I went to Halbleib because I bought a salvage titled car and the guy I bought it from suggested we go there because we needed a Salvage inspection and Halbleib does those. I couldn't help but notice how busy and efficient they were but not too busy to where they couldn't get us in and out of there quickly. I got to talking to the owner about another car I had and he knew exactly what was wrong without even needing to see the car. I was expecting to pay around $500 for the fixes I needed but to my surprise he only charged me $200. I am thoroughly impressed with the work they did and will continue to make the 45 minute drive there for future car needs. They are worth the trip. They are the only place I ever came across that does both mechanical and auto-body with a full service notary inside. I was thoroughly impressed overall and highly recommend them

As a young woman, I hate going to any auto repair shops for any reason. I had a terrible experience at another shop when getting an inspection because the owner tried to tell me I needed $1500 worth of work (more than half of it was unnecessary). Halbleib s was recommended to me by a friend, so I took my car there. It was seriously like night and day as compared to the other place. Everyone there was nice and professional, but most importantly treated me kindly and the same as they would someone else. I don t know a lot about cars, but I never like being talked to like I m stupid. I will definitely return to Halbleib s for this reason. It s not about what you can do for someone, it s how you make them feel. Halbleib s gets customers for their great service, but keeps them with how they treat you!

Just got my brakes done at the Witaker Way shop. They where great took it to them in the morning and they had it done by 5. Needed more work than I had hoped but the back brakes are kinda important. Gave me a decent price. If you are in Munhall, Homestead or Witaker use these guys. They'll do you right.

I wrecked my Porsche car. Halbleib automotive came and towed the car. The service was quick and easy. They also provided me with a rental car. All in a one stop shop service. Excellent customer service and service. I highly recommend.

No stars. Extremely rude and unprofessional. Car was towed and I understand that is a me problem but when we come to pay the full amount we get treated poorly. This business is ran horribly. And you should give your customers respect upon entry to your establishment.

I purchased a car from a private seller, and they had Halbleib's do the title transfer for us, which they presumably do for him often for him since they're on a first name basis and the seller buys and sells cars for a living. Halbleib's had allegedly done the safety inspection and the sticker just needed to be put on after the sale. Once the title transfer was done, they told me that the emission test wasn't ready and it needed to be driven more. I opted to drive it around for a week and come back, which I did.When I came back, they told me that the emission still wasn't able to pass the test and to Google the drive cycle for my car and go drive it around. I'm not a mechanic and had no idea what that meant, so I was frustrated, but went and drove around. When I came back, they told me that it still wasn't ready. I asked what specifically I would need to do to pass it, and they told me that I didn't need drive long enough and needed to keep driving. I was already an hour into this, getting increasingly more frustrated with the lack of concrete actions to take, and asked how much longer I'd need to drive. The owner told me that he's "doing me a favor" and if I didn't like it then I could call the PA State Emissions Test Hotline and then told me to go somewhere else.The seller and I spoke, and he told that the owner called and that I could go back after I drove a little longer. Since I left the Squirrel Hill area and drove a good bit to do some errands, I figured I'd drive back down since that should put enough miles on the car for the test. It did not. I drove some more, and it still did not pass after 3 hours of driving around with no instructions from Halbleib's other than to Google it and figure it out myself. Their parting words were to call the seller and make him drive it around.I ultimately took it to another mechanic who drove it around to complete the drive cycle for me within 30 minutes of dropping it off. They also found that the brakes and routers were rusted out and needed replaced so it didn't pass the safety inspection. Halbleib's was ready and willing to put the safety inspection sticker on the car and send me on the road unsafely.

I got a car repaired through insurance here years ago. Returned recently after bumping back into the owner and it's still the same great place. They do really good body work when I had gotten my insurance repairs done here you couldn't tell the car had been in an accident. My most recent visit was for a state inspection. They had an opening in the schedule and got me done and back out in no time! 10/10 would recommend!

Reckless tow truck drivers like to do 90 and swerve through traffic in the liberty tunnel. Missing me and several others by inches. Stop hiring junkies

This was a terrible experience for me. I was charged $250.00 for towing my car less than 2 miles and my car was damaged from towing. I was charged storage fees for Saturday and Sunday even though his facility is closed on weekends. I had to pay $500 to get my car out of the facility and it was only there for two daysBecause they were closed on Saturday and Sunday. I think it is disgraceful to take advantage of people in this way. I have nothing good or positive to say about this business!!!!

This place has the most organized and knowledgeable professionals I've ever had the pleasure of being blessed to meet! The staff is very professional and aware of everything going on in their shop. I would give no stars if I could!!! My car sat for months due to part delays which is not against the shop, but while it sat there my vehicle had the license plate stolen off of it shop did not even realize, then didn t take the time to go through the video footage only to now find that an electronic that I knew was in the car, safely stowed away, was stolen from my vehicle upon return. I only used this shop because it was recommended from my insurance but WARNING I do not advise. Shady area. Poor communication. Lack of trust. Take your business elsewhere.

I had work done on my car about 4 years ago after being rear-ended and am still finding corners that were cut, used parts instead of new and shoddy workmanship. The latest thing discovered is the spoiler that has come loose. Apparently it was not replaced but putty was used to stick it to the car. Clips were broken and not out will cost me another $500 to fix this correctly. They sure had no problem charging my insurance for all the supposed new parts and time. Don t use them even if you get hit right in front of the place.Services: Painting, Body & Trim

These guys really know how to help you threw a stressful situation, not only did one of their trucks show up after being involved in an accident on 51 to help get us off the road and towed, they were able to get us into a rental vehicle while processing our paperwork with the insurance company. Within a week they had us back on the road and looking as good as new. We have since been back to use them for our other mechanical work after having such a great experience. I recently was in a car accident. I had my vehicle towed and they charged me $405 for less than 10 mile tow. On the way there I was told they had repair shop. Basically my experience with these people was horrible. From day 1 I was attempting to figure out status of my vehicle. I had management making comments about maybe I should have had full coverage insurance. 10 days later I found out the person who caused accident insurance was no good. I wanted them to look ay my vehicle to fix it. They basically acted like they were doing me a favor. So all told I spent over a $1000 for a tow, put my spare tire on, install a light assembly and beat out the running board so it wouldn't effect my tire. Also I ended up paying cash to save 11% since they charge 4% to use card and save 7% sales tax.Unsatisfied customer

Owner is a great, personable and knowledgeable guy. Great staff, they do quality work and give you fair prices. Always a busy place which means what they do they do it well. They offer many services they can do for automobiles and you wont be disappointed. Any needs or repairs you need done, i would surely give them a call first and then go from there. John is the owner and after meeting him for 30 seconds you will see what I mean. Keep up the great consistent work!

I have used Halbleib's multiple times over the years, their service is always quick and professional! When I got my car back after a fender bender it looked amazing (detailing my car inside and out), and they helped me renew my plates on the spot! They overcharged me, but on the other hand they were able to take me immediately and got the work done very quickly. So overall I was happy since I needed a quick work more than I needed cheap price.I'm going to call at some random time and ask for a quote on the phone and see if they quote me the same number as what they actually charged me. I'll update the review with the results.Edit: As promised I'm updating the review. Halbleib charged me $69.55 a year ago. Today Firestone charged me $29.99. For the exact same service. Clearly I got ripped off, but ... I needed immediate service, and they provided it, so I will leave this review at 4 stars.

I've been using Halbleib's for quite a few years, for insurance and private body work, and they do excellent work. On the rare occasion that something needed to be re-done, they corrected it without any disagreement. If you want a fancy, carpeted waiting area with coffee and tea, this is not your place; they are very plain, but they know their repair work like the back of their hand, and are very honest, nice people. It's family owned. They also have their own rental cars. If you don't want one that has been smoked in, you can ask. I won't use anyone else.

One of their drivers almost clipped the front end of my car last friday. I called and reported it. A gentleman answered I explained what had happen and the guy on the phone asked well did he hit you ? If I needed road side assistance I would never use them just my thoughts

I was in an accident and was advised by a PennDot safety patrol to call Halblieb for a tow, and they were there within half an hour mid rush hour. They were able to give me a ride to work after my crash, and coordinated well with AAA for me to get my car picked up. I was quickly given a quote for body work upon arrival, which I decided against, so from just a towing perspective I do recommend this place for their responsiveness.

Excellent service and very nice job fixing my son s vehicle. They worked with my insurance and I didn t have to do a thing. Any questions I had they always were able to answer. I brought my car here after hitting a deer! They took care of me right away. They talked to my insurance I didn t have to do anything. Took about a week and my car looks good as new! Highly recommend for all car services!! You won t be disappointed

I was in an accident and these guys are like ambulance chaser. They come out no where and towed my car. Like other reviewers I was told about the body shop they have on site. When I got home I got a phone from the owner. The man sounded like a car sells man. Telling me about how he could save me money. Pretty much promising me the world. Called the insurance company and they told me that this guy wasn t an approved shop. So I moved my car he charge my insurance 700.00 dollars just to release my car. He charge me 59 dollars just to call me and the other copay that is repairing my call then 200 for the two and 150 a day to hold the car. What a bunch of crooks. Stay away from this place

Recieved excellent service. Towed my car from a accident to the shop. Gave my self and my 3 family members who where in the car at the time of the accident a ride to the shop, where the quickly had a rental available for us. My car ended up being totaled out and when I had to return my rental to them, they even drove me home. Saving me 2 bus rides home. Awesome people!

I got into an accident and the whole right side of my car was smashed. From the very beginning Halbleib s was on it. They showed up at the scene at 11 o clock on a Friday night minutes after the accident. Although my car didn t need towed the driver was very helpful in assisting me at the scene. The very next day I brought my car to Halbleib s and was helped by Turk. He got me into a new rental and I was on my way. He kept me posted every step of the way and they even had someone drive my car to a location that I was able to pick it up after hours, because I was unable to make it during shop hours. They did a fantastic job on the body work and had it done in a timely fashion. I highly recommend Halbleib s automotive because they will take of all your automotive needs and do it right.

When I first bought an out of state rebuilt title vehicle I didn t realize the process for transferring title was going to be so complicated. Thy made the process of transferring an out of state rebuilt title so much easier for me. Thank you!!!

My boyfriend was involved in an accident on the West End Bridge a few weekends ago. The front end of his Ford F-150 took a big hit. My brother, Mike Orlic , is a towtruck driver so I of course called him and it so happens the tow company he works for also has an auto body shop. I m not sure if it s the same owner or it s another family member. Anyways, they had my boyfriend in a rental car that same day a took his truck in for repairs. Oh and the shop was closed at this time so someone actually had to take time out of their Sunday evening to come down to the shop to give us the rental. How cool are they?! They handled everything with the insurance and got the truck back to us in awesome shape and in a timely manner. I can t say enough great things about these guys. I will definitely recommend them to everyone I know!!
