I recently bought a 90s Mercedes S-Class to have a toy to drive this spring and summer. I knew it needed a few things like a water pump, a fuel issue addressed and other miscellaneous items. Finding someone to work on classic Mercedes in Pittsburgh is rough - finding someone who knows their stuff and is honest is even harder. I called Garrett and explained my issues and he gave me a time to bring it in. a couple days later he let me know what it needed and what it would cost. It was done within days and for all the work I had done, it was a great turn around time. He also takes the time to explain how this goes wrong or why this is the way it is or why it s important or not important to replace something. Reasonable prices, knowledgeable guy. Recommend. 10/10!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Engine repair, Oil change

I can t speak to his mechanical work, but I can speak to his helpfulness and honesty. I came by to drop my Smart car off because the guys at Valvoline told me I had an oil leak and a transmission fluid leak. He stuck his head under, told me there wasn t any transmission fluid leak, that the oil leak repair would require pulling out my engine, and also that as long as I top off the oil as needed, it ll last me another 20k miles before I need to drop the cash for that project or sell the car. It was a great experience, and I ll certainly be back whenever I do in fact need to get work or diagnostics done.

Garrett is very knowledgeable with MB vehicles, he did find a problem and suggested what should be done to repair it. However, he went ahead and performed other related repairs without a call to me first to let me know exactly how much $$$ it was going to be. I do appreciate all that, but a call ahead before I get stuffed with a $900 bill would be the right thing to do in any business. In an automotive business you do a diagnosis first, write up an estimate, call the customer with an estimate and a clear dollar figure of how much the repair will be.Customer has the right to refuse to pay for repairs that were not authorized. Some of those repairs were already done literally a week prior to bringing the car to him, and not really needed to be done again. Also I made sure the car was clean inside out before I brought the car to him, just out of my respect to a fellow mechanic, just because I work in the same field and hate when a car comes in smelling like wet dogs and trash everywhere. I Picked up the car from his garage with 2 grease stains on the drivers seat , a dirty boot print on my passenger carpet and battery tray cover tossed to the side in my trunk, and this is in an S Class Mercedes. Also he is the type of person that will talk AT you, and not TO you, and when I finally had an opportunity to ask a question, his phone rang and he picked it up ignoring my question completely. I stood in the parking lot like an idiot and just paid my $900 bill and left. This is just an honest first impression, but thanks anyway.Service: Transmission

Garrett is friendly and very knowledgable in regards to MB engines and chassis. Unfortunately, he WILL NOT call ahead to inform you the potential repairs he is going to do and the estimate.I asked him to flush my transmission and take a look at my engine. "If you see anything that could use a preventative maintenance call me", I said. About 5 hours later, he called me to inform me that the work is done and the bill is $1,200. He changed a bunch of the timing components near the engine without informing me. I was not looking to get those swapped since they were not broken, and those parts with labor cost me $700.He did a good service and was understanding. Those preventative maintenances were also nice. But he could have called ahead.Services: Transmission, General repairs & maintenance, Oil change

Garrett is extremely knowledgeable regarding Mercedes vehicles both old and new. Pricing for services is very fair, and work is done quickly and thoroughly. Aside from completing the requested services, I was given a number of tips on preventative maintenance and problem areas to watch out for, which is much appreciated. If you have a Mercedes-Benz and want fair, honest service, I d highly recommend working with Garrett!

Gave him my car bc it was stalling, my total approximately 2k and still got my car back stalling he does the work money was all he was worried about doesn't really care about customer satisfaction. Slapping parts on but not actually trying to find the issue is a problem then took it back to him and said it'd be another 1600$ to fix my stalling issue. I brought my car there in the first place to get that fixed never again and his communication is horrible its like your bothering him when all your trying to do is check on your vehicle, not satisfied at all. And found out later i have a blown headgasket and he couldnt tell it was blown instead kept trying milk for money never again SMH.Service: Auto maintenance

Garrett went out of his way to help me fix the misaligned grill on my car after someone backed into me. I was upset about the situation and he was extremely kind and professional. His knowledge of German cars, especially Mercedes seems to be unparalleled. If you have a Mercedes have it repaired by Garrett.

Garrett spent an hour helping me diagnose the problem with my Sprinter - and he can't work on it because it's too big for his bay! He went out of his way to help for free on a job he won't get paid for. Highly recommended.
