A SPECIAL THANK YOU to DOUGLAS, JEFF and MALLORY for helping me out today making calls to insurance companies, talking to car dealers and very professionally dealing with my specific situation today. These guys went above and beyond to get me back on the road as quickly as possible! I couldn t be happier with this experience! Pep Boys Awesome Survey (Jeff Kennedy, Store Manager)! I would like to say a tremendous THANK YOU to Jeff Kennedy, Store Manager in Shadyside who gave us excellent customer service today. Eddie and Douglas are also very professional, kind, and knowledgeable. Jeff went above and beyond the call of duty to help us. He was very professional, knowledgeable, kind, and explained all the services that our Mercedes Benz E-350 needed for approximately 1 hour without any impatience.Additionally, the prices at Pep Boys were half off what Mercedes Benz charges. He also offered a Military Discount. Furthermore, he offered the Pep Boys Credit Card so we can make easy payments. Most importantly, as we talked to Jeff, we found out that he s a Man Of God, and as a woman that was the Trust factor that my daughter and I were looking for to put our minds at ease that he was not going to overprice and that our car was in great hands. I was able to make an appointment online on a Sunday for a Monday morning. Everything was smooth when I arrived. Only hiccup was that I was given a 2 hour estimate but return 1.5 hrs later to learn they were back up and hadn't taken my car in yet. But once they started the work was fast and I received a text my car was ready

I had a great experience getting my oil changed here at Pep Boys. I was greeted by Eddie who was incredibly helpful and friendly. My car was taken back quickly and I was in and out in no time. Their customer waiting are is very clean and tidy.

This was my first time going to this Pep Boys location and everything was quick and easy! I love the fact that you can make your appointment online, so no long waits for your car to be checked. They were straight forward with pricing and everything was very efficient. I ll be coming here for all my oil changes in the future!

I had a very good experience. The staff was very well mannered and very direct and transparent. I had an issue with my tail light, not working. I d recently gotten it replaced. It was some wiring issue. Luckily, I still had my old tail lights, so they just switched around some of the wiring from the old taillight to my new tail light. And My car, Shirley, was ready to rip and roll. Would recommend anybody!

I went to.Pennzoil on Banksville Rd where I was told they wouldn t change my oil due to a screw and sent me on my way with no resources other than find a mechanic . I called this store as it was close to my destination and they were more than willing to take a look even though it was close to closing time. They found a huge error made by Pennzoil that could have cost me my car. I really appreciate the professionalism, they have a new customer.

Popped two tires from a pothole and had it towed here. Fast response time and knowledgeable staff. They prioritized me since I was staying in a hotel, and even ran out to pick up tires when their scheduled delivery didn't come. Their prices were very reasonable. They also made sure to return my spare. The only complaint is that they over-pressured my new tires and lost a nozzle cover.

The ONLY person I would deal with is Jeff Kennedy. Referred by a family member and haven t been to anyone else since. Reliable, fair and easy to communicate/work with. Great service and other employees are welcoming as well, overall Jeff is a great manager.

I've had my vehicle in this shop several times now for inspection and minor repairs. The experience each time has been a positive one. In spite of being quite busy each time, the employees are always considerate and professional. The work is done well, and the cost really reasonable.I highly recommend going here.

I drive an older car that I don't have any interest is replacing. Over the last three years I have gone to Pep Boys and have gotten my car fixed several times. They are pretty quick with the turn around time. They take their time to answer my questions. Also, the wheel alignment packages cannot be beat. Seriously if you live in Pittsburgh you should get a wheel alignment every time you get your oil changed.I cannot complain. The work is done and I never have to go back for them to fix the same issue twice.

I had a great experience getting my oil changed and my air filter replaced. Eddie was very helpful, and I found the appointment tracker helpful. They were able to send photos through that, which helped me understand what my car needed done.

As a disclaimer, I am leaving this review as part of a 30% off promo.So far, I haven't been thrilled with my experience at this Pep Boys. Today, I just paid for them to not fix my car's ac. They charged me for them to "evaluate" it, even though they weren't able to fix the ac. They suspected that it needed to be charged, whatever that means, but all 3 of their ac charging machines are broken and so they told me to come back when they're working. As a result, they took off the fee for charging, which seems to come standard on their ac repair package, so thanks for not fully ripping me off.However, I have decided to give them 2 stars instead of 1 because they did finish sooner than I expected. I brought my car in shortly before close yesterday and was told it would be ready by the end of the day today, and so I expected it to be done in the evening time today. It was done around noon today, so earlier than expected. Though, it is possible that they might've just been overestimating the pickup time so that I would be pleased with their timeliness no matter what.Another reason why I am giving them a 2nd star is because I did also get an oil change and at least they were capable of doing that. Though, they might've upsold me on that as they told me that my oil level was too high. I just got my car and didn't want to take any chances, so I followed the representative's advice of getting an oil change despite my suspicion of being upsold.I would probably recommend going elsewhere, especially if you don't know a lot about cars like me as you might get talked into getting unnecessary work done. Also, if you are having anything more complicated than an oil or tire change done, then that might be another reason to go elsewhere as they might not be able to handle such a task.

Wanted them to replace the neutral safety switch and they messed up the transmission. Took my car to another shop and will not be coming back.Also had them replace a tire pressure sensor that I m pretty sure they broke during an inspection. Took it back twice for them to fix and they kept calibrating it to 32 PSI, so it s always on.These people do not understand cars.

This pep boys location helped out when the AC compressor went on my son s car and the brakes on my truck needed fix. Basically a complete brake job was needed. Eddie and Jeff were both very helpful and easy to work with. I would recommend this location to anyone and will be back for future repairs.

I am from out of town and I got a flat and needed a new tire quickly. I didn t have an appointment and they were still able to get me in and quickly taken care of. Eddie helped me to decide the best replacement solution. He was friendly, kind and courteous!

I am very disappointed with their customer service and lack of responsibility. I made a morning appointment and dropped off my car, and they said it should only take 2-3 hours. When I called to ask about the status of my car at the end of the day, they left me on hold for 10 minutes. They called me 24 hours later, saying there was no gas left, with 0 miles on the gauge, even though I had left it with 20 miles. They could not perform any of the services I requested. I appreciate that they corrected their mistake by getting me gas and helping start my car. Overall, it was a stressful experience, and I did not get my car serviced on time.

The Pep Boys experience was EXCELLENT thanks to Mr. Jeff Kennedy, Manager.Mr. Eddie & the entire team were also kind. He exudes professionalism, patience to explain the tire comparisons & service quotes, and customer satisfaction was guaranteed. The total service costs slashed Mercedes Benz quotes in 1/2 and we still received premium quality parts.The service we received was beyond a financial Blessing. They did a 90 dollar engine inspection only to tell me that they didn't find anything wrong with my engine. Oh, but they made sure to offer me an outrageously priced "engine flush". Well guess what? Per the code that appeared on the scan I got done before I came in and informed them about, it was in fact a faulty brake light that was causing my car to think my brakes were on, making it run slow. Oh, but the wonderful staff at this Pep Boys made sure to tell me that couldn't be the issue and the dealer I got it from, FOUR YEARS AGO, probably disabled my check engine light so that code ran in the background all this time (without issue, mind you). OH, AND, when all was said and done, the man at the front desk gave me my keys back to leave. So I go out to my car and you know where they parked me? A HANDICAP SPOT.

They completely forgot about my car the day they were supposed to work on it. I called in the evening, and they promised to work on it first thing the next day and to call at 10:30 and it should be about ready. I called at 10:30, and they said it was being worked on and would be ready in another hour. The status tracker on the website was never updated until I got a text at 11:30 that it was done. This is the second time I've had routine work (state inspection and tire rotation) take way longer than it should. What's the point of an appointment if they're not going to work on the car at the appointed time?

Booked an appointment that I was told would take 45-90 minutes. Sat in the waiting room for an hour and realized I left my house keys on the same key chain as my car keys that I gave the employee when I checked in. Another employee went to retrieve my keys in the back but realized that they had been left by the other staff member at the front desk, meaning that my car was not even being worked on for the past hour. Completely preventable mishap due to employee carelessness. DO NOT go here if you value your time.

My battery had been dying for awhile, finally one morning it would not take a charge. I was able to get my car in for an appointment within 2 hours and a new battery installed before the end of the work day. Very convenient and fast service.

This Pep Boys is awesome!!! I was helped by Eddie, and he was so attentive to my needs!! I was in a rush to get to work, but my tire was lifeless - he got me in and out in a flash, zoned in on the issue (a nail!), was very friendly, and was a plain go-to guy!! I will definitely come back here - Thank you, Eddie and Pep Boys!!
