Hit a big pothole and had an immediate bubble in my tire. I called when it happened and they were able to get me in within 30 minutes of calling and had two new tires replaced within an hour. Great fast service without any hassle!!!

Hours from home and evening time after work I Got a flat and found this place was close by. I CALLED AHEAD to ensure that they would have the correct tire and time to put it on for me. However, when I arrived they said they didn't have one in stock. They did have correct tires but weren't exactly the same as the other ones on the truck. I practically begged them to put one of those on it but the lawyers took priority. Unfortunately since I had wasted so much time bringing the truck here every other shop was closed or would be closing before I could get another tow. Ended up out the cost of an Uber, a hotel, expensive delivery food, and had to walk two hours from the hotel back to the shop to avoid more expenses I can't afford. It's not Monro fault that I got a flat (nor was it mine, as I was run off the road by an inattentive driver and hit a curb to avoid hitting her car), but if they hadn't told me that they had a tire here I could have found another shop in the evening. Changed from 1 star to 2 because at least by the time I had walked back they actually had a tire to put on, though sitting here in the filth of the same disgusting clothes I've had on since yesterday smelling like a trash can, and knowing that I half killed myself at work yesterday just to spend most of what I made on basically nothing it's pretty difficult to feel grateful.

Dropped car off at 10:15 am for a state inspection and oil change and car was not ready until 7pm. I was told I had to pay over the phone and I could pick up my car the next day. Then I was told the shop was closed the next day and I had to get there in 5 minutes because the worker wanted to go home. Left oil marks on my passenger car seat.

I made an appointment to have my winter tires mounted yesterday, I was told that it would take about an hour. The gentleman at the desk told me at first that they could only install/mount new parts, then after looking at the tires he said that I would have to leave it (contrary to what I was told on the phone previously). I guess they didn t want my money, so they ll never get my business again.

I called in to see if they had any availability for an oil change, they took my car in immediately. I expressed some concerns with my oil changes before and Scott & his team showed me things on my car, issues that I was running into & really explained things to me so I would understand them. I told Scott that I was trading this car in tomorrow and he asked about the new car and who my technician would be in the future, let me tell you, IM GOING TO SCOTT. he was helpful and friendly and took time to answer my questions. I appreciate genuine kindness and he will always have my business!! Thank you Scott & Team!

The shop itself seems awesome, but there is a mechanic there that doesn t speak English as his first language and for whatever reason, he tries to be as difficult as possible. He needs to really work on his customer service skills or not deal with customers. Two times in less than a week he s attempted to make the situation more difficult than it needs to be

We had our 2023 Nissan Rogue in for an oil change and tire rotation a few months back. 3 months later I take my vehicle to another location to get the next oil change and rotation done, only to discover that the Monro "technician" had over torqued the bolt in the oil pan and didn't install the filter correctly as it was leaking too. We were very fortunate that the oil pan didn't fail and wind up ruining the engine. This is totally our fault as we have had bad experiences in the past with this location and have been told more recently to stay away from this shop. Stick with reputable businesses and avoid this place at all costs.

Good shop with good people. James is awesome. Honest guy who runs a steady shop. They've done a few things for me and all the work has been good. I'd highly recommend this shop. They get you in and out too!

In 2017 I purchased 4 new tires from Monro on Library Road, nearest Saw Mill Run Blvd in Pittsburgh, PA. Even though I ve stopped going to this store for all other car issues because their service is terrible and the techs are incredibly rude and not at all understanding, I ve ONLY ever gotten my tires serviced at this location because I purchased the tire protection plan.Fast forward to 2019 and during an inspection at another company, it was discovered that my front drivers side tire was the WRONG SIZE tire, meaning I won t pass inspection. So I now need 2 front tires. 1 to replace the ill sized tire, and 1 to go along with it so the tread would be even. (It is common knowledge that tired should be replaced in pairs, as is safest and best for your car.)What I was hoping was that, since this was obviously their mistake and I wouldn t have had to get to tires if they hadn t made this mistake, was that both tires would be replaced for free. Or at the very least, the miss-sized tire would be replaced for free but the other tire would be covered under my protection plan and I would only have to pay for the amount of tire that I d used in the past two years, and the rest they cover, as per the protection plan describes. However, the technicians made it very clear that the best they could do is offer a buy one get one deal on the both tires. Meaning I don t even get the tire that they mistakenly put on my car replaced without purchasing the replacement for the tire that was installed correctly the first time. As I tried to explain the situation again, hoping that talking to someone new would get a more fair result, all he said was yeah yeah I ve heard the whole story already That evening I called customer service, went the whole morning the next morning without a response, and ended up calling again. The representative i got said that they don t believe my situation is true and so they won t claim any responsibility for their mistake.So I m done. Never going to Monro again. I suggest everyone else do the same. I d rather pay more at a different store that is kind and professional than deal with the rudeness and irresponsibility from Monro Muffler and Brake. As a matter of fact... I did.EDIT: Monro responded to this review saying "We regret to hear that you had a negative experience with us, but would appreciate the chance to turn your experience around." However, I can't find any way to respond to that on Google review, so I'll respond here...You (meaning the store I went to, their employees, customer service, and the company as a whole) had every chance to make this a better experience when I repeatedly asked and tried to offer up solutions myself during this whole process. I got called a liar by customer service representatives on the phone when I tried to rectify the situation myself and cried. Truly, short of reimbursing me for the money that I could not afford to spend on tires because of YOUR mistake, I don't think there is anything that could be done to turn this specific experience around. I recently went here (5 days ago) with break problems. Had an appointment for 9:00 AM the technician wasn't in till after 10:00. Then after the guy was done with my breaks and I drove off the breaks he put on kept sticking making it hard to drive after stopping. Took my car back to tell him what was going on and the technician told me that because I didn't pay for a package all he could do is look at them again and nothing else. Now I'm stuck with breaks louder than what I originally took them in for.

Horrible service! The office is completely disorganized lost my appointment, waited for 2 hours for my inspection. They had to replaced the battery but they installed it incorrectly which caused the inspection to fail continuously. I had to take it to the dealership to find out it was the battery they installed.

The Monroe employees helped me get two new tires after I went there with a tire weight stuck in my tire. The employees showed me the problems with my rotors and brake and was able two replace them with new brakes and rotors. The manager gave me an estimate on a replacement muffler after the other technician showed me that my muffler rusted apart at connection between the muffler and resonator. The technician show me that the shocks on the back need replaced and the technician said that he will get me an estimated price for it to be done. When I called the manager to let him know that the sensor he put in the tire to let me know my tire air pressure is low was faulty he said that he will get me a new tire sensor from the other store and to call him on Tuesday and then we can schedule to replace it.

If you can avoid this shop, do so. A simple oil change and tire rotation almost destroyed my truck. Incompetent employees can't finish simple tasks. Oil smudges all over the hood. They didn't fill the truck back with enough oil. I won't be using any of these shops again. If I could give them negative stars, I would.

Avoid this place if you can.They lost my friends insurance and registration for her car and over 5 visits later and they still haven t completed her repairs or inspection due to their scheduling issues. If you tell someone the to come in for an inspection appointment, don t let the only inspector leave early for the day? Disrespectful to your customers time.

Every time I've been to this shop they've been excellent! They're usually able to get me in same day, or at the latest the next day. They don't try to upsell me, in fact when I thought my car needed something they actually checked and told me it didn't! The staff is professional and friendly, and when they couldn't figure out what was going on with my car they brought someone in from another branch to take a look at it. They go above and beyond and have made me a repeat customer!

Great service by manager Steven Gumina and his team. He was able to fix muffler noise / rubbing with fender, by straightening muffler hangers. Was able to get me in without appointment and fixed issue within 20 minutes. And saved me a lot of money had I gone to dealer.

I m curious to see how many people (females mainly) come here to get their car inspected then at the end are told that something is rusted/damaged etc and it s going to be a number from $400-$600 to get it repaired and they can t pass your car until you do that repair then when you re genuinely surprised they knock off a couple bucks so you think you re getting a deal. I thought this only happened to me until I overheard the same thing happening to another woman at the same place. And it s very possible her car did need repaired but I m sensing a pattern.Also their system needs a huge update because twice now I have scheduled appointments online just to show up and be told hey cant take me because the system didn t alert them of my appointment.

I went there on December 9, 2022 to get my muffler fixed. They ordered the part and for 2 months they kept telling me that my part wasn't there anymore. I told them it has been 2 months and my part isn't there, how can that be? I also asked them if they had actually ordered it. Every week I would either go there or call and everytime they would tell me we will call you this week with an update and then no one would call me. When I called yesterday they told me they could cancel the order and then reorder it. I told them that that wasn't necessary because I went somewhere else. Why didn't they do that a month ago? No communication on anything. James was the guy who I dealt with and I guess since I had already spent 200.00 cash for him to "fix" a part of my muffler, I guess he didnt want to fix the rest of my muffler. I'm assuming they pick and choose who to help because of the reviews I've been reading. Wish I would have read these reviews back in December.

Stay away from this place and if you do go to them inspect your vehicle thoroughly before you leave. They damaged the underside of our car installing tires. Apparently they don't know how to lift a car. The worse part is they didn't let us know they damaged it. Luckily I was following behind when we left and seen the damage and turned around and went back. They said they would take care of it and that was a month ago still no word from them. I made 4 trips down there and the manager will always be in tomorrow (lol). Supposedly the part was ordered. I contacted the local dealership and they said it would be in stock the next day if ordered before noon. We filed a claim with corporate office. Stay away from this place is my advice

This is directed towards the one tech Travis. This dude really should not be working on cars. A friend of mine has taken her car to him twice because they went to high school together. That was a horrible mistake.Today a botched brake job from this tech from 4-5 months prior almost caused an accident on a busy roadway. Dude just slapped the pads on and called it a day. It's brake job 101, you grease the damn slides and guide pins. Clearly these were not.10-14 days ago or so, he did a power steering pump that was not done correctly. Leaks constantly. When contacted about the issue he refunded her partially, but she can get to him only at his convenance. If you do a shoddy job, you should fix the thing ASAP.Get this guy properly trained or get rid of him before he kills somebody.

Overall a great experience! When I called, Joe understood what I needed done and gave me multiple choices so I could decide what I felt would be best instead of trying to sell me on a specific service/tires/etc. When I arrived, they took my car straight back and reviewed what services were discussed over the phone. My car was taken care of in a timely manner, and I was updated on the progress periodically. Overall best experience I ve had when having my car serviced! Will definitely be back!

I had to take my 2013 Kia Optima car in for breaks and rotors. I m assuming it s priced because it s a chain and not a ma and pop, but I needed it done correctly and ASAP. I already had a bad day my first visit, Carvana doesn t cover much and I cried unintentionally! He brought it down $150 for me.When I brought it up, open time slots ASAP, the girl at the counter helped me. The mechanic who worked on it found 2 more things wrong. The total would ve been $300 more and I simply didn t have it. The part was covered, but it was late on a Friday and that process is a nightmare. I didn t mean to freak out, but I sorta panicked because it was not drivable without the part, I couldn t afford to wait because of work, and couldn t afford the process without it fixed.The girl re-emerges after talking to who I m assuming is her manager, and fixes the car for a very significantly lower cost because they took some services off the bill. She was patient and felt bad and related to my financial troubles.Thus far, no more grinding or noises and they trulyHelped me out when in reality, it s a fairly big store. Thanks so much for working with me in getting me back in my car. It saved my life.

Appreciated the effort but the fact my car was a hybrid terrified Monroe mufflers mechanics, they'd tell me to take it to the dealership (this was the 2nd Monroe Muffler I went too) & I ended up changing my serpentine belt myself. . . Saved myself $300 and gained some knowledge+ Experience.

My husband has gone here for years for oil changes and inspections. This is my first time taking my car there. I got an oil change and alignment done. I was very happy with the service. It was easy to schedule, done quickly and the manager was very nice. I cant say enough nice things about this team.

First when the mechanic finished my wrx he red lined my rpm s after cold starting it. $80 to put on two tires I had brought myself, no explanation of where they came to that price. Called McKnight road and they said $25 per tire and no idea where they came up with that price, unfortunately I had let the scam artists perform the work already. Will NEVER return to this place.

Went in to get a state inspection. They passed the emission test but failed the inspection, according to them because my brakes drums were worn too large and needed to be replaced. They quoted me about $500 to get it done with parts they happened to have in hand. I denied the service and gave the 75$ they charged me for the emissions and failed inspection. I made an appointment with Dean Honda to redo the inspection and they passed it without issue for $25. I am in my early 20s and my inspection was due soon so I guess they thought I would just pay and not question them. They tried to scam me out of $500, NEVER going here again.

I recently had my oil changed. It was last minute, I was in a hurry and possibly could ve been late for a very important meeting. Joe was amazing, he had me in and out in a very timely fashion. He was very polite, greeted me with a welcoming smile and made me feel comfortable. I will definitely come back for any of my automotive needs.

I have been going to Monro on 88 for the last 2 years for oil changes, inspection. James who is at the front desk is AWESOME! They always make me feel welcomed. They answer any question I have asked. This is the only place I have found that they do not try to sell you other parts. I will continue to come back!
