I was told my bill would be $540 which seemed a little ridiculous and when I went to pick up my car I paid $750 for two tires, a battery, windshield wipers, and inspection. I would suggest going elsewhere.Services: Tires, Vehicle InspectionServices: Tires, Vehicle Inspection

The phone person was great getting us in for inspection quickly when our usual place was unavailable but the mechanic tried to tell us we needed $845 worth of brake work. Nope! Our usual guy inspected and got us done $45! They knew we had a time crunch and tried to take advantage. My mechanic said it s guys like these that give mechanics a bad name!

Requested a tow through Triple A. After hours of waiting for another area company to show up, a truck from Hi-Tech responded. Driver was courteous and towed my car without any problems.

We've been taking our cars to these guys for years, and they have always seemed very reasonable and have done good work. One year, my old car had been in their shop far too often, and the owner told me that, while he enjoys my business, I should really get a newer, more reliable car, since I was wasting money on the old one. I don't think too many places care to make that kind of recommendation. It's a relatively clean and orderly shop, too, compared to many others, and they almost always get the work done when they say they will. I'm a little baffled by some of the other reviews, since they don't reflect our experience.

I called for pricing on a battery and was told they could not give me an actual price... only that it would be "less than $190". Jen who answers the phone is less than helpful. Owners must be okay with her making the decision to turn away business.

I had always felt remorse when my car needed repairs knowing I would most definitely be charged too much for too little. This place IS the exception. They only repaired what I needed and the prices were more than fair. They gave me some things to watch & listen for in the future due to their professional experience they knew what to expect. I've had my truck inspected there 3 times and never needed anything except a bulb and they threw it on for no charge. Outstanding service and very easy to understand and deal with. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU

My car broke down in Penn Hills I called AAA within 10 minutes of hanging up they where there. Very fast service and the driver Dave was very nice and professional. Couldn t ask for a better or faster tow on a 20 degree night it made a big difference took the sting off a broken transmission down a little.

I had to call AAA tonight to have my truck pulled out of a really deep mud ditch, and I didn t think any company would wanna do it because it was pretty far off the road. The guys from Hi tech came out an hour later and brought 5 trucks to come get me out! They brought the whole calvary just for this one truck. They had the best attitude even though it was later at night and super cold out. Never have I had such a great experience with a company. Would reccomend for any towing or automotive needs in the Penn Hills area. Amazing work!

Best little auto-shop in the burgh... only 3 bays, so you probably want to schedule an appointment, but they are full service, tow, accidents, little easy peasy things like changing out lights, or tire pressure gages. Great prices & honest

Picked my car up and the staff were sooooo nice. Had me cheezin and a happy customer!! Definitely found my new mechanic at Hi-Tech Auto Care. My truck runs and sounds great.

Shady operation and I can explain (I usually work on my vehicle myself, but I developed a back problem):I only requested a flush for my heater core and request to check for driver side window not operating (I changed the control switch with a new one previously). I was told that the heater core was flushed and heat works, and the window control works by replacing the control switch. I thought "OK, I must've got a bad 'new' switch". At this point, heater core has been flushed and 'new' (but filthy) switch was installed and ensured that it works by who I talked to. However, the fix couldn't be verified since they said "you don't have your window track installed, we can't completely put this together". They told me that as soon as I found that part, they could put it back together. I thought I may have left it in my garage... searched my garage up and down but couldn't find it. Looked online for a replacement and the part is discontinued. I thought nothing of it at the time. I can go without a drivers side window control, at this point. A week later, my battery died. Batteries go bad, so I got another... and that battery died within a week, and the windows were fogging up . I tried to reinstall my door panel, thinking that was the problem (condensation), but I couldn't find the screws... they were still in the door! Whoever took off the door panel just ripped it right off without taking screws out! And I just isolated now that the IAC valve wires were pinched together (causing other issues, right next to the heater core).Instead of telling me the truth, these guys said that "You don't have parts installed", "We fixed your heat", "We fixed your window issue", charged me a lot of money (relatively) and cost me more than it was to fix the original issues. I saw a similar vehicle to mine parked outside the front, so I'm wondering if they swapped and claim ignorance.I paid for a 'new' window switch, and heater core flush, ended up repairing more for damages than what was repaired.

Roadside assistance is a joke. After waiting 2hrs in the freezing cold they spent literally 5 minutes trying and couldn t jump my car gave up without offering any other assistance and left me to freeze

If you want something done right with people who know what they are doing, this is your place for great auto care. No beating arround the bush. Staight honest knowledgeable people who never leave you hanging. Mike and Jeff are great people and have always done a great job for my wife and I .

Disorganization, they took off my gas tank, a week goes by and I dont hear anything, so I came in to ask what's going on. The gentlemen called the parts place in front of me to see the status, we found out the order was never placed. 1x more week goes by and they order the wrong part. I finally get my vehicle 1month later, then 2 days the I found out that the pump that goes into the tank cracks and i was force to take it back. Worst experience ever.

AMAZING customer service. I don t know much about cars, and they always clearly explain what is going on with it. They are so helpful. The Driver was very rude didn't want to change the tire he was called to change all he wanted to do was tow my truck, he didn't have a jack, his tools were a joke he rounded off 1 of my lug nuts then when his joke of a breaker bar broke he got mad like a little kid and left me there beside the road. I called the office and got no assistance or call back. I Will NEVER use these people or recommend them to anyone . STAY AWAY!!!! i WOULD NOT EVEN GIVE THEM 1 STAR BUT CANT POST REVIEW WITHOUT IT

Everyone there was friendly and helpful. Was able to set up a appointment for inspection and emissions with no problems. A great independent repair facility.

Taken cars there for 3-4 yrs. Always a pleasant experience, They only do the work that is necessary and keep parts to show afterward which have been replaced. I would highly recommend them.

Talked to the "owner " about a tow. Very unprofessional I had cash and AAA . Could've paid either way but instead I got the run around about certain areas and he has 2 trucks down. Oh and he tows for AAA! He could've been a man and just said no

Little pricey and also did more work than I asked to have done. So of course cost me a lot more than I had expected.
