After going to another shop and being told my car needed a multi thousand dollar job, I took my car down to Mikes despite it being a 40 minute drive from my house. There were plenty of opportunities to up sell and rack up the cost on a diagnostic job like this, but this shop never did that, and the repair was a smaller fix that was 1/4 of the price that another place told me. They were very honest and straightforward, and had great communication throughout the whole job. I wouldn't hesitate to take my cars here again.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

Excellent service, as always! We ve been taking our cars to Mike for years and try not to take them anywhere else. We trust him and his work immensely and he s never fabricated issues like many dealers do. Mike's team took us on short notice for a vehicle we were attempting to fix and sell. They told us it'd be a couple of weeks since they were backed up, but honestly they looked at the vehicle the very next day. They were transparent on every repair needed, and waited for confirmation on everything that was ultimately performed. They listened to our needs, did it within a very fair price, and had us done within a week! They were honest. I'll deal with them again. Thanks to our neighbor for the recommendation to you guys and thank you for serving the Quakertown area.

I m so grateful to have found a trustworthy shop. My husband and I have been using Mike s for a few years now and it s been great. I come from a family of mechanics and have heard some horror stories as well as experiencing some of my own at other shops so finding a good one is such a relief. Dropping my crv off tonight for inspection actually!

Best experience I've had dealing with shops. I had recently bought a vehicle from a shoddy dealership known as Trend auto and vehicle ended up needed the engine replaced due to work they did on the car a few months after purchase, so this time I did my research and brought to car Mike's knowing they have great reviews, but my schedule conflicted with being able to do anything in person without taking days off, but don't worry they have you covered! I dropped the vehicle off, they kept me updated and took care of everything, replaced the engine and had me back in my car with a smile on my face as they were very friendly and helpful. The car now feels even better than when I first bought the vehicle!Service: Engine repair

people here are very nice, the only thing i think could be better is the communication with the customer. emailed multiple times trying to figure out what time my appointment was and never heard from them, if i wouldve known they couldnt get my car in till later i wouldve dropped my car off later rather than the morning, other things happened too revolving around communication where a heads up wouldve prevented the problems, other than that they are good at what they do!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Vehicle safety inspection

I've always brought my car to dealers thinking the best mechanics would be working on my vehicle. Until one day I noticed that the service I brought my car in for was never completed, although the bill exceeded $1500.00. I've try to fight it but I was no expert and was at the liberty of the dealer. Asked around for a local honest mechanic and was recommended to Mike. I've never been happier. I now bring all my family's car there for his unbeatable customer service and of course his honesty... I recently suffered a major personal tragedy in my life. The person I relied on for help with my cars passed away. At this same time I had to get my car inspected so I asked for recommendations and took my car to Mike's. I could not have had a better experience. The entire staff was so compassionate, understanding, and generous with their time with me. I was amazed at this major demonstration of human kindness, ethics, honesty and character. I am now a customer for life. The customer service, and the extra personal touch with explanations and kindness is a rarity in this world. This entire organization is truly amazing and a great place to go if your cars need service.Services: Wheel alignment, Oil change

Very impressed with their support and customer service - Mike is a professional and actually looks out for customers who do not know much about cars (like me!). I normally feel taken advantage of at repair shops, but the team couldn't have been more helpful and thorough. Highly Recommend!

After moving to this area, I was looking for a reliable repair shop for my ancient Lexus. I definitely found it here. Mike s is THE BEST. This shop was recommended by a neighbor and I can see why. Mike is one of the most genuine and honest mechanics out there. Good mechanics are hard to find but I can honestly say I finally found a garage I can take my vehicle to for any issues that may arise. He s fast, he s honest, and my truck is running better than ever.

Originally I thought that finally Auto repairs by Mike was going to be different than most other mechanics I've used through the years. I had my in-laws and both grown children brings the repairs to Mike. But then my wife's car had a problem with her engine. He gave me an initial price of $3000. I signed off on Mike's to do the repairs and that's when my problems began. They then called two different times stating they ran into additional problems. I thought he was honest and trustworthy. But unfortunately as it turns out that's not the case. By the time the work was completed the bill inflated by a thousand dollars. I only had enough for the original bill which was the $3000. I explained it was going to take me 30 days to come up with the additional $1000. I called Mike and explained I would pay the $3000 right away and I needed 30 days to come up with the other thousand dollars. I offered to bring in my title to my 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee that I own outright and he could hold title for the 30 days I needed. He said absolutely not. I need the entire payment of $4000 or you don't get the car back. I said well it will take me a month to save up the additional $1000. He said fine but understand I'm going to charge you $10.00 a day storage. Ok. I came up with the required funds and paid him in full. Now a month later my car is doing same exact things it was doing prior to Mike doing his $4000 in repairs. I just called him up and tried to make appointment to bring car back in. I clearly explained that I'm not in any way a "car guy" I have no idea if it's related to the repairs he made. I explained to his technician that's something he will determine as I don't have anyway of knowing. I ended the call and someone different from his shop called me and said Mike saw the order written up for your repair and he told me to call you and tell you he has no interest in repairing your car. Again I explained that although Mike warranties his work I have no way of knowing if it would be covered under warranty. That being said the woman who called me said again Mike has no interest in looking at your car. Well isn't that just terrific? This guy claims to have an excellent reputation. If anyone looks at my history of reviewing different business's you will see I'm extremely fair. However when the situation calls for it, I will review them exactly the way they deserve to be reviewed! If I could give Mike a rating lower than 1 I would do that. Giving him one star is one star too many! Be wary of this mechanic!

I went in looking for a second opinion on brakes after being told by Pep Boys that I need brakes and rotors all the way around and that it would cost me almost $1k. They told me my car was fine and that I did not need my brakes replaced. They could have totally gone with what Pep Boys said, and told me I needed brakes all the way around but they didn't. I appreciate their honesty, and will be going back to them when my car does need new brakes.Service: Brakes

Great work from Auto Repair by Mike! Staff (Sarah) is very friendly, professional and accommodating to the needs of the customer.I ve used Mike a few times now, and even referred a customer there, in which they were very appreciative. Mike is the most honest and fair mechanic we have ever used. He is a straight shooter who won't try to sell you on something your vehicle doesn't need like a lot of the dealership shops. He's incredibly easy to work with and has always been really honest with us. Mike and his team do great, reliable work and always follow through!

So, I took my GX460 here at the recommendation of my neighbor. I had taken my vehicle elsewhere for a noise, and was told my alignment was out and both front tires were toe'd in, which was causing the noise. Seemed a bit odd to me, but I did only have the vehicle for a few months and knew prev owner wasn't the best at upkeep. So after the fix, the noise was still there.I had a feeling it was a wheel bearing. So I took it to Mike's and they had a mechanic ride with me for the noise and confirmed it was a wheel bearing.It took over a week to be repaired, which I had a feeling it would as Toyota 8.2 axles require special tools to remove and replace wheel bearings. Things got delayed by waiting on the tools to perform the job as it is a tool specific to this vehicle and specific to the repair on this vehicle so it isn't something most mechanic shops have on hand, but the entire time I was given a free courtesy vehicle to get to work in. Not only that, but almost daily I got update emails on where everything was at.I'm one of those people that fret over details, so seeing a mechanic shop go as far as they did with the loaner and communication, it really made me feel like they cared. The price for the job was pretty solid and I don't feel like I was overcharged.Overall a solid experience.

I couldn't thank the people and this shop more. I recently had my car here for the first time and I am extremely pleased. Before finding them I had been taking my car to a Jeep dealership for work. Every time it went in, it came back with more issues than before. Recently I had it and the Jeep dealership and they said I needed a costly repair. I decided to try Mike's and I am so glad I did. They were extremely friendly, accommodating and most importantly they were honest. It's nice to get my car back fixed rather than with more issues than before.

We just moved to Quakertown and needed a new place to take our vehicles for service. A co-worker highly recommended Auto Repair by Mike so I called in for quotes on rear brakes and rotors for a Dodge Caravan and front brakes on a Mazda. Mike's prices were lower than the dealerships' estimates, I had no trouble getting a convenient appointment and the work on my vehicle was done on time as promised. I will be back!

My family and I were returning home from a getaway to Philadelphia when we got a flat tire on 476. We were able to limp it to the Quakertown exit on the spare, where we found Auto Repair by Mike- and I m so grateful we did! The good people at Mike s made room in the schedule on New Year s Eve and got us back on the road. They could have used our predicament to their advantage, but they didn t. In fact, I think I got a better deal on tires than I would have at home- and they did it promptly and with a smile. THANK YOU, Auto repair by Mike!!! Happy New Year!!
