We booked our hotel room for the eclipse in advance. We booked a king bed, but ended up with two queens. I was fine with that. The room was visually clean and well done. The lady at the front desk was kind. However, the bedroom smells strongly of cigarette smoke and it immediately hit us upon opening the door. I have severe asthma and everything is booked solid. The next morning, my 5 year old opened the drawers in our room and we found dirty clothes, a pack of cigarettes, a vape, a cigarette lighter, and trash. Not impressed. We checked out earlier than expected and paid several hundred dollars more. Our belongings and clothing smell like cigarettes.Update:They did refund our night after I showed them photos. The front desk was kind.

Check in: The lady is sometimes friendly once you can get her to the desk, and will use whatever card is on the computer, no verification. (This opens people up to ID theft) You WILL have to ring the bell, as in staff do not pay attention to the desk. No amenity on check in (Diamond Elite member).Stay: Dishes were in the dishwasher, so, if you see empty cabinets, that is why. The toilet clogged the first morning. I asked for a plunger, they actually left a dirty used plunger at the door of my room to use.Check out: My room was reserved from April 1-3, and I extended a day too the 4th due to a delay at the customer. I had to check out on the 3rd due to business needs. I attempted to check out at 1130 AM, and was refused a receipt. I was told they would E-mail it to me after they check me out on the the 4th. I said "but I am checking out now" The guy said no, you will be checked out tomorrow. This creates an issue ethically, in that my receipt also shows that I checked out on the 4th, but I actually checked out on the 3rd. It is also an issue for my time accounting with my company, in that I was physically 4 hours away on the 4th, and that will have to be verified since it is my word against the hotel. The keys were handed in on the 3rd. The hotel states that they do not allow late check outs. Some hotels will push to charge for the extra night if you leave early, but few actually do, in consideration for lost business vs a one night charge. The ones that do, will check you out, provide a receipt, and add the night to your bill, and not care if the guest returns or not. In this case, this was an extra night that I extended, but was told I needed to go to another customer. The hotel felt the need to charge for the extra night, and gouge to get the extra $100, at an exchange for all future stays. (100% guarantee that I will be staying in the area on a regular basis, and have over the last 3 years.) There are better, and more honest hotels in the area. I have sent an email to my company regarding the issue, hopefully to keep others from staying here due to business needs. I also can not, in good conscience, recommend others stay here either. Hotels that gouge, and lie about your check out, show a lack of ethics, and make you wonder what else they are not being honest about. They don't need the guests anyway. They are already charging for empty rooms. If IHG condones this behavior, then I will go to the other brands more often, and only stay at an IHG property if no others are available. I recommend others do the same. Money is tight right now, and this hotel is priced for Middle Class. Extra charges for services not received, and refusal of a receipt on actual check out should be a serious concern for both the authorities, and the traveler. Arbitrary check out not conducted by the guest, but dictated by the hotel is an issue. The grill area is not in good repair, or clean. Have not felt comfortable back there the last few stays. If you read the reviews it seems business travelers get the extra night charges. NEVER in 13 years of travel has a hotel refused a receipt, and checked me out the day after I left. That would be lying, to the guest, and to my company. I have an email drafted for the BBB, and a couple other parties that should look into this business practice.Since myself, and others stay in hotels 4-5 nights a week, the loss in revenue alone is in the thousands vs a one night charge. Across the IHG properties that I will avoid now... DO the math, average $150 a night for the North East. That is just MY business, let alone others. You should be creating value, and attracting customers, not providing solid reasons why business travelers should not use you. I actually think I will send a letter to some people that can review the laws regarding refusing check out, and receipt upon guest check out. If you want to add the charge, fine, you got an extra night's money. To change the checkout time, and date from the actual one....Safety: Low lighting, questionable people at the rear, and side of the hotel at times. Smoke near the front door, it is safe there.

The room was great, a workspace for spreading out, the kitchen was stocked with pots, pans, plates, silverware. I was amazed that they offer free laundry facilities for guests, an array of exercise equipment in a gym, a cupboard with reasonably priced food. The staff was friendly and helpful at all hours. I would definitely stay here again!!

Great place to stay. Easy to get to. Close to restaurants a m d shopping. Easy check in on the app. Showed up gave my name and they handed me my keys. Took all of 2 seconds. Rooms are nice. Free washers and dryers for hotel guests. Had a wide selection of DVD movies and board games available at front desk for your use. Also had other thongs available for your use at the front desk, like jumper cables, umbrellas, footballs, jump ropes, BBQ supplies. If you need it they probably had it available. There was also a outdoor pavilion with fire pit. Is also dog friendly.

First, the room was clean! No issues with cleanliness. The water in the shower runs cold after 10 min and the kitchenette has no hot water at all. There were no utensils to use in the kitchen either, 1 spoon and some knives. The phone didn t work to contact the front desk. There is no pool and no breakfast. So I would say it s just ok.

DO NOT stay at this hotel! Double charged for a one night stay, still not resolved after over a month.I stayed for one night. At checkout I asked for a receipt, I was told one could not be provided and it would be emailed. I waited for an email, but couldn't wait all day so had to leave without one. I never received an email with a receipt.I finally received a receipt in my IHG app, and it showed that I stayed two nights, when I did not. They went ahead and charged me for two nights. I believe them not providing a receipt at checkout was intentional so they could try to charge me for two nights without me noticing.I chased them for a month to finally fix this charge. They made false promises the entire time. I had to involve IHG corporate to get them to act, and they finally issued a refund...Until a few days later when they charged my card AGAIN. No authorization, no permission, they just kept my card on file from when I stayed and charged it again.DO NOT STAY HERE.

We booked the stay on Chase Travel and are EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED with the service provided. We did not get the type of room we reserved, which is fine, but when we entered the room it was messy and dirty. There was leftover food in the fridge, including spoiled cabbage, cheese, pickle, and some other gross stuff, which was giving off a weird smell. We also found a used cotton stick and a piece of draft paper in the trash can and on the ground some unknown food debris and torn candy paper. We had to ask the front desk to clean up the fridge while we were in there, and the cleaning lady was deliberately ignoring my requests. I had to repeat myself three times loudly before she answered my call and cleaned up the trash bin. The shampoo and shower gel bottle was completely empty so we had to shower without, and we even found bugs on both the carpet and the window. The only utensil we found in the room is a rusty can opener. I cannot believe this is the level of cleanness IHG is providing during pandemic times. Is this the "high levels of cleanliness" IHG is committed to? It was the first day of our trip and the complete chaos totally ruined our holidays. I believe anyone who has experienced similar situations would behave the same.

I'm staying until the end of the week but I'm completely confident and wanted to write a review right away. I travel a lot for work and this hotel is everything I always look for. Perfect size kitchenette, great work desk and the kindest staff! The grocery store across the street is beyond convenient and I honestly have nothing negative to say.

There were roaches and the room was hardly cleaned when we came. Pet friendly place was said but they told us to put our dog in a kennel. Very dissapointed on the stay. Half way through if your under 18 you cant do laundry. Our dog wasnt allowed in lobby and they told us to get him a muzzle. they said they cleaned it every seven days but never gave us sheets after asking several times. This stay was a very poor one.

Friendly staff. The suite was very clean. The bed was comfortable and there was a variety of pillows. The staff had a few decorations up for Halloween. The elevator was the slowest I've ever experienced in my life. We were on the second floor, hit the button, waited, looked for the stairs, found them and went down before the elevator made it up from the lobby. I would stay here again, for a quick overnight or for an extended stay.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Very nice rooms, cozy, clean, soft sheets and comfortable beds. The kitchen in the room had everything we needed to make our stay pleasant. I liked the fitness room . Staff is friendly and helpful. Definitely is a hotel of our choice next time we are in the area

Getting to the hotel was quite easy, since it was just off the highway and was visible from the off-ramp. The room was excellent, one of the nicest I have stayed in and with excellent amenities like a fridge, dishwasher, etc. This would be an ideal location for an extended stay. The gym was also quite nice, though the motion-activated light went off while I was still woeking out in there. The issue with the light and lack of a continental breakfast are my only complaints. Otherwise, this stay was well worth it!

I booked this hotel for tonight months ago through a third party app, which had incorrect information about having a rollaway bed included in the room. I called this week to reconfirm that detail and the woman whom I spoke with started to say "It's only $25", which was very unprofessional. I let it go because she ended up honoring the included bed since it was a mistake on the website's end. Then I received a voicemail today with the manager stating that all the rollaway beds were taken by those who already checked in. Again, I let it go and called back to ask what can be done to accommodate a 5th person. He said he couldn't give me a free room (which wasn't what I asked for) and that he wasn't able to keep the rollaway bed that was honored for me because it was free. Not even another room offer.I was extremely turned off at this point especially since we were already 40 minutes away. It was clear that the staff wasn't going to take the extra steps to do their job properly. Instead they were fixated on their assumption that I wanted free stuff and not on the fact that the hotel should have double checked their postings or with making sure we all had a place to stay so I had to call the third party app.The app ended up giving me an unpenalized cancellation after speaking with the hotel but my family and I are now driving home instead of staying in town for the weekend after frantically changing our plans last minute. It was the lesser of 2 inconveniences but at least we wouldn't be giving service to a place like this.

The staff are so pleasant, it made our stay almost like staying with family! Our room was nice, they, and CLEAN! The bed... Oh the BED!!! Was almost like sleeping on a cloud! The pillows were just right - soft, but supportive!!! I felt like Goldie Locks in the little Bear's bed. Thank you Candlewood Suites for such a pleasant stay after my husband's eye surgery!!!

We were very happy with our stay! My husband had just recently had a traumatic injury and had to use a walker, and they accommodated us on the first floor to help him out as much as possible. The desk staff were very friendly. And the room was perfect! No complaints at all, and we will definitely stay again!

It had bugs. Cute on the outside. Large room. But l saw 3 bugs. Not roaches or ants. Some type of beetle. Best deal in the area though so bring a little spray and your own sheets as the linen was not ironed the way they do at 3 stat hotels. If the place was infested l would tell u. Truth is, for $70 a night l can deal with a few unwanted pests

Stayed on Christmas night, got adjoining rooms. Kitchens are great, would be nice for a long term stay. Price was good. I did run out of hair conditioner in the shower though that was a bummer. They have the big bottles, I just assumed they were full.
