Called around before calling Kelly's. Kellys prices were much much cheaper for the same exact tires, and got me right in! Very friendly service, and fast! Definitely very happy and would recommend them to anyone !

Allan and Gary are the nicest ppl ... these two gentlemen have been running their business for many many years and have a great selection of tires to choose from and if they don't have what you need on hand get definitely get it in most cases the very next day... Their prices on new tires beat everyone's else hands down.. quick service with a great crew ...

Best prices. Best service. Great people. My dad has been going here since before I even thought about a drivers license. Lol. Now my kids get there tired here too. Went there a few weeks back to get a tire put on (was driving on a donut) they couldn t do it because they had guys call off. This has been the ONLY time I ve ever left there kinda meh IN OVER 25 YEARS with my own cars!!!! To go that long & only have a kind of meh thing happen . THATS FREAKING AMAZING!!! Owners are A+++++ guys all the way! Guys in garage are GREAT! I m headed there in the next 1-3 days for 4 new tires.

Old school gentleman absolutely love it there. They really treated me like family and it my first time there. Price wise- They beat everyone s price by 20% and 2nd of all, the customer service might of been the best i have ever received.10/10

Best TIRE place in town!!! Best PRICES by far then anyone else! They have a huge stock of tires if they don't have it in stock they will get it for you. It goes by first-come-first-serve. You walk in and he will tell you how long the wait is or if you should come back. Really good people. We get all of our tires here they even have RV tires in stock. Rotation is free, mounting is free. Unlike Pep Boys and all those other places like Walmart that charge you to put the tires on. You also get to come back and get them rotated for FREE.

If you're looking for a no frills tire shop that will just sell you tires and isn't going to up sell you or push their credit cards and other services you don't need, this is your place!This is the only place I get tires. It's a small shop that hasn't changed very much over the years. The owner runs the front end with a notebook of prices, no fancy computers to keep replacing at your dime. The racks of tires are the only decor they need. Last time I bought tires, I called every shop in the area, and Kelly Smertz was over $120 cheaper than the next closest shop (on all terrain truck tires). Just a simple tire shop with the best prices and some salt of the earth guys running it.Get there early if you plan on just walking in. They open at 9:00, I got there at 8:30, and was 3rd in line.

Excellent local, family owned business. Prices for tires are very competitive and service is quick and professional. The front office staff is extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Complimentary tire rotation every 5k miles. Will definitely be my primary source for tires going forward.Important to know they are walk-in service only, although you can call or email ahead for pricing and availability of tires. Weekends get very busy so if you can go during the week it's much quicker.

Fair prices, poor staffing, lack of recognition of repeat customers. Biggest concern is waiting 3 days plus for a tire they have in stock, there's just a careless oh well attitude . It's a shame this place is falling apart, you used to be able to just walk in and get what you needed. Now it's taking 3 days for 1 tire.i don't get it . If I call days before and am scheduled an appointment why it's not being serviced at the time agreed is ridiculous. The guys who run this place need some fresh blood in here this is just crazy . They don't care. It's getting to the point I rather pay a higher price and get proper service than deal with this .

Just a basic rubber meets the road tire shop. No B.S. no over selling! Very little sizzle in the steak! That's why we buy all our tires for years here. Smells like a dirty cigar and I'm good with that. You're not paying for a modern facility and lots of overhead here just tires and installation. I highly recommend.

Beware for your own sake to check your tire pressures before you leave.My cars TPMS CAME on after having four tires put on. Right front tire was at 54 psi when it should have been 35. Other three tires weren't as high but definitely off by 4 to 7 psi per tire.Could be a new guy has no clue how to read what pressure goes on a tire. Only explanation I can come up with. But because of the lack of knowledge it cost me to bring my car in to have the TPMS checked. Only to find out tire pressures where way off.

I went here today on a recommendation from my brother. The service was good, and they got the tires changed faster than I expected - I'd say within two hours or so. Prior to posting this review, I also looked at the other reviews. I think the reason that one person had an issue with the two tires he did not want replaced is because I face similar concerns today when I went there. They told me they do not like to replace just one or two of the tires, because it can cause uneven wear or affect things in unpredictable ways. That is a justifiable reason, in my opinion. I told them to do it anyway, and they did. Their prices were great - below local competition. Staff was friendly - but I see how people could interpret them the wrong way. It's just their type of personality, really, but it's OK - just misinterpretable.

We Just got 4 high quality tires mounted in under a half hour. Great crew and Very fast service, without sacrificing quality. If you are looking for real deals and attentive service, Smertz is the only place for tires.

Honestly the best place Ive ever been for tires. Squeezed me in and still with fast and reliable service. 4 new tires, fixed mistakes other garages made, and was still cheaper than any other place Ive been. The staff was amazing!!

I went to KSmertz bkz my tire blew from running over a vape pen. It went into the tire about 5 inches. Needless to say, it was not salvageable. Alan was right on it. They did not have my tire brand and size in stock. But he called a few places and found me one to be delivered the next day! That's great service. I have been going to Smertz for years. They never let me down. A big shout out to Howie who's been there 42 years!!

Never go here for tires, they don't have computers to look up customers, they don't care and they lie and don't know if it is a female or male answering the telephone. Their customer service is official and they could careless about former customers, once they have you money they are satisfied. I would never recommend anyone go to this place for tires. And the signs and online say they open at 9 am, that's a lie. I called from 9 am until 9:25 am and someone finally answered the phone. I said can you look up a customer, they guy said no we don't have computers. So how are you a tire company with no computers to look up customers or tires sizes? Looking to be treated like nothing go to Kelly Smertz they are the best tire service company in Scranton, who don't treating customer with respect. I realize something great customer service is very important to any company, but when some man on the phone morning said to me "uh what do you want me to do, we don't have road side assistant" instead of saying if you can get the car towed to us we will help you, then I never will recommend now come to your establishment again life. We will get the tire repair and taken off, but guess what Kelly Smertz is the one who put the new on the vehicle, and could less that a young female is stuck, because they put the bolt on too tight. I suggest drive pass Kelly Smertz and go somewhere you will be appreciated.

I wouldn't get tires anywhere else. The selection and prices are great. They are a little old fashioned here and the wait can be a little long but well worth it to get tires at 40% off retail. Gary and Alan, the owners, are friendly and helpful.

Purchased Cooper Discoverer tires for my Jeep. The tires are amazing for a great price. They had my vehicle in and out in under 30 minutes. Fantastic service! I will be going back for all my future tires here.

You will not find better prices on tires anywhere in Scranton or in the area. Owner and his brother very congenial, easy to work with. Would highly suggest this place of business.
