This yard has friendly and helpful employees, quite rare in the business of scrap. Their prices aren't always the highest around but they make up for it by not treating you like trash if you're not a seasoned scrapper

Lots of places around here take scrap, but few do it as quickly, friendly and pay fair prices like Reliable. To be able to get in and out as quickly as possible is essential to me, and the prices paid for everything are always top for copper and any other metal. Highly recommend to anyone looking to get rid of anything.

Our first experience taking things to scrap metal and we were very pleased and impressed. There was a guy at the entrance who immediately addressed us as we came in. He didn't assume we knew what to do and was extremely polite about how the process worked and what to do. Even the person unloading our stuff was extremely friendly and helpful. We had a great experience and were even impressed with how much money we walked away with. Stuff that we would have had to PAY our trash company to dispose of for us. Would definitely recommend!

This is the best scrap yard in town!! Very friendly staff, clean and organized facility.It's a smooth operation they have going on. They pay top dollar for your scrap can't wait to go back again. Thank you Reliable family

This was the first time I was scrapping metal in this area, and was very happy with the outcome. Everybody working there was incredibly helpful with the process. I called before I went and was given clear cut directions and instructions on what to do once I got there. I will definitely be doing my scrapping with this place from here on out!

As far as I'm concerned, there's only 1 scrap yard in Pottstown! Reliable not only pays you an honest dollar for your scrap but their staff is courteous and friendly. I would like to show my gratitude to the person responsible for introducing me to Reliable, thank you to the scale person at my previous scrap yard! Without your ignorant attitude, I would have never found this great company to do business with!

Do not bring your scrap metals to this place. Educate yourself on how to separate metals then take your business elsewhere. I know how to separate and they picked everything apart so they can pay less. For example, they will try to get as much #1 copper in the #2 bin, as much brass in the "dirty" brass bin, etc. I have called them out and the manager apologizes and admits "it was just a mistake". Any other scrap yard would be a better choice. If you read most of the higher rated reviews, they're complimenting on how clean and friendly it is there. That's fine, but I would rather not be ripped off.

I was Just there for the first time. They had a decent price for copper and brass, pretty quick service and the ladies at the counter are very pleasant. The big problem I had was if there s even a speck of corrosion on your copper pipe they want to try to give you #2 copper prices for it. Also the Fossetts and handles on your shower and sink valves they did not want to give me brass price. They called it dirty brass. Instead of getting $1.74 a pound for it they gave me $.60. I m pretty sure the handles are brass not Aluminum like the kid said. I m just speaking from experience in all the yards I ve ever went to in the Philadelphia never had that problem

Called to ask about dropping off a car and they said they have a flat rate of $250 for complete cars. Later that day, We dropped it off, unloaded it. As we were leaving, they gave us a check for $59 saying they do it by weight. Got in an argument with the manager and they told us to leave. It was too late to load the car back up so we left it and took the $59. Very disappointed and will never bring anything to these guys again.

Remember people this is a scrap yard. You usually drop scrap metal off here to get money.Been coming here for years and have never had a problem with staff.

I've been to a number of scrap yards across a few states and this is hands down the most courteous, polite and helpful scrap staff I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with. Max is a stellar gal!

First time recycling metal. Steel shed was destroyed by the wind storm. The place was well run and every one was friendly and helpful. Very convenient and easy.
