I've been bringing my car to Kernicks for years. They're always polite, communicate well, and are quick. I moved a few years ago and still bring my car here even though it's not as close to me as other mechanics. Absolutely worth it.

Stop in because my tire was flat. At first, they didn't have my tire size. But they were super nice about it. They worked their magic and got me one in 30 min. Everyone was so nice.

Can not thank them enough ... Stopped by in an emergency situation ... They diagnosed , fixed , and we were on our way within the hour. Also , at a fair price. I will be sure to give them my auto business in the future. I urge you if you live in the area , and in need of service , tires, etc ... The staff here is always accommodating and pleasant to work with. Instead of scheduling an appointment time on a specific day, it s convenient to be able to drop my car off at the shop before work, pay over the phone and pickup my car after hours with no issues. They are generally very flexible with scheduling like this. I ve had no issues with this shop and I will continue to use them!Service: Vehicle Inspection

For me, going to the mechanic has always come with a great deal of anxiety. Living paycheck to paycheck combined with having a general lack of automotive knowledge has resulted in some rather unpleasant experiences with other local auto shops. So when I read about Kernick Auto's mission statement pledging to be honest and straightforward in their approach no matter the situation, I was intrigued enough to go to them for brake repairs.This was, without a doubt, the best decision I could have made for my car. Their prices are more reasonable than everyone else I contacted for a quote, they explained everything I needed to know about my car with the same thoroughness and honesty I was hoping for and they got all the repairs done in a little over an hour. I've since been back for my yearly inspection and had the same wonderful experience there, too. Now I can't imagine taking my car anywhere else to be serviced besides Kernick, so definitely give these guys a shot!Services: Tire rotations, Vehicle Inspection, Brakes

The most honest thorough place to take your vehicle. The added bonus...the employees are friendly and helpful! I moved to Plum 2 years ago and I will continue to drive the distance to ensure peace of mind! Highly recommend this place!!

They were very polite and personable. Their prices are great and the work is done right. As a women who has been taken to the cleaners, by a few garages.This is a welcome change and will be my go to garage for everything.

Took my car in to get a tire repaired. They quoted $23. When they called to say it was ready the price had increased to over $80. They said the lug nuts were bad and they had to be replaced. i asked that if they were going to triple the cost, why didn't they contact me before. I was told the lug nuts were difficult to get off and they couldn't put them back on. Then I was told they could 'put my car up on blocks' and I could come and get it and the tire. While on the way there I received a call and was told that they could put 2 of the lug nuts back on so the price would be $20 cheaper - but still nearly 3 times the original estimate. If a customer is quoted a certain amount, contact them BEFORE you triple the price. And offering to place a car on blocks and leaving it outside is beyond unprofessional. Plus, the 'new' lug nuts were not new. I try to go local to avoid chains but I would not recommend this location unless you specify that they call you for any additional work before they do it. I can understand the lug nuts being difficult to put back on, but the name of their company has the word 'tire' in it. So if they were hard to get off, they knew they would be difficult or impossible to put back on. They should have contacted me after the first or second lug nut was removed to let me know of the potential new charges. And $10 per lug nut is just about highway robbery.

We have been taking our cars here for over 30 years. After my husband passed away, I knew I could trust them to be honest and fair with everything they did for me. They continue to take care of not only my car but also my daughter's. Thanks for the many years of great service!

Been here a few times for minor things; inspection, oil change, etc. Had rear brakes and calipers changed. Price was reasonable, they even gave me a ride back to the office. I would recommend giving them a chance.

Got car inspected. Called for appt. Was given one for next day. Friendly . My only complaint they over charged me for tire. I had purchased 2 front tires 2wks prior from Wal-Mart 47.00 each I was charged 72.00 for same brand.

Took my truck in for work which involved a wheel alignment. I was charged for an alignment that was never performed. I got the truck back and the front end had so much positive camber you could visibly see it. When confronted they refused to rectify the alignment issue insisting that they aligned it while also agreeing that the camber was never adjusted, they never attempted to adjust, and also acknowledged that it could be brought into spec. They realigned the vehicle and charged me another $155 to do so which was more than the original alignment. The charge is for adjust caster and camber for alignment . This work was literally spraying penetrating oil on the upper control arm nuts and loosening them.Jim was rude and vulgar while dealing with the issue.Buyer beware. They charge for work not performed then charge more to complete work already paid for

I had my car service and they did an excellent job.They was very professional,kind,understanding and price was valuable.I hve a 300c and needed spark plugs changed and also slow leak in one of my tires.They replaced my plugs and I had to replace the tire.They order my tire and had it shipped the next day and temporary fixd the damage tire until my new tire came in.The price was very low for new tire and also spark plugs.Also,as i waited there,they bought lunch for me.There customer service was amazing.The pricing was good and Real good quality work.They are the mechanics i trust with my car.I would recommend them.

James Kernick Jr is a surgeon with cars.No I mean that.A literal actual surgeon..... with cars.He turned me into a car.With surgery.I'm a transformer now.Awesome.
