I have used Lifetime Auto twice in the last 6 months. Both times they fixed my car in one day. Prices are very reasonable and the staff is welcoming.

All I needed was a simple alignment and was told it would take an hour. 3 hours later, it was ready. A couple days later, the problem came back worse. They tried blaming it on my tires (which are not that bad) I took it to another shop (because I didn't want these clowns touching my car again). The other auto shop showed me that they didn't even tighten everything down! Dangerous! Stay away from this place!!

I needed to do a State Inspection on my car and went here. It took a few days for a control arm replacement and costed $1000+ which is alittle ridiculous. The next day I drove my car up to Buffalo for a job and the ride there wasn t pleasant at all. Steering Issues, Lights blinking about my car is in ruff shape and louder than normal. Which angered me and could ve got me into a accident. Luckily I made it up to Buffalo and back which is good but this place just messes up your car!Service: Steering & suspension repair

On a trip through Pittsburgh, the clutch on our old VW failed. After a tow to Lifetime, the guys there replaced it for a reasonable price. We were back on the road within a few days. If I lived in the city, I would trust my car repairs to them.

One dealership quoted me $2500 for a repair. Two other dealerships gave me about an $850- $900 quote, but it would take a month before my car could be repaired. Lifetime Auto charged me a little over $900 and I got the car back in 3 days.

I have been a customer for approximately 5 plus years. Lifetime has been my go to when I needed any service for the three vehicles that I have. My last vehicle was a labor of love for me and Brad and his service staff knew that. We finally got it complete and I'm happy to have worked with Lifetime to get it right and road ready. It was difficult to get parts and it had some other issues that they had the patience to work with me to get it repaired. I recommend Lifetime auto to anyone that has or is in need of service. Great shop and great staff.Services: Transmission, Electrical repair, Auto engine tuning, Engine repair

They are friendly enough, but I paid 1000+ for an inspection, new tires, and new brakes and while driving down 376 my rear brakes stopped working and started to smell. Luckily my front brakes worked and I made it to my destination, but my dad had to re-adjust and center my brakes. I haven't had issues with the brakes since. I was unfortunately worse off on the road after inspection. Wouldn't really recommend.

Repairs were quick, and they've fixed everything we've taken to them for much less than expected. Specifically, we had our A/C and heating unit melted together and were told it alone would cost $900. Lifetime Auto did the job, plus oil change, plus lights all replaced for $700. Really appreciate these people.Services: Tires, General repairs & maintenance, A/C installation & repairServices: Tires, General repairs & maintenance, A/C installation & repair

I was visiting Pittsburgh from Philadelphia and had car troubles. AAA towed me to a business that could only see me4 days or so later. Called this shop and Brad had me bring it right over and diognosed the issues by the next day. I picked it up and what a lovely gift, I wasnt charged! Kindness goes a long way!I made it home safely.Service: General repairs & maintenance

ruined my motor because of sheer stupidity and even drove it around the block and still didnt realize their error, then denied responsibility and told me not to worry its under warranty, minus as many stars as possible. It took me 15weeks to get my vehicle back because of warranty hassles, parts issues etc....only stopped cause i need an inspection how awfully ironic that ended up for me.

Great owner, fair pricing, excellent work on all my vehicles, only place I take my cars to be inspected and repaired. Work done quickly and all work done is explained with an explanation that I can understand. Always calls with pricing and what needs done prior to repaired so no surprise when you pick up your car.

I had my battery and belts replaced by Lifetime back in February. They were quick (1-2 days turnaround, although I brought my car in late the first day) and reasonably priced. Unfortunately, the battery died a few days ago, but it was still under warranty and they replaced it quickly and free of charge. Thanks for the great service!

They are completely incompetent. I took my car there for inspection and to fix the air conditioning. When they finished the car a week later, the air conditioning still didn't work because they forgot to "charge it" (even though the receipt said that they checked it.) I noticed immediately and took it back, and they fixed it. When I got home the engine light and AT lights came on. It took another week and I had to bring it in THREE MORE times until they fixed their mistakes. They were at least "nice" enough not to charge me to fix their mistakes. They finally managed to get the lights to stay off, but it still drives funny.A week later the air conditioning didn't work (they weren't sure that they truly fixed the AC initially) and I took it back. They didnt even look at it until the 3rd day it was there, and then they actually LOST MY CAR KEYS. They offered to replace them, but its still a tremendous inconvenience.I am never going there again.

I went for my inspection and it was not a good experience. Brad who runs the place will take advantage of your wallet especially if you are a woman. My car is brand new so how much can there be wrong it? If he got nothing he will tell you need your wipers replaced. He is dismissive and comes across as a male chauvinist. Avoid. He failed to inform me that I only had 30 days to return with a new set of tires or I would need to get the process started over. When I returned with new tires he refused to give me the sticker I already paid for. I passed my emission which I got a sticker for and the state sticker he said he would give it to me as long as I came back to see him with the new tires. No deadlines were mentioned. Just new tires. . After all I wasn't asking for brand new stickers when i returned. Just the stickers I paid for and they were valid and legal just like my emission sticker. So now he would only give it to me if I paid for it again. If you dont think my experience counts then read other peoples reviews. Equally bad. We can't all be wrong. if you are looking for a place you can trust and be treated with respect (did I mention he raised his voice) Life Automotive on Forward Ave isn't the shop for you.

Went for a motorcycle inspection. Service was prompt and friendly. The price was great too. One of the only places that will do motorcycle inspections in the Shadyside, Squirrel Hill area. Prior to going there, I had called the place several times for questions. The guy was super helpful, friendly, and never gave me the impression that I was "wasting his time" (like many other auto-service places do).

Having been a customer for years basically sums it up. Dropped our vehicle off at Lifetime Automotive for inspection. Always very professional, prompt and courteous. Thanks to Brad and mechanics, you guys are awesome! Would highly recommend Lifetime Automotive (Squirrel Hill).Jim W.

Had a broken headlight and just dropped my car off, no appointment, and they were able to fix it in less than 2 hours. The staff is very friendly and the prices are extremely reasonable. I didn't feel ripped off like at some other repair shops. Overall I am very satisfied and will definitely go back for any future needs.

I went in last week and told them that my rotors were an issue because the car was shaking when stopping, so these guys quoted me over $1,300 for brake rotors. Parts were quoted at twice what OEM parts cost either online or at an auto parts store, and the labor was over 4 hours. I am an amateur and can replace rotors in less than 4 hours. I obviously declined the service, and was charged $120 just for looking at it. Honestly, this place feels like one of the biggest ripoff shops I've ever come across.

These guys are always great to me. When I went in to get a new muffler, I had duct tape on the side of my car keeping a side panel together (I know, I know - pretty sad looking). These guys put a screw in it for me so I don't have tape it anymore, without me even asking - and no charge. Great crew over there.

Worst service everWanted them to change my tires and do a PA inspection. They came back to me with a serious of bogus repairs that need to be done all adding up to $1850. One of them was a required wiper change - but I know the wipers were good because I changed them a month ago.Furthermore they cracked my windshield and didn t take responsibility.Worst garage ever

New to PA. They asked me to come on a certain Friday at 9 am for doing state vehicle inspection . They said to give 2 3 hours and they would call .Went on that day morning and left the car. Didn't get follow up call . When I called at 230 pm, they said they're running late and they would call me before 5. Never got a call, so I went to collect just after 5. Found out the shop had closed at 5 and I was left without car for the weekend. Luckily I had second set of keys but had to walk long home back again to get it and walk back. Anyway very irresponsible act from them. Fee was overpriced compared to other shops too as I found later. Not going there again neither recommending them to anyone.

Had my car inspected here, all was fine, except a few months later when I discovered that instead of properly re-securing the lug nuts on my wheels, they were cross-threaded with an air impact compressor WAY too tightly and wouldn t come out. Broke off in the socket and had to have them replaced. More than annoying to eat the cost of their laziness. Additionally, I was unexpectedly without a car for a bit because of this shortcut, which is something no one wants to deal with.I don t normally leave reviews, but there are plenty of auto shops in the area that don t cut corners like this (Bellisarios in south Oakland is awesome!), and if you want to support one that doesn t, this isn t the place. Eventually they ll inconvenience enough people with this kind of carelessness that they ll lose customers.I am one who won t be back.

"I paid over $560 for nothing" !!!! RIP OFFRecently I moved to Pittsburgh, from Buffalo, NY. I went to Lifetime Auto Center (5711 Forward Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15217) because I live across the street and I had to get my PA inspection sticker, oil change and passenger front tire valve repairs. They took money for oil change and all the other things but didn't DO ANYTHING. Luckily I check the engine oil, and told them to change. This time they did for "free". They charged money for the wiper blades but didn't change them either. Even after arguing they claimed that they have changed my wiper blades. The "new" blades were dusty, I am too frustrated to argue with them. They also claimed that they have replaced my catalytic converter but I doubt. I am positive that they just fixed whatever problem there was (??) but didn't replace with a new one!!!I am driving back and forth from Pittsburgh and Buffalo almost every alternate weekend and never had any issue with my car. They took money for oil change, but they forgot to change oil, $33 for "dusty" wiper blades, $17 for tire valve!!!! I guess just for the sake of inspection sticker, I had to Pay $560 and they hardly did anything. They are not honest!!!

Dropped my work van off for state inspection and got a call the next morning that it failed inspection because the rear wheel bearing was worn and needed replaced for approximately $500. Since the van is still under powertrain warranty I decided to bring it to the dealer to repair. They had 2 mechanics look at it and they couldn't find anything wrong with any of the wheel bearings. Day Ford didn't even charge me for the diagnosis. Will never go to Lifetime again.

I have ben dealing with Brad for many years. He took care of my late Mom, also. He is very kind and respectful. When my car needs to be left, one of his workers always drives me home and picks me up when the car is ready. I can't tell you how much I appreciate this and this service, keeps me from finding a way to get back and forth. He is conveniently located to my home, He does his best to see that I am satisfied and I get a good price. On my last birthday, I needed new wipers, and he gave them to me as a gift. He is a really nice guy. With everyday life problems, I know that LIfetime and Brad, will be one less. Thanks for everything, Brad.

Just got my radiator replaced due to leaking coolant. Not even 1 mile away, my car immediately started overheating. Coolant and smoke spewing everywhere! Now I have to have it towed back so they can fix their mess. My car is in worse shape now than it was before I brought it in. Hope there is no permanent damage!

Paid $800+ for a coolant leak in my Chevy Cruze only to have the same problem occur 3 months later. Think they just temporarily fixed the problem without really knowing what the root of the problem was. Not going back.
