Had my car here for a state inspection. Proprietor won't nickel and dime you to add items for you to pass inspection.

They were very accommodating with me when I wasn't able to pick up my car before they closed. They were able to diagnose and fix the problem quickly and were nice enough to work with. If I have issues again, I have no problem taking my car to them.

This business is under new ownership and it's customer service quality has gone down. Dropped off a vehicle to be looked at and it took two weeks to get a diagnoses. We had to keep calling to find out if they had looked at it and it took them another two weeks to finish the work and they charged an exorbitant amount of money. Have been a customer of Scotland Automotive for many years and previously customer service was 5 Star. I will say that when the repair was finally done it was done well.

Scotland Auto is the only place I take my vehicles in Chambersburg. The owners and staff of this place are exceptional in their service and care of my car. They understand the feelings you have when you are stuck without a car. They hold an incredibly high view of integrity and would never charge you or inform of something needing replaced that just doesn't. Great service, great staff.

We bought a BMW 128i in the area, and prior to purchase had it inspected by Scotland Automotive. We're two hours away from Chambersburg, and made all arrangements with Scotland over the phone. The shop was quite helpful. A comprehensive inspection was done for an hour's shop time. The inspection gave confidence to proceed with the purchase. A couple items for attention were identified, but when I suggested the shop might address them while they had the vehicle, shop owner Jeff advised against it, correctly noting that we did not yet own the car. That is, Scotland works in the customer's best interest--the inspection wasn't a means to generate service business. Impressive! In my view, Scotland Automotive is competent and trustworthy and suggest you give them a try. (Because I learned of Scotland through net reviews, I'm returning the favor with a couple postings.)

Very helpful, I was far from home, my car was making a terrible noise. I stopped to have it checked. They checked it for me at no charge and let me know that it was safe to drive home.
