Warning: Rates have gone up and they will itemize bill. Ask for cost before dropping off vehicle and make sure they agree to it. Otherwise, you might leave with a feeling that you were overcharged and/or ripped off.Tommy is no longer around (nicest guy ever). No longer best value in town. Can t guarantee great customer service. Not clean place. I no longer trust them. Place is not the same with Tommy gone. Be careful. God bless!

Tommy's son is running the place now and I can't feel a difference. Still the only place in town I trust with my car.

These guys are cool and honest. Won't try to scam you or break the bank. Not that good at communication but you can't have everything. I would give them 5 stars because they're good guys but some of the service aspects are missing

0 out of 5 stars. This place is terrible. Took my car in to get my clutch and Emergency break replaced and the car came back with even more problems. My clutch was replaced by the E-Break wasn t. Never had a problem with the speedometer in the 15 years we had the car, all of a sudden after it went in to get the things replaced, it s broken. Doesn t work at all even after they tried to fix it. Car came back to us filthy as well. Still paid full price for this half done job. Don t waste your money here!!!!

ZERO stars if I could give this place . Only took it here because I saw how many good reviews it had and my main mechanic was already booked. They put parts in my car the completely wrong way ! Guy told me they test drove the car and it s ready to have me back on the road when I got there my tire was flat. Would not recommend at all!

These guys are amazing mechanics and honest they're expertise is impressive the only ones I trust with my vehicles, I don't write reviews but this one is worth it you won't get better guys to work on your car very fair great prices and trustworthy you couldn't ask for better

I have been going here for over 10 years. Tommy has always been very reasonable and accurate. He will tell you exactly what needs to be fixed and what doesn't. He isn't in it to get over on people. He does a very good job for a very good price. If you want a mechanic you can trust. Someone that's not going to try to get over on you. Give Tommy a call!!!

I and all my friends have been using this business for nearly 20 years. I think one of Tom's expressions sums it up in a nutshell, "We are here to minimize your pain." ALWAYS the best service at the most reasonable price.

I wouldn't recommend them to nobody cause I asked them to do stuff and it's half fast and when I got my car back I had flat tires and than I had water in my brake fluid canaster and didn't do and oil change or wheel alignment so I'm just fed up with stupidity and people taking advantage of people that are on low income and they can't even help the people out or cut them breaks on their billServices: Tires, Wheel alignment, Brakes, Oil change

I've been taking my cars here since I've started driving (I don't want to age myself lol) and these guys are great. My favorite thing about his place (other than Tommy being such a good dude) is that, short of giving them a disaster to deal with, my cars have been done and ready to go the same day! Also, they don't overcharge or try to talk you into unnecessary repairs you didn't ask for...HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

These guys are professional and fast You can t beat the prices and quality of service. I got an CV shaft installed and my brakes checked...excellent service with great attitudes!! I highly recommend them ***Please don t confuse A&C Auto with A.C Auto !!***A.C. Auto is what you re looking for...those other guys A&C auto are a rip off on Lancaster Pike across from Walgreens. Your money will be well spent here with A.C Auto, big TRUST on that!!Services: Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance, Brakes

Tom is a great dude and runs an honest business. I called to get an inspection and told him I need to get it done soon because my inspection already expired, (procrastinated) he said he will try to get my car done by the next day if I drop it off Tomorrow. I got a call that same day letting me know I can pick up my car before they close at 7pm . Also I passed inspection and my bill was only 66 bucks state inspection and emissions. This is not the type of shop though that you sit in the waiting room to get your car fixed, its the kind you drop your vehicle off and pick it back up.

They've been my garage for almost 20yrs. The best and most reliable, honest and dedicated mechanics I've ever dealt with. Have sent family and friends to them that's how much I trust them. Never have I ever had a problem with this company. If your looking for fair pricing, honest workers, and really the nicest owner of a company in all of Reading, Pa, go to AC Auto. You won't regret it.

I have then going to them for 19 years now they are absolutely amazing. Down-to-earth and extremely honest I have half of my friends and family using them for their auto services as well.One thing I'll never forget is how my father being that he's 82 years old what is car in to get repaired and they made sure he got home and actually drove him to his house including picking him back up. They are family oriented and I cannot thank them enough for all the years and putting up with me lol...Tommygun you guys are the Best

I love these guys especially Tommy. They are the best prices in town. I dony believe anyone here should have ever had a bad experience with them. They did my shift cable and my header on my ford truck for 350 when everyone else wanted to charge over $600 or didnt wanna do it. Then 2 weeks later i took it back for the to do my heater core and my 3 plugs which 2 were broken and it was another good price. I trust these guys so much that i now had my 85 mustang towed to them sunday. And they been trying to fix my problem ever since and also keep calling me to touch base on whats going on. They are the best guys to deal with and the only shop i would trust taken my baby too.Services: Carburetor cleaning, Electrical repair, Exhaust, General repairs & maintenance, Electrical, Auto engine tuning, Engine repair

Simple minded white man made my window worse before he could make it better honestly I wouldn t even leave 1 star it would b 0 told me over the phone he would be able to put my window up and when I get there he only puts it down said he was unable to do it when I m even telling him exactly how the last person did it for me (unfortunately they are unavailable or I would ve just went to them) and instead of listening to what I had to say just ignorantly says well why did you put it back down again in the first place like accidents don t happen DIDNT feel valued as a customer at all felt like nothing but my time was wasted and I was treated poorly when all he did was make it worse I don t ever recommend going thereService: Auto power window repair

Great experience, mechanics are very knowledgeable and nice. I had to have my radiator repaired and had my car back the next day. Very fair prices and trustworthy. Highly recommend this repair shop for all your auto needs.

Been taking my car for years to Ac Auto and so does my family. I loved there work so much I became a mechanic for Tommy and been working well over a year with the guys and is as good as a boss as he is a mechanic. Very busy all the time because inexpensive and very reliable. Tommy the owner at Ac Auto is a straight up guy and is never out to take people over , he works hard to keep his customers happy and employees.

Been getting my cars fixed here for years and 98% of the time it's affordable and they've done quality work. When I haven't been satisfied Tom makes sure to fix it.

My vehicle shut down in front of my house, I called my insurance for towing services on September 29, 2016. We towed it to AC Auto on 1411 N 5th street Reading, PA 19601. After not hearing from him I called serval times for an update on my vehicle, I spoke to every single staff and no one knew about my vehicle and I was instructed to only speak to the boss Tom. After serval attempts to receive an update I went to this location and spoke to him and he kept telling me "all it needs is a battery, ill have it ready soon" I kept accepting his apology and I gave him another week possibly 2. I still did not hear from him. I went back to give him another contact number incase he lost the other one. I still did not hear from him. I gave him another month to see if he calls and nothing. I called again and he stated he brought the car down and he's working on it. I called the following week and he continued to tell me the same. After giving him so many chances I finally reached out to my insurance to send over a towing to pick up my vehicle and drop it off at another location for fixing. When the towing gets there the boss tells me that he cannot find my car nor my keys. and stated that someone must of stoled it out of his mechanic shop. Without giving me any further information he just walked away from me leaving me speechless. I followed up by calling the police and making a report. He left me without a car that I've been paying insurance on while it was at his shop, I paid a lot of money for this car, and to have no explanation on the where about of my car is very frustrating. His customer service is very poor.

Absolutely the most rudest people I have ever had the misfortune to talk to on the phone. Just about hung up when we called to enquire about getting work done.Best thing.....DO NOT USE THEM.! you will be sorry.!

been taking my autos to AC auto for decades with out problems . Straight up service with no BS . I respect honesty , you might not always want to here it or want to accept it,but you will get it from this professional garage.I know from 20 year of service they always stand behind their work or I would not have been trusting them this long
