If you have car problems... just go here. I recently moved back to Pittsburgh and started having some confusing issues with my car starting. I found Vince's based solely on reviews and I'm so thankful for their help! They pinpointed the problems and fixed my car in such a timely manner. But honestly, even more than the service, they are so fair with pricing and kind when explaining what is wrong and how to fix it. It's such a relief to have an honest go-to. Thank you guys again, so much!

My car had an unexpected brake disc failure so I got it towed here based on the reviews. Vince was able to look at it sooner than he had originally estimated and went above and beyond to make sure my other brakes weren't at risk of the same failure. Everyone I interacted with was polite and kind and the cost to fix ended up being very reasonable. Couldn't be happier.

Great, fast service. Went in the day before thanksgiving for an issue and Vinny and everyone else I talked to were very kind, patient, and knowledgable. I was in and out in no time!

As far as auto service and repair in Pittsburgh is concerned, this place is in a league of its own (I've been to too many). Vince is so informative, engaging, and helped me make my own informed decision about my engine repair/the long-term health of my car. You can literally tell he has a passion for the work he does and cares about human beings. I'm very satisfied with the price and turnaround time, and can gladly say I found my new mechanic (and my last one).Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair

I got a flat tire and had it towed to Vince's. He saw me right away, took a look at the tire and told me a nail had gone through. It took him all of 10 minutes to fix it! Levi and the crew were great! I initially emailed Levi to obtain a quote on services and he was quick to respond. The services that I was looking to have done were recommended to me by my dealership service department. I wanted to get a second opinion and Levi was honest and said that the work the dealership told me to have done was unnecessary. I was so happy that I wasn t being taken advantage of, I will definitely go back to Vince s Automotive for any work that I need done on my car.

Best auto shop I've been to. I've been taking my Subaru here for years and they're always helpful, knowledgeable, and reasonably priced. They take the time to explain the repairs and why I need them and have never tried to push something I don't need. All the work they've done has held up well on my old car.

I found Vince through good reviews and so glad I did! He is fast, friendly, professional, and an honest man. He walks you through everything he is doing/has done, shows you where your money is going right down to the penny. He sat with me and showed me every optional route and chose the safest and cheapest one for me as my van needed *a lot* of work. Never found a better garage. Vince and his crew are the most honest and trustworthy people I've ever had work on my vehicles. Their prices cant be beat and the service is top notch! They keep my 2011 Silverado and my wife's 2013 Grand Caravan in great condition.

Took my car in to have my back brakes replaced, all went well, everyone was friendly. I got my car back and my emergency brake no longer worked correctly. It was making a horrific sound after engaged and a flashing non-operating light while driving. I called them and they said bring it back no problems. Probably just needed re-calibrated. I brought my car back in and still no fix.Vinny mentioned that he would take care of replacing my emergency brake, since he was the last one to work on it, he felt responsible which I thought was very kind of him. He knew I had small kids and was worried and wanted everything to be safe. Once again great to hear. He just needed some time to get the part. He would call me when he was ready.After 3 attempts made by me to get in contact and him still waiting on part and no call back, I am left with an "unsafe" vehicle and a non-operating emergency brake. Not happy.

I needed timing belt/water pump maintenance done on my car ('99 Honda Accord). I called around the area and received 4 separate price quotes. Vince's was very friendly, gave me a fair quote and was able to bring me in for the work quickly. My car is running really well after the maintenance and after this good first experience, I will certainly return to Vince's for future needs.

This was by far the Best and most honest service I have ever received. I was in the market for a car but prior to purchasing I noticed some potential engine issues. I called and Vince gave me same day diagnostic and bumper to bumper inspection for a Fraction of the price that lesser shops quoted me. Needless to say the car didn't pass the tests and I dodged a lemon as well as repairs I'd never be able to afford. I can't thank him enough!!!!

I have had positive experiences with maintenance of all of my vehicles at Vince's. Straightforward, honest and trustworthy mechanics. Caleb is very knowledgeable about diesel engines. And Eli has done a great job with maintenance of our gas engines. My husband and I both highly recommend them!!

Definitely the best customer service I've ever experienced at a mechanic. When my car needed repairs to pass inspection, they actually offered to show the old, beaten-up parts they'd removed from the car and explain what the problem was. It was an expensive repair, but I left feeling certain that it was necessary because of what they'd shown and explained to me. They even wrote "thanks! :)" on the oil change sticker. All-around wonderful service from the check-in desk to the moment I pulled out.

This was my first experience at Vince's but it will certainly not be my last! From the moment I stepped in the door the whole staff was warm and welcoming. I dropped off my vehicle for an inspection but it ended up needing some work. Vince personally called me at every step through the repair process to discuss exactly what the issues were and to seek my approval before adding to the bill. I had a few hiccups along the way due to parts in stock but again Vince called me personally to apologize and even knocked off some labor cost to make up for it. When I finally arrived to pick up my vehicle his whole staff welcomed me and then Vince actually had all of the malfunctioning parts that he replaced waiting in a pile for me to personally inspect as he went over them and explained to me why they needed replaced. I have never had such a high level of involvement in my car's repair from a repair shop. At every point Vince made me feel like everything he was doing was for my benefit and not his own. I hope to return to him for everything I may ever need done on my vehicle and wish him the absolute best for his business going forward. Do yourself a favor and head to Vince's!!!

Beware, they will find all kinds of BS "work" that your vehicle needs regardless of what shape it's in. Totall ripoff, stay away. I took it elsewhere and it passed with no problems. Better than the $800.00 "estimate" I got at Vince'sAugust 18 2016I want to apologize to Vince, Caleb, and crew. Apparently it was a bad employee, not the business. My prior experiences with them were great! I WILL go back now that I know that. Sorry guys!

I took my car for repairs recently. After I had gotten my car back, I was still experiencing an issue related to the problem. They were very helpful and professional when I contacted them again to check the issue and offered to check into the problem again at no charge. I was in contact with Caleb, who was both helpful and professional. Instead of trying to make repairs to my car that may not have resolved the issue, he insisted that they didn't like to conduct business that way and not just do random repairs in the hopes that is may fix the problem, which was much appreciated. After they checked my car again, I haven't had any troubles. I would recommend this business to anyone looking for a trustworthy mechanic.

Vince and his son are honest folks who will treat you right. I lived in Pittsburgh for 5 years and used Vince for every little check and service I ever needed. On the week of my sister's wedding, my breaks started to go. I took my car in on a Monday, needing it done by Friday morning for me to make rehearsal in Michigan. Vince had it all done for me by Thursday afternoon and I couldn't have been more thankful. These folks are awesome.

The best experience I've ever had at an auto shop, by far. They were professional, extremely quick (had a front axel and front brakes fully replaced within 24 hours of calling!) and very friendly. Honest and experienced mechanics- I'm impressed and highly recommend their services. 6/5 stars.

These guys are the best! Vinny and the crew are personable, efficient, and hard working. There's never any hidden costs, the price is very fair, and any one of the guys will explain the work they're doing and advise you as to what needs to be done. They're like car doctors. The only thing that could possibly be taken as a negative is the location/appearance. Their shop is small and right off a heavily trafficked portion of Liberty Avenue. You would definitely pass it by and miss out on the greatest mechanic experience ever!

I used Vince's for the first time today and I couldn't be happier. I had taken my car to the dealer recently for some routine maintenance and was told another shop had cross-threaded the oil pan with an after-market plug which was causing a small leak. They told me they would have to replace the whole oil pan to the tune of $400+. That seemed like a drastic solution to me, so I grabbed my car and start looking for a local shop that might be willing to at least try rethreading the pan. I tried Vince's shop because of the great reviews and he and his crew didn't disappoint. They were honest about the options and the costs, candid about what the worst case might be, and incredibly courteous and customer service-oriented throughout. In the end, I spent just $53.40 for an effective solution and an oil change! Just like with one's health, it often pays to get a second opinion. Vince will definitely have a crack at my business going forward.

These guys are the best. I never have to wait for an appointment, they're efficient and thorough with services, and truly the most friendly people in the city. Tasha and Levi are always knowledgeable and so sweet. I highly recommend Vince's!

I had my car inspected at Vince's. Very friendly and helpful staff who were willing to look up what I needed (since I'm from the other side of the state). Flexible scheduling, reasonable price, and expedient service.

I have an older 2006 Mustang GT project car that was a track car. Over the years of wear and tear it ended up blowing the rear end and I wanted to upgrade the gearing ratio. I went to multiple shops in time, all of which refused to work on it. However, Vince's team was very professional and told me the timeline and costs and now with a 3.73 gearing, the stang really jumps off the line. Now I go to them for all my car projects, fixes, etc.Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Brakes, Battery

I was able to drop my car off easily before they opened so that I could get to work on time. They have a lock box for keys and you can park outside the fence. Everyone I interacted with was friendly and professional and no one tried to pull the "you need extra expensive things done" game. It was a great experience.

My car had an engine problem a few days ago. After some web search this is where I found and was able to make a reservation the very next day. Though it took a little longer than first said to diagnose the problem, crew were very kind and explained everything well. After all the problem was cam sensor going bad. I got it replaced the same day and cost was less than expected. It was also a great experience picking up the car with all the graceful attitude.

Awesome! Accurate estimate of time it would take. Came in under the original quote and gave me an even lower price if I paid in cash (which I did).Their price was way less than the place that gave me the original diagnosis, the work was great, and the people were enjoyable to work with. Can't ask for a better experience!
