Bob and them guys thereThey are the best mechanics out there and I m ready to bet , I took my 2500 Ram 2020 diesel to the dealership where I bought it from they couldn t fix it .Here s bob told me I m not giving up on your truck I ll fix it and he DID .They are the best transmissions shop and I can t thank them enough .

I was on vacation about 900 miles from home when my transmission went out on my 88k mile Ford Escape. Called a dealer who said he couldn't even look at it for another week and it would be two weeks before he could start it. Gillece Transmissions was recommended to me and I gave them a call. They said they could bring it in the shop that day and would let me know what they found. I had my car towed there and then, later in the day, followed up with a visit. They had it up on the rack with parts off of it and ready to tell me what they found. They gave me a range for the cost and a time of about one week to fix. Their price came in at the middle of their range and the service was done on time. They were professional, accurate, and very sympathetic towards my needs as a vacationing individual. Upon picking it up, I immediately started the 900 mile trip back home. I arrived with no problems and feel very confident in the job they did. But if I ever had other work needed to be done, I would not hesitate to use them again. They are good. Now, if you will excuse me, I have to go write a review on the reliability of Ford Escapes. ;-).Service: Transmission

I had my car towed to the Pittsburgh location on Thursday night and they fixed the car the next day. Bob found the obsolete part for my 2008 Saturn and got it installed within 24-hours....FIRST CLASS JOB...John

Maureen is wonderful on the phones, and Bob is exceptionally nice, too! Everyone there seems to be on my team, and I completely trust them! He did a patch job on my transmission for cheap, and I have gone back twice now to have it checked, both free of charge, and it s still holding up well! Would completely recommend. As enjoyable of a transmission experience as I could ask for!

I want to give big props to Bob and everyone else at Gillece Transmissions on Saw Mill Run Blvd. I have taken my F-150 to their shop on two occasions. The first time, they were able to change my torque converter and seals in a very timely fashion for a very fair price. A little more than a year later, I was due for a transmission overhaul. Price as promised and again in great time, they returned to me what felt like a new truck. They advised me about upgraded parts and took the time to ask what type of work and conditions I would be using the vehicle for.Finally and possibly most important, when I went back for my 15 day check up, I was having some unrelated issues with my engine. Bob took the time at NO charge to advise and troubleshoot some of these problems. Long story- short I left their shop with no electronic codes and a great running truck. I'm a very happy customer and if needed, I will be headed back there for their exception service and attitude. Thanks again!

Gillece Transmission did an excellent job for Mark Allen Plumbing & Heating when my heating van broke down.They found the problem quickly and was very informative when explaining the problem to us. They gave us a very reasonable price, we approved the work, and they replaced the transmission. I was back in service in two days. Excellent work, great customer service!

They did a phenomenal job repairing the transmission on my rare sports car. Better than any dealer could have ever done and for a whole lot less. They explained everything along the way and allowed me to inspect the damage and came up with clever solutions that saved lots of money. They know Transmissions and paid attention to every detail...They have a great staff from the owner to the mechanics to the customer service people. While no one looks forward to car repairs...when you need something done on your car and want to know it's done right this is the place to go... 5 Stars...6 if they would let me!

Waited to make this review and almost 2 years after I had my car serviced it is still running smoothly. Transmission was slipping and I was prepared for the worst. They ran some diagnostics and were upfront about what was wrong, the timeline, and the cost. Ended up not needing to replace transmission to my delight. Highly recommend!Service: Transmission

Gillece Transmissions did a great job on my car. I had my car's transmission literally explode on me on Thanksgiving night. I had the car towed to my regular mechanic who wouldn't touch the transmission, so I called Gillece. Jim Gillece went down to my mechanic, towed the car back to Gillece, and they quoted me a price after evaluating the transmission. The price was fair given that they were rebuilding a literally blown transmission, and they did the work quickly and updated me every step of the way. Highly recommended.

Told my husband that it would cost $800 to change out torque converter and transmission but then after he got in to the repairs it could cost upwards of $3,500 or more because there COULD be a lot more issues he can't see yet. With such an open estimate we got a second opinion at Cottman and got an honest estimate of $1,500 total - no open estimate so we didn't know if it was going to cost $800 or $4,000! Ridiculous, we'll NEVER take any vehicles there again and neither will any family or friends. I understand that once they start repairs more problems could arise, but a price difference of $800-$4,000 is HUGE and we couldn't take that risk.

Excellent job fixing my car and was way more affordable than I thought it would be. I spoke with Rob on the phone and in person when I brought my car to the shop. He was able to explain to me what was done and showed interest in my specific problem. thank you

Caught Gillece (Bob) trying to rip me off for over $1600.00. I was having an issue with my clutch, and the problem was either a $100 repair (master cylinder) or a $1600 repair (internal slave). Gillece quoted me for the $1600 dollar repair, and GAURENTEED it was not the 100 dollar repair and then went on to describe how it was impossible to be the master cylinder. They tried to push me into the $1600 repair. I picked my car up and replaced the master cylinder in my driveway for $115 dollars, despite Bob saying there was "no way" and impossible that the problem was the master. Car hasn't had an issue in months, with me putting thousands of miles on it. Complete theives and will lie to sell u costly repairs u do not need, usually the most expensive thing possible

Got a "rebuild" after having to supply a whole other used automatic transmission along with the one that was in the car. Back for numerous complaints, driveability issues, shift flare, the unit made it 24000 miles and was completely undriveable. It appears they took the used transmission put some paint on it, ran some tests on the dyno and put it in my car. So $2,200 plus a used transmission, I supplied my own filter fluid and transmission cooler at my expense. I'm back to where I started. But that's not all that happened. Jim offered to rebuild it again out of warranty I got it back and sold the car. The transmission failed in 1750 miles again. Complete clutch failure. the new owner refused to pay the remaining portion of what he owed me and for good reason I can't blame him. Bob was furious and completely unprofessional. I actually got the transmission back and disassembled it partially. It appears as though that it was deliberately sabotaged so it would only last a short period of time. Missing bolts loose bolts internally. Do yourself a favor and take a chance with a used transmission if you can get one.

1965 Corvette CoupeWhen all the Local "Corvette Shops" tell you they are too busy to work on your Muncie 4 Speed M20 transmission, call Rob at Gillece Transmission's Bethel Park Location. Transmission rebuild, leaks, Clutch, Throw out Bearing, Pressure Plate, Yoke, and Transmission mounts to get rid of those annoying vibrations.. Rob will do only the work needed for you, the Customer....Thanks Rob, very pleased with the work and the price......

Exellent company to deal with.There billet race convertor is a work of art.Jim communicated with me more than any other company I have dealt with in the past ,and he made my drag car faster by building me an awesome converter at a very reasonable price.If you are looking for a awesome converter at a very reasonable price hands down Gillece Transmission is the place for you.
