I'm not sure anyone like having to deal with car issues but whenever I have any I take it to Russ Auto Care to be fix. Randy is a good , honest person, who will let you know what is best for your car. I have been going to him for I believe over 20 years now. He's let me know when I needed some on the spot and when things would most likely become an issue. I recommend this shop to anyone in the area and cannot say enough good things.

Randall at Russ Auto Care is responsive, flexible, and honest. Both times I ve been there, my final costs were lower than my estimates. I have an older vehicles. I've been going to Randy for where I can trust to get good advice and good service at reasonable prices. I've always been very happy with the communication the services and the prices a Russ's. The work is always explain to me done promptly, and I'm kept informed. I'm always offered a ride and a free cookie when done.

Horrible service. They misdiagnosed my vehicle's issues and charged me several thousand dollars to fix what ended up being a bad gas cap seal. I had to come back twice to have the issue rediagnosed and fixed because the lights kept coming on. They offered no reimbursement for the misdiagnosis of the brake system or the emissions code. On top of that, they put a tar like residue on the back window for me and permanent white spots on the steering wheel. I strongly recommend against going to this shop. Take your business elsewhere.Update: Despite Russ Auto Care's reply below, these pictures were taken at the time of the 'repair'. Their response is hysterical as the brake system was absolutely a part of the 'repair' which they failed to resolve (see added image where scan clearly identifies the code). I ended up having to change the brake switch myself. These guys really don't know how to diagnose cars or treat your vehicle with any sort of respect. To respond that 'I did not voice my displeasure', that is absolutely a lie. I asked if we could come to a deal on price due to the misdiagnosis on several accounts, but the associate claimed a free ($30) gas cap should be sufficient because they "couldn't work for free". Absolutely horrible customer service and an absolute lack of knowledge about vehicles. As you can see from their response, also untruthful owners/associates. Please take your business elsewhere.

We are so glad that we found Russ Auto Care when we moved to Bellevue almost a decade ago. They are trustworthy, reliable and just plain good people. We wouldn't dream of taking our vehicle anywhere else. 10/10 would recommend for any of your car needs.

The team at Russ Auto have been great at keeping records of my vehicle maintenance, and checking them when I have a new problem; for example, this was invaluable when my battery was failing and they saw it was under warranty. I d never visited this shop before, but I definitely will again! They got me in just 2 days after my phone call, kept me updated on everything & despite me thinking I needed all 4 brakes & rotors, they were honest about only needing 2, so it saved me money. They even checked in a few days later to make sure everything was good with my car. Solid service all around!

They charged me over $100 to put my battery back in my car. They never contacted me about what was wrong with my car they just told me how much I needed to pay I was very upset. Someone texted me 2 weeks later and asked was I satisfied. I told them they charged me to put a battery in my car they never texted me again. I will never use them again. After I had a few bad experiences with the new management at my old mechanic, I brought my car to Russ's at a friends recommendation (he's been going to Russ's for 20 years and now I see why). They got me in quickly, made the whole process super convenient, Amee kept me updated, and everything was explained to me before they did the work. The texting system was really convenient for while I'm at work, I'm not sure why more mechanics don't do that! They didn't have great news for me, as I needed both sets of brake pads/rotors replaced instead of just one set like my old mechanic told me, but I can say at the very least, I've had similar work done before and Russ's charged several hundred dollars less than I'm used to. I'd meant to write this review sooner, but at least I can say that now two months out, my car is still handling so much better than before I brought it to Russ's (Randall had also reached out a week or two after my appointment to make sure things were good, I appreciated that). I have taken my car here several times over the course of the past two years and initially my experiences were positive ones. I then took my car for an oil change about 6 months ago and they were telling me about additional work on the axle that needed to be done and quoting me at about $900. As this didn t seem right to me, I took my car to a different trusted mechanic who told me nothing was wrong at all with the part Russ Auto described to me or my axle at all.Most recently I had to have parts of my exhaust system replaced, the resonator and the muffler which Russ Auto did in January of this year. Because of the axle misdiagnosis I did not initially feel comfortable bringing my car back to be worked on and brought my car to a different mechanic for a diagnosis.Because there was a chance that my muffler was under warranty through Russ, I did end up getting my car diagnosed by Russ Auto in the hopes that they would be accurate and fair in diagnosis and pricing and I would be able to get work done under warranty. But sure enough, Russ Auto listed other things that they claimed would need to be replaced. When I questioned Russ Auto s diagnosis of my car, Randy spoke to me in an extremely condescending and disrespectful tone and began telling me about how I didn t understand what was going on, and getting angry with me that I was blaming him for my muffler malfunctioning within one year of replacement.My car has now been successfully fixed by the other mechanics and they did indeed verify for me that the additional repair that Russ Auto claimed I would need, did not in fact need to be done. They fixed only the resonator and muffler as originally diagnosed. Needless to say, I am extremely disappointed and angry about the experience I had and the multiple incorrect diagnoses that could have cost me hundreds and hundreds of extra dollars.Services: Exhaust, Auto exhaust system repair

I found Russ Auto Care through AAA . I was visiting my daughter who is a student in Pittsburgh and my low coolant light came on, so I knew the car wouldn t make it back to the Philly area. When I called them Amy immediately got me in to have my vehicle looked at. They called me to inform me I needed a new water pump. They were able to fix my car and I had no problems. Amy was very helpful and the mechanics did an excellent job. I appreciate all their help. They were very nice to deal with.Service: Engine repair

We have taken our older Honda to Russ Auto several times now and gotten great service at what seem to me to be fair prices. They are always friendly and provide a detailed quote before performing any work. The last time they were able to complete it within one day which was great. Car is there again right now (it's an older car, you know) and our experience has been great so far.Update: We got a newer car and still very pleased with Russ Auto. Fast work, honest quotes, and very friendly.

Great experience with Russ Auto Care. Got my car inspected by them last year. They were honest with their inspection and didn t pressure me into making any unnecessary changes at all. They performed a 40 point check on my vehicle and gave me an itemized summary of what could tuned up and provided what they would charge for each item. Two months later and they texted me to check in and make sure everything was still running smoothly with my car. Couldn t be more pleased. 10/10 would recommend

Russ auto is the best place in Pittsburgh for auto repair needs. I had Russ auto perform my yearly inspection. After they looked at the vehicle they called me to let me know what was needed to keep my vehicle safe on the road. I had the opportunity to okay all types of repairs and work.I am very confident in the work and couldn t be happier with the price. I hope I can drive business their way because auto repairs do not have to be stressful if you go with Russ.Fluid change, inspection, new tires, and some minor body repairs keep the 2014 great escape , still great on the road. I ve been using Russ Auto Care for about 2 years now. Amy at the front desk and Randy (owner) have been absolutely wonderful. Always super helpful and honest in their recommendations. We take both of our vehicles there for maintenance and unexpected repairs.And unlike our last mechanic, they always make time to fit us in for emergencies. We decided to try them out three years ago because it was a short walk from our apartment, and completely switched over from our old mechanic. Service has always been fast and affordable, but the most valuable benefit is their honesty and advice. We've never felt like they were doing more work than was necessary to make money, and they will always explain the work that's being done and why they're doing it. They'll give their thoughts on maintenance work but I've never felt pressured. And the renovated office looks great! Very nice people.

The good people, Randy, Scott and Amee at Russ Auto Care took my old jalopy which I thought was dead and brought it back to life again. Solved a few mysteries and fixed a few problems and I was back down the road again. I haven't needed a good mechanic for a while since I bought a car with a 100,000 warranty. But when I inherited this old car I followed my wife's recommendation and took it to Russ Auto Care. I'm glad I did.Good people, great service, what you need in a good old fashioned auto repair facility like Russ Automotive. Thanks again guys, the car is running like a champ.

I have been taking my vehicle to the friendly folks at Russ Auto for a while now and recently trusted them with getting my car prepped for 100k miles. They were extremely helpful in breaking down exactly what I would need done and followed up with me a few days after to make sure everything was running smoothly! My car has never felt better to drive and now I have the peace of mind that it ll run for many more years to come!

I wrote this review four years ago, and I still take my car to Russ Auto. In that time I have recommended several friends to them, who all have received great service! Can't recommend enough.4 Years Ago - Needed my inspection and emissions done along with an oil change. Dropped my car off and picked it up the next day. No issues and definitely a place I will be taking my car back to!

April 9th, my Ford F150 was towed to Russ Auto Care after the engine was on the verge of overheating. They are an AAA approved service garage and were recommended to me. They were very busy. I explained that I was from the Buffalo NY area and needed to get back that day, if at all possible. They determined the water pump had to be replaced and that they would squeeze me in. 3 hours later, I was back on I 79 headed for home and everything was performing just fine. The price was very reasonable as well. It is so refreshing in this day and age to find such a professionally run business. Their integrity in is old school. We had a very good experience at Russ Auto Care. We needed new struts on our car. We took it to another mechanic first. The price seemed rather high, so we took the car to here. The service was excellent, they brought my wife into the back to show us exactly what was going on with the car. And, the price was nearly $400 cheaper than the other repair shop. This will be the only place we take our cars going forward.

This place is great! I had a noise from my exhaust, and they fixed it right up. Randy was very thorough in explaining what was wrong (just a gasket thing), and did my inspection at the same time. Super knowledgeable and efficient. He then went over my future options and things to keep an eye on, with prices and explanation of what might happen or be affected. It was affordable and they worked with me. Great customer service and quality. I can't recommend them more, and after having tons of car problems over the years here in Pittsburgh and going to many different shops, I can say I'll never go anywhere else again.

Moved to Pittsburgh recently and had no idea where to take my car. Tried this place my car in to get inspected and needed a bunch of maintenance that was out of my price range (due to the amount I needed done, NOT due to them overpricing). They worked with me to get the essentials within my price range and told me everything else that would need done. Friendly people who try to help out as much as they can. Will definitely be going back.

Russ Auto is fantastic.The staff actually cares and does their best to get your vehicle back promptly. They stand by their warranty and go the extra distance for customer service and satisfaction. Highly recommend them for any car need. So happy to have found a trustworthy and reliable mechanic shop.

I, of course, waited until last minute (or two days after last minute) to get my car inspected. I called late morning from work and asked if he could squeeze me in in the afternoon and he said sure. They got my car in, inspection and emissions, and got me on my way. So nice and friendly--would definitely send friends or family there. I had called jiffy lube first for prices and Russ cost about $20 cheaper for the same services. Support this local business!

We originally took our van down to see if we would qualify for the napa credit card so we could get it fixed, however we were denied. Randy still took it in the bay and checked it out to see what exactly was going on with it and to give us an idea of how much it would cost. Randy and the entire shop were so incredibly friendly and went above and beyond what they had to for us. They worked with NHCO so we could afford all the repairs on our van, which we truly appreciate. Got our van back today and it feels and sounds like a new car. They gained customers for life with our family. We've never been treated better, their prices are fair, they work quickly and diligently, and most importantly my husband and I feel like its a garage we can trust, as well as great people. Thank you Russ Auto Care for getting us back on the road!

Had my car towed here yesterday because it wouldn't start and desperately wanted it back in shape for the weekend. I got a call this morning that my starter was replaced and it was good to go!! I couldn't be more impressed from my first experience here.Randy was so helpful from the start, even calling to touch base with me about the issue and let me know how much it'd cost to fix before taking any further action. He was 100% transparent from start to finish and even reviewed some recommended future services complete with thorough, easy-to-understand explanations and educational videos! I didn't feel talked down to or hassled like I have with mechanics in the past. I'm glad I was able to find a go-to repair shop so close to home and with such great customer service! I'd highly recommend!
