This place is horrible . They done custom work to my car . Installed a navigation screen and sound system neither of them work. They took my money and didn t know what they were doing. My hazards lights, radio and a/c system is destroyed from them cutting to much. Mark was pleasant enough to take my money but not refund or fix anything .

Mark has done an amazing job on my car, he s worked with me to create the exact vision I had in my head. Design, communication, implementation and quality of work, all top notch. I won t be taking my cars anywhere else. Hands down the best shop in Pittsburgh.

I had scheduled an appointment for 11 am today to address the issue with my Hyundai car's stereo, which wasn't working. Upon arriving at the shop, it took him a mere 15-20 minutes to diagnose the problem: a faulty player. However, to my dismay, I was charged $73 just to be informed of this issue. What added insult to injury was observing another customer, who arrived without an appointment, receiving over an hour of attention, during which the technician leisurely engaged in conversation and even checked the customer's speakers while I waited with my three-month-old baby. This was my first experience at this establishment, and unfortunately, it left me deeply dissatisfied. Not only was I charged for a problem that remained unresolved, but the discrepancy in treatment between myself and the unappointed customer was glaringly unfair.

Platinum Motorwerks is hands down the best place for all of your car audio and vehicle customization needs. Mark's knowledge, quality of work, and customer service is the best I've encountered from a car shop. He truly cares about doing quality work and his experience is something I have looked for with my car audio needs. He goes above and beyond. He makes sure you are satisfied and happy with the work done for your vehicle. Platinum Motorwerks has a great selection of all the best brands in the industry so you are getting top notch products as well. If you have not checked them out yet, you are missing out. You will absolutely love their work and be back with future vehicles as well. A+ work every single time!

I highly recommend this place, i had them install starters on 2 cars. Mark was awesome, work was done on time and he took the time to make sure i knew how to operate them.

These guys are amazing! I wish I could give them more then 5 stars! They installed an android radio system in my fusion. These guys are as friendly as they are knowledgeable! They were unsure if they would be able to get my car done in 1 day so they had told me two days. I received a call 4 hours later telling me that my car was ready for pick up. I could not be happier and I will be making sure to recommend these guys to anyone that needs work done!

I recently got an audio overhaul from Platinum Moterwerks. All I can say is how impressed I am with the shop. I went in with one idea on how to do the audio system myself and talked with Mark for over an hour to really find what I needed to get the most out of my car. He's fully invest in his work and the customer and providing a quality cost effective result to get as much enjoyment out of the system. On top of this though, he's also aggressive about learning more about the trade he is in. He goes to car shows and Car AV shows as much as possible to learn the new products available and expand his toolbox to provide you with an optimal system. Speaking of toolbox, he has the ability to do everything in house due to his ability to laser cut and 3D print every piece of custom equipment and fitting he needs to make your system fit in the vehicle. I had my door speakers replaced, doors sound deadened, and a full sound processor overhaul done to get true clean audio quality out of my vehicle. The car was digitally tuned to my seat with the smallest physical footprint possible. The picture of my trunk shows literally nothing that doesn't look factory WELL there's a ten inch sub where an OEM 8 used to be and the amp and DSP hidden completely out of sight in a very clean setup. I couldn't be happier with my end product, and I'm so happy I could go to a shop that listened to me and helped me find my specific goals, in addition to someone who truly prides himself on giving a quality product. In addition to custom sound equipment, they also do leather seating, window tinting, auto starts, and soon to come ceramic coating and paint protective film. My trust and confidence with my car is not earned easily, and I cannot emphasize enough how much they have done it.

This shop is absolutely awful, the owner is rude and does not know how to talk to a customer. He tried aggressivley talking me into spending tons of money that was unnecessary. Sure, this shop does extremely professional installs, and they do go above and beyond what's required for a system to sound good and function properly. This however, is not needed and is a complete waste of money. Take your money elsewhere to get the best bang for your buck.

I had a good experience at Platinum Motorwerks. I got a remote starter put into my car and it all worked out. We experienced issues toward the end of the process right as they were closing. They checked under the hood and it wouldn t latch shut, but that was my fault for having a dented hood when I brought it in. To fix this issue, the owner called back one of his mechanics, who was done for the day, and he came. After about 20 minutes they had the latch working and my hood closed. I appreciate the mechanic coming back to fix the problem.My only complaint was that it was fairly pricy for the starter, and I was expecting a little more for what I paid for. I had a remote starter for a previous car and it came with 2 key fobs that locked/unlocked/started my car for a cheaper price. I only received one fob that only remote starts my car, so I now have to keep 2 key fobs on my car keys.Overall, this garage does a great job and has great people working for them. They treat you like you were a friend or family coming in to get your car serviced. The cost was my only issue.

Had a remote start installed on vehicle. Felt they were very upfront on pricing with no curveballs. They did the job pretty quick (slightly over an hour) and were very friendly. Even took the time to show me what they were going to do. Believe his name was Mark. Nonetheless, very happy with experience. Thanks for the work.

This place was awesome. I had no idea about any audio system information. But mark walked me through it. No matter how many questions I had he would take the time an answer everything and did it on such a friendly basis. They also hooked up a super nice system in my car and pointed me in the right direction. I decided after they put the first sub in that I wanted another sub put in and as soon as mark got it in he called me and I went Monday morning and he threw it right in on 25 minutes. Mark, ty, and Lexi are awesome. Mark will work with your budget and not push you into spending more than you want.

Im a rideshare driver and need protection from the rider who wants to falsly accuse me of something or other drivers. This place is great if you need interior wiring for your car as i did, Mark is expert with doing this. He wired my car with 3 dash cams amd hid all of the wiring perfectly. My dash cams work beautifully. The value of the price is determined by the protection of proof of what happened as a result of an accident. I can prove someone lying with the press of a button and replay of the incident. So, if you need a dash cam wired into you car, Mark is the guy to see. I paid him cash in order for him to avoid the credit cards fees as i do with tipping servers. Thank you Mark for helping me!!!!! Im bringing my 3 other cars to you to wire them as well.

Mark and his team are the best. I had a remote start installed and windows tinted. Very fast, friendly and efficient service. Will high recommend them. Can't wait till they start offering detailing service.

I made an appointment at this place a month in advance. I called the next day and changed the appointment to the day prior. Early this morning I drove an hour to be at my appointment on time only to find out that they did not bother changing the schedule when I called. They told me they might be able to fit me in at he end of the day. How much notice do I need to give if one full month isn't enough? I didn't bother sticking around and they didn't seem to care. If they can't figure out how to work the calendar app on their computer then I don't want them working on my car anyways.

Awesome job! Everyone there is super nice. My husband purchased me a remote starter for Xmas. Had it installed today. They explained everything I needed to know before I walked out the door. The girl at the counter, I believe her name in Lexi is totally adorable and super sweet. Can't recommend this company enough. I've dealt with alot of establishments where the owners/employees don't seem to like their jobs and it was a nice change of pace to deal with this place. Thank you!!

Had an appointment scheduled for over a month and a half. The day of the appointment they called to confirm and quoted me a different price then what I was originally told. Smh...I canceled my installation immediately.

I initially went to the shop seeking a sub-woofer that was unfortunately out of stock. However, I get a call back from Mark whom sat down on the phone and we discussed the type of sound I was wanting to achieve for my price range, and he was able to set me up with hands down the best sounding sub system I have ever owned. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone wanting the best sound possible for their car audio. Mark is willing to sit down and teach you exactly why certain brands of speakers are worth it over others based on the sound you want to achieve , and he will provide you with actual science and facts as to why certain brands of speakers perform the way they do.

I was told about this place by a co-worker this is where I had a remote starter put in my car.And then I have them install a system in my where I can hear my tunes to my liking and very loud. They do great custom work I definitely recommend this place to everybody they have great customer service and great staffAnd they definitely know what they doing.

Pleasantly surprised 2 after market automotive GREATS joined forces to open a shop!!! John of Steel City Wheelhouse has lifted my jeep and added accented powder coating to my suspension which is why I have recieved multiple show trophies. His attention to detail with matching wheels to compliment ur vehicle is unrivaled. Now that he has teamed up with Mark Blake (a genius when it comes to audio) Steel City Wheelhouse featuring Mark Blake designs will be the ONLY place I go!!! Mark is amazing I have no clue about audio and he took the time to look over my jeep (which has no room for speakers, or so I thought) to go over how to seamlessly add speakers so it looks like I bought it like that from the dealership!!!! If you want it done right go here!

This place is a scam. They installed my husbands speakers incorrectly resulting in NO SOUND whatsoever in the whole car, not even the turn signals make a sound. When asked to fix it they wanted us to pay $1200 to install a new stereo system when they did it wrong in the first place.

They did a horrible job on tinting my windows on my 2016 Volkswagen Passat. They are very unprofessional and didn t take my car in until 2 hours after my appointment. I would never suggest this business to anyone especially for window tinting.
