushed close to their closing time and they were great. Allen and his son were nice and very fast. I have been looking for a trust worthy garage for a while to do the things I can't and I believe they might be the spot.

Called on a Friday to see about getting my A/C fixed on a 2011 Ford F-250 6.7. We talked extensively about the issues and that my f350 had the evaporator core go out, and that from past experience that's what I thought had happened with this truck as well. Mr Wayne begins to tell me that he can fix it to bring it on in and he will take a look at it, he tells me upfront that it will be a 75.00 charge for the inspection. He tells me to bring it by Monday, so I drop it off Sunday evening and when I call Monday morning he informs me that it is the evaporater core, that he could smell it when he opened the door. The he tells me he can't work on it after all, so needless to say he just wanted to make a quick 75.00, because he begins to use a neck operation as an excuse to not be able to work on my truck. Like you didn't know when I called you that you were having an operation and could have simply told me to take my business else where and been an honest man and saved me some time and money.

I've known the wetzel's most of my life and I can honestly say they are among the nicest mechanics I've ever met. More than that they do honest work every time I've gone. Highly recommend them to anyone and everyone.

I was originally quoted at 200 for a new battery, but then they realized that the negative battery terminal was the issue and only charged me 20. Great, honest, and fast mechanic. I will be going to them for as long as I live in Selinsgrove.
