I highly recommend Mike a true professional, fixed my back brakes within a day; a super timely manner.Best in brakes in the whole city in my opinion will becoming back for any other brake needs in the future super grateful:)

I am giving it 1 star because when I went there the shop wasn t open. I saw on the website it s say open . I wasted my time getting there. Very bad.

Mike was awesome! Had my truck for a while but did what other shops couldn't and got me back on the road! Will definitely be going back if any other vehicle issues and telling a friend to tell a friend

Great people working here that don t try to rip you off. They re hundreds of dollars cheaper than anywhere else in the city. Only complaint is that it s in a bad location with no public transit nearby for when you drop off your car. But overall highly recommend!

This place is great. I came here because of the reviews. I had a flex pipe with a hole in it. I scheduled my appointment a week out because they are busy, that's a good sign that they do good work. I arrived promptly for my Saturday appointment and my car was immediately take in to be diagnosed. They quickly came out and quoted me a reasonable price for a new flex pipe. I gave the ok and was out of there in an hour total. These guys are professional, prompt and the work done was great. I would definitely come back.

Went there on a busy Saturday to have a bearings pressed last minute and they were able to squeeze me in. Super friendly and professional. I highly recommend them.

Excellent work and service. I have been going to this place since they opened in 1989. Mike the co-owner and mechanic is a very good mechanic. I would highly recommend this place to get work done on your car. Every car that I owned had work done there. The prices for work done is reasonable. Rick co-owner is a good service manager. My father first went there in 1989 when they first opened and was very satisfied and told me to take my car there and I have been going there ever since. Jeff and Bob are very good mechanics also.

I have brought two separate vehicles here for two separate needs and each time I have been blown away by their professionalism. They are trustworthy, proficient, and properly priced. For my car inspection I needed rear brakes and rotors, after three phone calls for pricing Dependable was the lowest. They offer no loaner vehicle but the job was done under 3 hours. I chose to drop off car as waiting room very small and typical for independent shop. I've been going here for brake jobs many times over the years with my vehicles. They know how to do brakes!!

Went to have an intoxalock removed but could not wait there until it was done. Just a drop off is what they say. So have bus fare ready when you drop your car off there. That's weird to me idk js.

Scheduled appt to chk engine light checked. Took my car right away. Within 10 mins had diagnosed issue and scheduled service for a few days from now! Love these guys. Always very reasonable labor costs..honest work! Would highlyrecommend to anyone!

I first took my Jeep wrangler here to have them replace the headers on the engine will I was away for 2 weeks for work. They had it fixed in 2 days, I paid over the phone, and they kept my keep secure in their locked fenced area till i returned home.Today i took my BMW to them to have some custom exhaust work done for dual exhaust. Its very tightly package under my BMW and what i wanted to do required some creative fabricating. Was done in a day and Priced below what they quoted!Ask for Mike and you will not be disappointed!

I trust this place because they do not try to get over on you. They are honest in diagnosing the issue and charging a fair price. All 3 of our cars have been going here for years 350Benz, 530xi BMW, and Dodge Charger. I'm a researcher so when I have a problem I go on the brand forums, YouTube, and etc. Until I can get in the shop by the time my car is seen I have a general idea of the issue and how much it should cost. Each time I am fairly close and each time Dependable exceeds my expectations. No one likes having unexpected expenses with car issues but having a business you can trust makes it easier. Thanks so much for your integrity

I took my car here following an insepection at NTB where i was told to replace rear shocks and wanted to charge me almost $800. I said "no thanks" and took it to Dependable Brakes. The technician test drove the car and then performed a THOROUGH inspection of the shocks and suspension - and told me there's no leak and that I should be fine and not to waste my money. NO CHARGE and they must've spent 20 mins on the car. I LOVE this place!!! Honest, reliable, and experts at what they do. I will definitely be back!

I had an appointment scheduled for today. I got there to drop my car off and no one helped me, instead I was ignored. I tried calling the place, but no one answered even though they were clearly in there. I would not recommend this spot to anyone.

The only reason I give this place one star is because Google won't let me give zero or negative stars. Hands down the worst and most incompetent mechanics I have ever experienced. Took my car in for inspection with my car running fine and I get a call from them saying my car won't start and the engine is dead. In shock because i dropped off a car which is getting a little older but had always been dependable and ran well and was being told the engine was dead. Went back to the car the next day before I was going to get it towed to a competent garage I decided to try and jump it. When I did noticed the mount of the battery was off and a wire was loose. So made those minor adjustment, as a guy who has very little experience or mechanical knowledge and it started right up. I have no idea how professionals can come to such an extreme conclusion when the problem was a simple issue with the battery. Not quite sure if they're crooks or just idiots. Needless to say I would never recommend this place and will never go back.

Loved their service both the times!! As the name suggests, they are really dependable!! First the flex pipe for my 1999 Nissan Sentra was broken and they fixed it in a couple of days for just $120. Other mechanics in Pittsburgh didn't even know where to get the part from as it is a pretty old car. Second, they also passed the inspection of my same car that Firestone guys rejected to pass quoting me a ridiculous $1300 bill to get the inspection passed. Thanks guys for always being professional and for your good customer service. I would definitely go back to them and they would be my first and foremost mechanics before doing anything with my car.

I've come to these guys three different times and almost always last minute. They've made so many accommodations for my ridiculously modified car and they're always upfront about it. They squeeze you in if they can and they're quick about their work. They also go above and beyond to answer any questions you might have and have helped me fix a few minor things as well.

Great Service. Found an small exhaust leak in my piping while installing a muffler & took care of it at no extra charge. Just the type of muffler shop I've been looking for since 2016! Glad I've found it!

Took my car elsewhere for a second opinion this garage Larrys in pleasant hills passed my car for inspection telling me there was nothing wrong with the car and they were pretty much taking advantage of me. Dependable told me several things where wrong with it...and that wasn't the case at all. I now have parts I am stuck with and out alot of money because they tried to rip me off.
