Have lived nearby this location for quite some time - happened to stop in today as I needed an oil change pretty badly and they seemed to be the only people nice enough to take me in an hour before closing and do it gracefully. Shawn - this location's manager - did my intake as well as the oil change and he was extremely friendly & helpful, definitely plan to come here again in the future. The only comment I have is to Monro corporate office - they should really spend a few bucks and give these awesome employees of theirs an upgrade to their surroundings. It's a miracle that these staff members are so friendly and helpful when Monro has them working in a building that - if I was working here - would probably need therapy after even a month with how depressing the corporate office has allowed it's appearance to become !

Very friendly, very efficient. As a woman you can worry about going into a mechanic and getting taken advantage for lack of knowledge but I didn t feel that way at all. Sean was friendly, efficient and didn t overcharge. Called me to make sure I was aware of what was going on. The work was done quickly and I would recommend them.

I would give this place negative stars if I could. As a 24 yo female, they absolutely tried to take advantage of me. I made an appointment to get 4 new tires. When i showed up i was quoted $155/tire + labor. I went in for my appointment and they said they didn t actually have the tires in stock and I d have to come back in 2 days. So i rescheduled my appointment, showed up 2 days later, was quoted an entirely (more expensive) price. I was told they didn t have my appointment in the system. And they tried to up charge me to get an alignment done which I explicitly said I did not want. Once receiving my bill they did in fact charge me an extra $130 for an alignment i said i did not want. Additionally, they said i NEEDED new brakes and rotors because they were metal on metal. He quoted me $1,200 or said he would do it under the table for $300. Seemed sketchy so I went and got another opinion. I was told my brakes and rotors were in nearly perfect condition. THIS PLACE IS A SCAM. SEAN WILL TRY TO SCAM YOU. I highly advise any young adult, especially women, to avoid this place at all costs.

I've been bringing my 2020Sorento here since 2020. The staff was always straight forward and seemed honest. Until my last oil change where I was told I needed $1500 worth of work including a new cabin air filter plus new tires. After giving me the whole pitch about my family breathing in toxins. The red flags went up because I personally changed my cabin air filter last month and my tires were just purchased at the end of last summer. They still have the rubber hairs on the side walls! I planned on getting my brakes changed but after hearing this I decided to take my car elsewhere and when I got home I pulled out the cabin air filter and it was spotless! Fast forward a few days later I'm driving on the parkway and it sounds as if I'm driving with my windows down. Something is flapping when I go above 40mph. I pull over to find multiple clips missing from the under panel.I'm so upset.

Yeah, they ll get the job done. However, some of their technicians don t care to keep the steering wheel straight when adjusting your alignment, so you leave with a crooked steering wheel. They also may leave brake dust palm prints on your beige headliner. Check all this stuff before you leave if you choose to use this shop.

I would not wish this garage on my worst enemy. I took my vehicle to this location for a state inspection, oil change and tire rotation about a year ago. Unbeknownst to me, when my vehicle was serviced, the technician not only broke the key to my wheel locks and didn t advise me of this, they also overtightened all of the lugs so much that I had to have the lugs chiseled off by the dealership costing me hundreds of dollars in labor. I spoke with customer service who said that they were unable to assist me because there s no was to confirm that they were the last people to service the vehicle despite the fact that my vehicle is serviced once a year during inspection and they were the last ones to do so.

Overall I had a decent experience. First I brought my car in and the manager on duty had no idea how to price out fixing my muffler and exhaust system for my equinox. They gave me a quote for $2600. I knew that was way too much money for what they wanted for the parts that needed to be swapped out even including labor. So I asked about patching. The manager had no idea if it was possible but was able to offer me an appointment for the main man who does patching. When I took my car back in they were transparent and called me saying patching was not possible since the muffler was too severely damaged but they could change the muffler and the exhaust system. They quoted it for around $1400. That is about half the cost of what it was originally quoted to me. I looked at the prices online for the parts that needed to be replaced and it was half the cost of what the quote was. They definitely were ripping me off. I called other car repair shops but everywhere is booked solid for weeks. I told them to go ahead but they definitely over charge to an incredibly inflated amount. The total cost of my repair should ve been probably around $800-$1000. I was definitely over charged at least $400.10/10 service2/10 pricing

I ve been going here for almost 10 yrs since under new management and reading all the reviews, I decided not to go anymore. It is closer to home, but I can call and make an appointment at any other Monroe or minus thank you for the great 10 years that manager was awesome. He went way above what he should be doing. I miss him. I wish I remembered his name!

I came here to get work done on my car and they completely damaged everything that needed to be fixed. Brandon Freeman is a horrible mechanic who rushes his work when he has to work by himself. I got quoted 700$ for brakes which I KNOW is outrageous. But I had somewhere to be. They will indeed overcharge crazy amounts you if you do not know how much your parts for your car cost. I do not recommend you come here to get anything done. Especially if you are a female who doesn t have men in her life to tell her what it is and what it s not.

Very helpful and super nice guys. Helped me with my tire within an hour and had me in and out as quickly as possible. They are very busy so I would call before stopping in. Very knowledgeable and made sure to let me know exactly how to care for my tires.

I had a flat tire and needed it fixed ASAP. Other places said maybe tomorrow but Malcolm at the 3530 Boulevard of the Allies location told me to come right in. They took a look at my tire, told me it was just a very small hole in the tire, patched it and I was back home within the hour. And it was only $35! I'm so grateful for the speedy help (and that it was not a bigger issue with the tire) and affordable fix. I feel confident taking my car back there if other issues arise. Thank you!

Kind and helpful!!! We were visiting Pittsburgh from Philadelphia and had a problem with our tire and our TPMS. Shawn was SO helpful, kind and we would have been in Pittsburgh for two additional days if it wasn't for his quick thinking and out-of-the-box thinking. We are very grateful!!!

Untrustworthy. They quoted us a pretty high price for brake and rotor replacement. We decided to go with it out of convenience.When we brought it back to the shop for our appointment, Brandon estimated us $100 more and wouldn't honor the prior quote. He also claimed that he couldn't print us this new quote itemized, and said that the prior quote "forgot about tax" despite the prior quote being the total including parts, labor, tax, and over $50 in "shop fees".Avoid this place, they're the kind of guys who think they can rip off an easy target.

I had a great experience here. Got me right in at my appointment time, completed an oil change in less than 45 min, and even helped me back out onto the busy road they are located on. Highly recommend.

Ladies-Monroe is definitely not a place for us.This Monroe is close to where I work so dropping off my car in the morning and walking to work is so convenient. However:1. 1st time I dropped off my car for an oil change, they didn t do it. Can t remember the excuse but not having to pay for parking in Oakland for 2 days was ok with me. (But if getting your car back when it s promised is important to you, skip this place.)2. Day #2. Told them (and left a note with my keys) to give me the cheapest oil change. It was $75! Oh, sorry. We forgot what you said!(?)3. My daughter dropped off her car for work. I called to let them know where I hid the keys (8months since my first time and they still don t have their drop box fixed!) After work came to pick it up, NOTHING done. We couldn t find your keys. You couldn t call the number given when making the appointment? We don t have a number Then more excuses.4. 3 strikes your out.

The staff at this location is very friendly and professional. I'm always able to get an appointment scheduled in reasonable amount of time and never feel overcharged. While you may be able to find oil changes and inspections at lower prices, the reliability from this place, and the people, are worth it to me.

The service at this location is exceptional!! The detail and care given to me by technician checking me in & the mechanic went above and beyond service I've received anywhere else. I visited Pittsburgh from Philadelphia after getting work done in my hometown about a week earlier & ran into an issue on the drive up. This location was open early on a Saturday morning, scheduled me for an appointment within 2 hours, saw me right away, had a quick fix & gave me so much comfort heading back for my ride home. My friends from the area also needed work done to their car and I recommended them hands down, as I would to anyone else!! Wonderfully run business

They had my car for 5 days to do an inspection and tire change. They lost my keys, lost track of my car (forgot why it was there and what it was scheduled for) and then the day I picked it up, the mechanic was slurring his words and claimed to be on a "heavy duty medication." I am currently waiting in line behind 3 other people with similar problems. I'm really nervous to pick up my car, I hope it's all okay. I used to travel across town to go to this location because the mechanic was so helpful. I think he must have left, I can't believe the service has become this bad.

Absolutely recommend this place 100%!! I went in yesterday to get an oil change and came out with a lot more done to my car thanks to Brandon! My car has never ran so smoothly before and I owe it all to him, he is the man! I will be coming back to this location any time I have car trouble

Used this place 2 years ago and it was great. This time, I just needed an oil change. I made an appointment online. The day of the appointment, Dan called me and told me that he made a mistake accepting that appointment because the mechanic doesn't start new work after 3pm. Whatever, it happens. Our rescheduled appointment time comes around. They have my car the entire day. Half an hour until close I still hadn't heard from anyone. I called in and Dan told me that they "hadn't gotten to my car today" even though it was just there for an oil change and they had it the whole day. I went back to pick it up and when I walk in, there is Bob Marley music blasting through the place so loudly that I can't hear what they're saying to me. Dan says "I gave you false information." He tells me that they did in fact do my oil change. The mechanic walks out and he asks him "Hey, you worked on that car, didn't you?" Dan didn't even know if my car had been worked on, despite telling me on the phone that it hadn't and in person that it had. So apparently the oil change was actually done. He discounted the service since it had been such a disaster. Then, he can't find my keys. Asks me if any of the 6 pairs on the table are mine. They weren't. He tells me "Don't worry. I've never lost a set of keys. I.... just don't know where yours are at the moment." What?? So he leaves me with the blasting Bob Marley and comes back 10 minutes later with my keys in his hand. All he had to say was that "They were where they were supposed to be, but I never look there because the keys are never where they're supposed to be." I just want to get in my car and leave at this point, but Dan seems to feel bad and follows me out. He keeps asking me if I am capable of backing the car out onto the boulevard. Dan also tells me that he wants the mechanics to back them in so customers only have to pull out of the lot, but that his manager said no because it was too much of a liability for the company. I seriously cannot believe my interaction at this place. Would not recommend to anyone. Dan was the worst service manager that I have ever had taking my vehicle anywhere.

In the middle of a road trip, we got a flat tire on the 76 and made it here on our spare. Despite having a parking lot full of cars to work on, Dan and Rob prioritized our situation since we were in a rush. Their prompt and professional attention got us back on the road within an hour, and we had a great conversation while he worked. We are so grateful! Highly recommend.

I brought my car in to this shop hoping for an entirely new set of brakes. I took my car in at 4:48 pm. I believe the mechanic's name was Josh who I worked with. He said he would have it done by 6:00 and by some miracle, he did! I was amazed at the service and he was so nice, which might not matter to some people but workers like that are what will keep a lot of folks coming back. Definitely did a fabulous job and very fast.
