I never feel pressured to complete work, they diagnose, send me financials, and then allow me to discuss and think it over. I appreciate that.At one point a had a blown tire and they just went absolutely above and beyond. They were patient when I got stressed and was not my best self. I appreciated that too!

I have been having Harmar Tire and Service take care of my car fir a number of years. They are easy to work with and to schedule appointments with, do a great job, and are reasonably priced. Needed a PA State Inspection. Decided to try here since it was close to my employment. Able to get a quick appointment. They did a great job. Needed to add oil, which I suspected since dummy light hand come on. Was told mt breaks were getting low, but still.passable. No pressure sale on the breaks, which I appreciated. Recently had my car inspected and some bodywork done, and an exhaust system replaced Harmar Tire did a great job!! They were friendly and work was done efficiently, and in a timely manner!! They also provide a loaner car which is really a bonus when you have to give up your car for repairs!!! This place is the best. Pulled as they we're opening on a Monday morning because my vehicle started making noise on the turnpike. They took it in immediately, without an appointment, and fixed everything in an hour. Even took me into the garage to show me what was wrong (loose lug nuts). I wish I was from this area so I could bring my vehicle here every time I need something.

Always outstanding service. Customers can expect excellent workmanship, a phone call with a clear explanation and photos if anything extra is noticed that needs attention. Took it in for state inspection which it passed. They let me know that a muffler flange was rusted, and showed me photos. It should get replaced in next month or two and they told me their parent company Oakmont Automotive and Tire could fix it if I so wanted or could take it anywhere else I chose. Oakmont Automotive is also outstanding so I took it there in a couple of weeks. These folks always take great care of your vehicle and their prices are reasonable and much less than a dealer but get the job done faster and as good or better.Service: Vehicle safety inspection

Friend recommended. I thought I d give it a shot. He did a great job on time. He worked on our 120,000 mile auto. It runs better and safer since he made recommendations that were acceptable to us. No complaints at all. I had the tires balanced, and an alignment previously. The tech was afraid of snapping the rear adjustment bolt (they rust and seize to the bushing, common problem with Hondas). So he stopped and only charged for the balance. I replaced the bolts, and bushings, and had the alignment done later. The tech even checked my oil, I was aware of the oil pressure switch leaking, but he let me know the oil was low. I was surprised by that! Reasonable pricing, service was done in a timely manner. Car drives much better now. Would recommend to others!Services: Tires, Wheel alignment

Got tires there recently. I wanted my old ones. They took care in removal. New tires were installed. They took care with my rims. Took time to balance correctly and perfect. Re installed correct and torqued lugs properly. They did a great job. There is a right way to do things and they do. Fantastic locally owned company who cares about you and your vehicle not just in it for the $$$$ came here for inspection after another major corporate company failed me and seemed sketchy, come to find out harmar tire deemed 3/4 of the failed items were in fact fine and passible. They saved me almost $1,000 that the other place tried charging me. They have gained a new customer for life. Thank you so much guys. The woman who works the desk is super friendly and kind also. Highly recommend!

I highly recommend Harmar Tire and Service! My car was just inspected and I couldn t be more pleased. Sam at the front desk is so knowledgeable and made it so welcoming for my sister and I. She knows exactly what she s talking about and gives great explanations. This is the second year I ve used this business to have my BMW 428i with Xdrive inspected, my oil changed, and my tires replaced. They handled everything perfectly, kept me informed, and the services were completed thoroughly with no problems faster than I have EVER had any big name dealership finish them. As if this wasn t enough, they were patient with my tardiness, waited for me to produce a wheel lock for my custom rims, & still were polite & kind beyond belief. Veteran owned, family business. Fantastic Humans!

Avoid this place. Had an 8:00 am appointment for 4 tires and an alignment. Upon arrival I was told the tires were not there. The person there made a call and found the tires were to be delivered between 8 & 9:00. They did show up, however I questioned the wisdom of scheduling an appointment for 8:00 when the tires may not be there until 9:00. While inspecting the car for the alignment it was found that it needed an outer tie rod. I informed them beforehand that I would have my son install any needed parts - I try to save a few bucks when possible.My son installed the tie rod, I took the car back for the alignment and was told the tie rod was loose or defective. The person refused to attempt to tighten it. (They have a sign on their front door saying they do not install any tires or parts that they did not supply) Evidently this includes tightening an installed part. My son quickly diagnosed the problem and tightened the tie rod. Took it elsewhere where the alignment was completed. After spending over $700 for tires, one would think they could have taken a little effort to do what my son did. Had they spent a few minutes diagnosing and fixing the issue, I would been a happy returning customer. Instead, I left angry, will not be back and will pass my experience along. It occurred to me that given their location, their clientele is likely the more affluent folks of Oakmont & Fox Chapel who don't have to do their own repairs. Maybe they didn't like having my dented-up rust bucket soiling their facility. I don't know but the owners of Harmar Tire need to learn the meaning of goodwill. Goodbye Harmar Tire.Service: Tires

This was my first time there. Made an appt with Sam who was kind enough to make it very convenient for me. Steve was at the front desk. He made the wait go quickly by having a nice conversation with me while still handling his work, calls, and other people leaving or picking up their vehicles. He is very personable and Jared (the tech doing my car) was very nice as well. Everything about my experience here was great. Highly recommend. They got me in the next day for a tire repair which lasts the life of the tire and brakes and rotors. Great customer service every step of the way from initial call to text and picture updates along the way.

Harmar Tire has got to be theee worst auto repair shop that I ve ever been to thus far, and that ain t saying much at all since all mechanics lie these days. But, the lady at the front desk said that I had a hole in my wheel well and told me not to worry because they fixed it and I owed them $125 for the fix. BUT, seconds later the mechanic walked out from the back and apologized to me for accidentally putting a hole in my wheel well with a wrench. So therefore, the lady lied to me saying it was preexisting and I had to pay for it. She even tried making me pay after that mechanics confession. Plus, she basically read me a novel full of problems and falsehoods about what else needed fixed. After trying to get the cost reduced from what they did, she still wouldn t budge and would whisper things to the mechanics and I also found out she is the daughter of the owner and he wouldn t do anything for me either. I personally believe that their rating on yelp is full of fake reviews because I ve had nothing but problems with them and everyone that I know who went there also had a similar experience with them. On another occasion prior to this, I went there to get my car inspected and they told me that I needed things that I didn t and charged me to do a break inspection that I did not ask for. Which involved them taking my breaks apart and putting them back together so I had to pay for the labor and the service. The only reason I even came here was because it s so close to my home. The front desk girl got her job from daddy and is daddy s little scammer. DONT GO HERE!!!! Avoid at all costs!!!!

Got 2 tires replaced & inspection done.They are always very knowledgeable, provide pricing options & reasonable with time it takes. Sam at the front desk is great! They are a garage that you can trust & that treat you fairly.

Come to this place!! After several bad experiences at Midas, I decided to try Harmar Tire. Every experience I ve had here has been fantastic. Friendly and non-judgemental employees that are genuine and not looking to take advantage of women who aren t experts on cars (we all know what i m talking about). I came in for an oil change, and not only did they fit me in on a booked day on super short notice - they plugged up a tire of mine that had a screw in it and replaced a torn windshield wiper. They went above and beyond to help fix up my car that needed a little love. Also love the lowkey vibe- come here ladies!!

Stopped in this afternoon for a quick oil change and tire rotation. I felt that the entire team went above and beyond to deliver a extraordinary experience. Steve at the register was extremely helpful, quickly getting me a quote on a service I plan on having done in the near future. I will absolutely be returning for all my vehicle's servicing needs. The place is quick and painless. Steve was super helpful and was able to get me 4 new tires and my car on the lift 15 minutes after talking on the phone. Its great to have this place nearby.

I came for an annual inspection and have since been back for oil changes, tire replacements, fluid changes, and other repairs. The staff is extremely kind and knowledgeable. It s a small family owned business and they ve always been very honest and up front about all the costs. The service was really quick, I was in and out for an oil change within 30 minutes. I recommend making an appointment. When I called here to see if this place could do an alignment on my vehicle the person that answered the phone was basically clueless if this shop could actually do an alignment on my particular vehicle. There was another person in the background, that she kept talking to asking them the questions I was asking her. Instead of her just giving the phone to that other person or someone that actually knew what capabilities this shop had she just made things much more confusing and annoying. She kept asking how long my vehicle was, I asked do you mean the wheel base or the actual body length? She couldn't seem to understand the difference, and just kept saying how long is it. I had to keep repeating myself over and over,,,, until I just gave up and hung up the phone. It was almost as if they didn't even want the business, which is fine by me if the other workers are as clueless as the person I spoke with. I wasn't even going to write a review, however since the business owner responded and asked why I gave a 1 star review I decided to waste more time on this shop and write this. Don't worry Harmar Tire Service, you won't get another call from me.
