The service I received from Tom and his staff was second to none. Before going to Universal, I went to several body shops looking for quotes to fix acid rain spots on my Mustang. They all wanted several thousand dollars to strip, repaint. etc. Tom offered a much simpler solution for a reasonable price and it turned out awesome. They are unlike most auto repair places who only care about their bottom line. Universal cares about their customers, no joke. I drove by the shop at 8:00 p.m. and there was Tom still working on my car so I could have it the day he promised. Now that is service! If you are looking for a body shop, give them a chance, you won't be disappointed.

I do not think anyone wants to be involved in an accident. If you are I suggest you go and see Tom and his staff at Universal. Still in shock moments after being hit I went into see them and Butch explained the entire process re: Insurance and made me feel at ease. I love my car and someone had just backed into my MINI Coopers door..I, along with the door were crushed. Well, my car looks like brand new, the special metallic paint is a perfect match! Tom and his staff kept me informed during the entire process. Fantastic job and a big Thank You to the entire staff. So much so...I have booked a detailing! This is the place to go..if I could give more than 5 stars I would not hesitate.

This was my first time ever I had to deal with my car repair because my husband was away for a few days. I hit a deer and thought that my car needed only a minor repair.I called few places to find out if they can help me and then decided to try Universal Body Shop first. I made this choice based on pleasant but still very professional tone of the phone conversation. Soon after I arrived at the shop, I knew picked the right place. Tom Basalyga, the owner, gave me all advice I could ask for. He explained what needed to done and how to file an insurance claim. With his assistance, I actually filed my claim while sitting in his office. It turned out that my naive estimate of the damage was way off and I could not drive the car because it was unsafe. Since I did not expect it, I had no ride home. Tom helped me again and drove me from his garage in Scranton to my home in Clarks Summit. It was a tremendous help! Now, I have my car back and I am trilled with the job! All the repairs are done and the car looks great! I would highly recommend Universal Body Shop to anyone but especially for someone like me who needs a lot of guidance.

I bought a used car this weekend from MotorWorld late Friday so I didn't get the opportunity to have a mechanic do a once over. I noticed a few things that seemed off in the color of the panels and in the fit and finish . This concerned me despite having a Carfax. I explained my concerns to Tom and he was able to do a brief inspection. I didn't realize how much needed to be considered but thankfully I got his professional opinion which comes from his years of experience . Pearl white is challenging for any plastic bumper to match and those gaps and based on Toms opinion those inconsistencies are not from an accident Tom helped me to understand that it's a Ford not a BMW. I felt relieved and if I need any body work in the future I will definitely see Tom at Universal.

I have nothing but nice things to say about Universal. My car was completely smashed in, and not only did they repair it but they made it look better than it was before. They kept me updated on everything going on and were very friendly. Tom and Butch are the guys I want repairing my car if I ever need to again. They go the extra mile, and that's something to be valued in the auto industry. Definitely a strong recommendation for these guys.

Highly recommend to anyone needing a collision damage repair. Great job guys !!!!!!!!!!

Don't waste your time. I stopped by for an estimate and everything seemed fine. Told me he'd call me the next day, he didn't. I called him back on a Friday, and he said he was still waiting to hear about some prices so he would call me on Monday. I never heard from him, so I went to Danny Portanova's in West Side. It took him 10 minutes and he had a complete estimate written up, which ended up being right on par with what the adjuster estimated.

First quality body and paint restoration . Timely job completion fair pricing and work with most reputable insurances . And ... Just a great buncha guys

Easy to stay in business when you don't pay your vendors. Tom is dishonest as does not make good on his debts.
