Called to get estimate on full synthetic oil change and front brakes and rotors. Gentleman on the phone was going to call back and let me know. Never heard back- figured he got busy so I called 3 days later to follow up. Woman answered and said "how would I know what to price you if your car isn't here?" Said she can't give an estimate - told her make model year etc... she said no you have to have your car seen here we wouldn't know how to estimate that. Difficult to deal with woman- never got estimate and not offered an appointment.

This is my favorite auto mechanic in our area. Michael is a super ethical and competent mechanic that has a nice way of telling you what needs repaired or serviced. They go out of their way to serve their customers.One time, they even had someone give me a lift home and picked me back up because the repair was going to take a long time and they didn't want me to have to sit there. Now that's service!I have an older car so I am always worried when I take it in for the annual inspection. Michael and his team never rip you off by making up repairs or anything even on an older car which I totally appreciate.They have done both major (replaced my AC system) and minor (old change, tire rotation and inspections) work for me and I could not recommend them any more.My only gripe is their driveway which sometimes gets deep ruts in it that's hard on our other car which sits low to the ground. They do try to keep up with it to make it smoother but it's difficult since it's just gravel. Minor gripe for such a great place.

Everything about this place is absolutely fantastic. All of the mechanics (as well as the receptionist) are all very personable and kind. You will NEVER get ripped off or screwed over with these guys. They also supply honest, fair, and quality work, and their consultations are also very helpful. I was even able to bring in a car I was thinking about buying, and they looked over it free of charge. I cannot recommend these guys enough!

Mike has been my family's mechanic since before I was born. Mike is a gruff, lively, well-tattooed guy who gives honest, straight diagnoses to your car problems. I have never once been ripped off, and trust him and his crew every time. There were two occasions in the years I went there where they made a *minor* mistake, and they fixed it immediately, no charge, no hassle.They won't charge you for extra parts, and they are up-front about suggestions and options.I'd recommend calling at least 2 weeks ahead of your preferred time, since they always have a long line of people waiting.Services: Tires, Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair, Wheel alignment, Brakes, A/C installation & repair, Air conditioning, Battery, Oil change

I always get a call from Michael Johnson reviewing issues he sees with my car. Very informative and helpful and always asks your approval before going ahead to fix the issues. He provides accurate quotes and sticks to them, and the rest of the team is very friendly, informed, and helpful.I took a car I bought used in for an alignment and there were a lot of serious problems with it that he positively identified. He called, went over the options and quotes and fixed everything. It felt like a new car after that. He even touched up my brakes and repaired my emergency brake for free because he felt bad about all the issues that he found.I highly recommend Michael Johnson's!-2 years later I highly recommend Michael Johnson's. I am shopping for another used car and he gave recommendations for cars that are good and ones to stay away from. He also encourages me to bring in any used car I am looking to purchase for an inspection/analysis for free and without an appointment! It's incredible!

Phenomenal service. I will go here every time I need car work performed. Both Michael and the mechanic that did the work were excellent. I read a lot of reviews about mechanics within the city and was not pleased. I read Michael's story on their website and can definitely feel the family-like warmth of how they conduct business. My clutch now works perfectly and he let me use a loner vehicle to head into my work while they fixed my car. So easy to drop it off the loner car that night and drive away in my fixed car. Definitely give then a try.Pulling into their back parking lot is a little odd, but very worth it for quality service and no BS.

Our friends recommended Michael when were have having some costly repair work done on our car. His price was substantially less than the dealership that gave us the initial estimate. He has saved us tons of money, treats us well, and stands by his work. It's nice to finally have a mechanic we trust.

Honestly, fantastic service. My 2006 Mercedes had a pretty significant oil leak. A Monro quoted me $1600+ to fix it. Another mechanic told me he couldn't fix it and my only option was to take it to the Mercedes dealership. I called here just to try one more place because it had spectacular reviews. Mike got on the phone with me for 20 minutes explaining what he would do to diagnose the issue, how to get to his shop, and promised to not over charge or "take me for a ride". I really appreciated the time he spent with me on the phone. He also said "you take your car to me once, you'll never take it anywhere else". I thought okay, nice pitch, but we'll see.Tim was very professional and diagnosed my car with the problem and quoted me a little over $300 total to fix the issue. I was super happy with that after what the Monro place told me. Also, they deduct the diagnostic fee (~$40) from your bill if they fix it. They fixed my car and then also noticed a busted hose. I got that fixed as well with them but they realized they forgot (and I forgot) to deduct their diagnostic fee for the oil leak. When I went back to pay for the new hose, they waived the labor charge for the hose and deducted the diagnostic fee from that bill and I ended up getting an envelope with $17 in it.Definitely are an honest business that didn't take advantage of me. And Mike was right, I'm not taking my car anywhere else. I live about 30 mintues away, but I'll drive that distance for great work.

I was having issues with my A/C in my Toyota Corolla last year. Long story short, they were quick in diagnosing the issue and they did not charge any crazy hidden fees. They were also so HONEST as opposed to the dealership I originally took my car to. They explained the issue to me in a way that I could easily understand (I admittedly know very little about cars!) and they also gave me pricing information for how much the repairs SHOULD cost (the dealership was definitely overpriced, something I would not have known otherwise).Overall, this is a great shop and I would recommend to anyone in the area. It s really hard to find an auto shop that isn t overpriced and is also HONEST (especially if you know very little about cars). I will be a long term customer!Services: A/C installation & repair, Air conditioning

I previously had good experiences here but the last 2 times I've been to the shop have not been the greatest. I had an inspection done and picked it up after paying $1200 to have it fixed, only to find I still had a tail light out, there was a rattling in my back end and I was told my tires were good. Less than a week after I had to replace all 4 tires. I took it back 4 months later for another $1000 repair and it took almost 4 weeks to get my car back. I'm going elsewhere in the future.

I wish I would have found them years ago. Michael is awesome and honest. Took my wife's vehicle to another shop for an oil change told me i needed new brakes and rotors. Michael did a safety check for our upcoming vacation. Said the brakes still have a good 5k miles left on them. Excellent honest and efficient.

Great customer service! Took my car to the dealership for inspection and was told I needed several repairs and almost $1,000 to pass. So I took it to Michael Johnson's for a second opinion and learned I only needed brake pads. They saved me hundreds of $$$'s and they gained a customer for life.

I am so glad to have Michael auto center. He has been a god send to me.He's entire crew have been so helpful and friendly. I won't go to no others to have work done on my truck. they are willing to work with me and make my trips to them pleasant. price of work done doesn't cost me an arm and a leg. I tell every about them. I am blessed to have them work on my truck.it is all I got and they help me keep it going. thank you Michael and your crew for all you have done for me. Have 2 cars plus grand daughter's and grand son's cars. I take these car to Michael as he does the best not only in workmanship but also in his pricing. Best work at best Price. I will recommend Michael Johnson to anyone needing repairs and inspections.

I was in an unfortunate situation where I needed an evaluation on a serious mechanical issue with my car in extremely short time frame. During the whole process, Michael was extremely helpful, upfront, and honest. He helped me in a very stressful situation and I am extremely thankful. He will be my go to mechanic from here on out.

Micheal Johnson is the BEST, my son needed a passenger side mirror to pass Inspection, I was going to buy a cheap one but Michael went to a junkyard and found one from the same type car (just a different color). For just a few dollars.

Took my Subaru here to have an exhaust installed. Decided to bring my car here after reading other positive reviews and was not disappointed. The staff is very friendly and I'll be happy to return.

I called and asked if they could get my car in for a timing chain replacement, and the guy said they wouldn't because it's just him (won't hire help) and he has enough work (my business isn't wanted). If anyone is looking for mechanic work this place might be hiring?... If you want your vehicle worked on this place is is not for you.

Superior service/value/results every time, all the time! Been using Mike since moving back to the 'Burgh 8 years ago and will not go anywhere else. If you are near Westview and need a mechanic, this is the guy. Award winning honest service highly recommended. He is very honest and has helped me save myself a lot of trouble. Just FYI the shop is on the bottom level of the building. There is a little road that leads behind the building. Confusing the first time you GPS it, but after that no problem.

Best mechanic in the area. Literally treats you like family. You receive not only quality work but at for sure the lowest price possible. Usually booked solid for a week or so but that is just evidence that he is the best.
