Be careful doing anything more than an oil change here. I got 4 new tires there and just went to have them rotated during my oil change to find they stripped my lug nut and now I need a brand new one on. 2021 car. Please avoid if you can even though the tire deals look great.

Left home on a Sunday to drive to Florida. 20 mins into trip, got a flat. Pep boys was the ONLY place open on a Sunday and was 35 miles away, so we had no choice. Made an online appointment (easy!) and was the first customer there when they unlocked their doors. The staff there was sympathetic and professional. They were unable to patch the tire, so we had to purchase a new tire. Well, 4 new tires as all 4 were worn, something my usual service place missed when they rotated my tires 2 weeks ago. They also caught that all 4 wheels were out of alignment and corrected that as well. Thank you so much to the staff at the Scranton, PA Pep Boys. You made our experience painless and as quick as possible! We made it to Florida and back with absolutely no issues.

I just purchased a vehicle from Carvana and needed to get an inspection done in 10 days. I heard good things about Pep Boys, and everything I heard was right. Patrick was awesome as our tech, he had great customer service! He even gave us a free appetizer card. Service was quick and valuable. Would recommend to come here for inspections.

There s a reason we haven t been to pep boys for 25 years.. The experience getting new tires reminded me why. Got a deal on tires which was great. Made appt, then Sat in a waiting area, no vending machine just a keurig and some bottles of water for 3.5 hours. Finally we were done. Drove home and the tires were totally out of balance so we called to have it fixed. Brought the vehicle back with an appt waited 2 hours. Got the car back and it s out of alignment. 3rd appointment. Told us it would be 30 minutes, 45 minutes later they came out and said it s not the alignment but mechanic didn t look at it, hi apprentice did. He ll look at it and see what he can do. After 2 hours he actually looked at and fixed it mostly. It s a little betterYou wouldn t get me back to pep boys if you gave me 4 free tires for life.Everyone was friendly but that doesn t make up for everything else

Recently traveled to Scranton, PA and blew a tire along the way. It was late in the day and it was near closing time for the local Pep Boys. I called the service center and they were kind enough to wait for me to have my vehicle towed, using the Pep Boys towing service, and have the tire changed out and replaced with a new tire. The service attendant and technician were both very friendly, patient and accommodating. Really appreciate it!

Great customer service all around! From the Cashiers and the General Manager, Patrick, who was very professional, honest & helpful. Will definitely be going back to get my tires there soon & all service on my vehicle.

I understand this job is a business and I understand trying to make a buck but what did and said was outright illegal, they told me I was unable to get a wheel alignment unless I spend 1400 $ in tires when ture tread has nothing todo with alignment my tires were low on tread yes but not bald which doesn't affect the alignment of the wheels, I spend almost 2 hours there to be told we can't help you less you spend a ridiculous amount of money the tires new are only 125 a tire so I don't understand where the other 700 came from I even bought a set for 200 used will not go here again due to extreme price hikes

I needed a new battery on a Saturday. The only shop I found that was neither closed nor about to close for the day was Pep Boys in Dickson City, Scranton. It was the best service I have gotten from any big name auto repair shop. Nice people, curteous, classy. The waiting area is nice, clean, with complimentary coffee, water tv, and wifi. I did not have to wait much. Darren Lupole, the Service Manager, was an absolute gentleman. He went out of his way to explain everything, give me options, even demonstrate solutions. He never let me feel rushed and was genuinely honest in his assesment. I am extremely impressed and grateful. The other employees also were very curteous and amicable. Will definitely be back.

If you want to be screwed over and them try to get $700 for $300 worth of work then go here. Also they try to push headlight restoration for $34 real hard and don't honor coupons. We decided to give this pep boys a shot after getting screwed over by one in Lancaster a few years ago and definitely would have regretted it luckily we didn't have the money so we didn't get screwed and went to another shop

I had a long trip on a snowy day out of state when I realized my tire was deflating. I stopped to get air but it did not resolve my issue. I searched for a place that would change a flat tire to a spare and came across this Pep Boys location. They began working on my tire within minutes of my arrival. They not only repaired my tire but put air the other three. They were friendly and efficient. I felt bad keeping them there in a snow storm but they came through for me and made sure I was safe to get on the road. I highly recommend this location!

I go to these guys for everything there all great! Just did inspection on my Tuscon had me in and out in 40 minutes. Love pep boys

I had 4 new tires installed here and 1 of them leaked for years.Every few weeks I had to fill it up.My guess is and I'd bet money they didn't clean the wheels before setting the tire bead

Excellent service by mechanic Jose and updates and helpful information from Patrick. I was very happy with the entire experience that I m coming back for future service in the spring like state inspection and tuneup etc.! Thank you very much

Took the old truck in for inspection, get told I have rusted and pitted rotors that need to be replaced, along with some other things (tires and brake pads), which I was aware of. I declined the service, and went to another mechanic, where I took the following pictures of my "rusty and pitted" rotors. They measured fine and are acceptable to the guy about 3 miles away...Safe to say, Pep Boys is probably not the best choice for an ethical mechanic who won't add a bunch of stuff on top to run the bill

I still have the same issue I had after taking my vehicle in with the tire vibration. The tires were not properly balanced when installed, so I took it back to be fixed and I went home with the same problem. They did not confirm the problem was gone before checking me out and charging me. Either their tire balancer is broke or the help doesn't know how to balance tires properly. Now I have to take my vehicle to have the problem fixed elsewhere. What happened to checking to make sure the issue is resolved before claiming the job is done?

Avoid PepBoys at all cost ..they re a scam company ..They re such a failure they had to close the store and parts department. Won t be long before their tire and service department is closed forget about a complaint .Their management will not follow through with their words. A men s word used to mean something. Don t be scammed .Go somewhere else avoid trouble.

I made an appointment to install a set of new tires. I showed up at the correct time and was told they had it listed as a drop off and would need 3-4 hours. I explained that I didn t have the time so I had to reschedule for another day. The place is really run down. The auto parts store is closed. It s a dive. I wouldn t return

We had to limp into this place on our way from Vermont to Florida, after my vehicle s brakes went after a shoddy repair by a different shop just the day prior. Darren was extremely understanding and compassionate and assured me he would do everything in his power to get us safely back on the road.To our surprise, the repair was done in less than 1.5 hours, even though they were busy. The repair job was excellent and the service was amazing.If I lived in the Scranton area, I would only ever bring my vehicles here.Thank you, Pep Boys, and especially Darren for taking away our stress and getting us home safely!

Although they weren t able to help fix the problem with my tire, they didn t press me to purchase a single tire which was out of my budget. Great Big Thank You to Patrick and Bobby. You guys are Awesome.

The service advisor we dealt with in person were fantastic.. the person who was on the phone when we called for updates, no so much, he was dismissive and a bit rude. The mechanic, who didn t work on my vehicle, but was there at pick up, jumped right in and fixed the problem I found with my wiper motor function, he fixed it with out issue!

I was left with a last minute issue of needing tires, and went on the website to make the appointment which was available on the same day. Spoke to Jerry at the Dickson City location and he was very friendly, to the point, and helped me to get everything set up for the appointment. Would highly recommend!!

Ordered tires on line and CONFIRM install, only to arrive to find out they don't have the tires I ordered, only more expensive ones. CORPORATE NEEDS to invest some money in a proper website that actually has real time inventory and doesn't waste people's time.

Great job guys I call asking if they have the tires I need 225/55r17 they said yes I go over and less then 30 minutes I have the new tires install for a very good price..... quick without making a appointment

I brought my car in to have a major repair and an inspection in August. I went to several other mechanics who were overpriced. Pep Boys were honest, charged a fair price, and even covered the cost of a driver service home & back while I waited . I am very pleased with the work that was done. I passed Pep Boys every time I shopped at Aldi's or Wegmans and never thought to go in. I'm very happy I did. I know where I'm having all future car repairs done
