Took my truck there and worst experience I've ever had. Wouldn't work with my warranty company at all. Also tried to make me come out of pocket for stuff my warranty would cover if he used their parts then got mad when I said about taking somewhere else. Will not come back here. Would definitely recommend anyone else

I came to Cape Horn with my 2017 Sportage, gave them the full explanation and details, and let them have at it. They were able to figure out that it was a mechanical issue with my transmission and got me back up and running in 3 days though they estimated 5. Worth every penny I spent.

Wouldn't trust anyone else with my truck. These guys know their stuff and don't overcharge. They are reasonably priced and knowledgeable, and their work is great

After driving more than forty years, in three cities, and never needing anything more than routine maintenance from Pep Boys, I moved from West York to East York. When I finally needed more than routine maintenance, I had year s long journey to find a skilled auto mechanic. The service manager at the tire shop I had been using did not follow up numerous times on parts requests, two independent mechanics didn t replace a part correctly the first time, one dealer ghosted my car, the other dealer charged $1400 to replace a belt and a pump on 13 year old Ford. Then I found Cape Horn Transmissions. When I met the owner at 8am, he was patiently listening to a customer over the phone complain about dealer work done 12 years prior. He did the work correctly, and he does not over charge. To find those three qualities in one shop is very rare. You would be wise to trust this shop with your vehicle. We now take our five vehicles only here.

Best mechanic in york County area. Found every problem on my truck on days time. I took to another shop for 10 months straight saying they fixed it and drive 12 miles boom down again. Great prices. Straight forward, honest and best mechanics in york County hands down! Recommend anyone has problems go here it's worth it. Wont give you run around like most other places.

Brought my wife s vehicle after being told there was a seal leak on the transmission from a major name oil change company. Cape Horn determined the last oil change included adding additional fluids to the transmission causing the oil to leak out. Instead of a $1,500-$2,500 repair job, was only charged $125 to correct the issue. Great mechanics and service.Service: Transmission

Had my car looked at because I was having transmission problems they said they couldn t do anything let it sit there for a little while I bought a new transmission and found another shop to replace it they didn t help out at all when I got my car towed back 3 tires have no air in them now I have to get a new transmission and 3 new tiresServices: Transmission, Auto engine diagnosticServices: Transmission, Auto engine diagnostic

Our teenager decided his 1980's family car was a race car. He made some "mods" that weren't going to pass inspection or keep it on the road. I took it to Mike because of the good reviews and I wasn't disappointed. He and his staff were understanding and awesome! I would recommend them for any transmission and exhaust needs!

These guys ROCK! I absolutely LOVE my car and thought I might have to sell her, but Mike and Joe got her purrrrrring like a sexy kitten again! Mike was amazing and kept pulling me into the garage and showing me exactly what was wrong. As a woman who doesn't trust a lot of mechanics, this made me feel so secure that I wasn't being taken. While it was a considerable cost and a big repair, I felt the prices were reasonable and was absolutely AMAZED when my bill came in $2 under the estimate. Joe even drained out the water in my door and blew out the leaves... something above and beyond that was desperately needed! I wouldn't go anywhere else.Service: Transmission

My daughter was quoted $400 elsewhere. We decided to go here instead and he charged her $0 because nothing was wrong. Now that's nearly unheard of! Owner also has a great personality.

This guy is great. Gave an honest opinion about my transmission problem. Gave me quotes for options, but recommend moving on to another vehicle instead of investing more into my old jeep.
