Highly, highly recommended. Our brakes suddenly failed while we were traveling out-of-state. I contacted Dave McCauley and he repaired our vehicle the very same day at a very fair and reasonable price. (One of the rear brake calipers had actually fallen off!). Dave diagnosed and explained exactly what had happened to our car and was precise in estimating the costs of repair. He was very fair with the price knowing that this was an emergency repair and that we were from out-of-state. Dave is a man of integrity.

I am so lucky that my regular auto shop I go to couldn t get me in. (They ve been shady anyway and been wanting to switch) coming from a small town and being used to auto shops that are honest and friends of the family, to the city where you feel nobody is honest and just tip you off, has been hard. I feel like I ve finally found the place I can trust to bring my car into. My husband also will be switching his business here as well. Dave was amazing and got me in right away to do a diagnostic and I am so grateful. Best customer service I ve received in this city from all the auto shops I have tried.

I looked like a kid coming in and was in a vulnerable spot being stuck with my car unable to get me home back up the interstate. Prime to be taken advantage of. Was nervous all weekend about going to some new garage and being able to even get in my car in a reasonable time due to circumstances.What I received from Dave was honesty and straightforwardness I was not getting elsewhere, not only did he fix my car so I could get home there are more codes cleared. I never felt like I got a bunch of extras done or stuff sold I didn t actually need. A rare real one.

I had a great experience getting my car inspected at Dave s. He was able to get me an appointment quickly, he was very professional and kind, and I was very pleased with his fair pricing. I will definitely be going here for any car needs in the future!

I call Dave McCauley - Doctor McCauley because he is the best mechanic that I have been associated with!! He is honest and simply fantastic!! needed my exhaust fixed and only have one car. Dave made arrangements so I could drop it in the morning and have it back by the afternoon. very fair and honest. I think I found a new mechanic!

Out-of-stater here! Came to Dave this Monday morning right as the shop opened. Needed help quickly to replace a broken tire valve in order to get on the road again back to DC. Dave helped us right away, and we were back on the road with calibrated tires in 30 minutes. He also gave us great advice about the kinds of valves to buy, and why ours had failed in the first place. Real stand-up guy.

I brought my 2014 Chevy spark in cause I was having transmission problems and instead of going ahead and doing the work and making money for himself he sent me info that my car had a recall on the transmission and to check in on that I did and got my transmission done for absolutely nothing. I don t usually write reviews but someone this honest deserves the good review I mean shoot he saved me over 5,000 dollars this is the least I can do!Services: Transmission, General repairs & maintenance

Highly recommend Dave McCauley auto repair. Honest and excellent service! I used to work on my own cars and took our Lincoln navigator in for brake work years ago, and Dave said the front calipers needed replaced. When I came to pick it up Dave told me he didn't have to replace them the wear adjuster slides just needed lubed. I knew from that day forward he does all my auto repairs! Very honest.

I decided to try this mechanic for a weird noise my car was making after my usual place started to charge a $95 diagnostic fee just for showing up at the appointment. Very close to home. He was able to take me that day, but I wouldn't expect that, he's usually very busy. He was very knowledgeable and fixed my issue amazingly fast. Price was on target. I would definitely recommend!

Quick, Professional, courteous service. I called ahead, got the Emissions and inspection done in 45 minutes - as estimated. They switched the out of state plates too for me. 5 stars.

Dave was really kind and good at explaining everything that was going on with our vehicle while it was in the shop. He kept me constantly informed and was honest about every detail, even showed us the old parts he had to change when we picked up the vehicle so we could see exactly what was wrong. This was our first time using this shop and we'll definitely continue to do so. They know their stuff!

Had exhaust manifolds on my RAM replaced due to common warping issue on these vehicles. This shop has the proper equipment and experience to handle this type of project with ease. I was hesitant to use someone I had no prior experience with but now will highly recommend Dave and his shop to anyone with a similar issue.

I rarely write reviews but felt it necessary this time. Been taking my vehicles to Dave for a couple years now and find him to be honest, reasonably priced and knowledgeable. Recently Dave put new tires on my truck. During the process the machine scratched a portion of the rims. When brought to Dave's attention I wasn't sure what response I'd get. Contrary to other mechanics I've dealt with, he immediately took responsibility and ordered replacement parts for the rims at his cost. Obviously he wasn't happy about losing the money but smart and honest enough to not lose a customer as well. Might have cost him a few hundred but bought him a lifelong customer who will spread the word to others. Predicting Dave will need a bigger shop and more employees as his customer base will continue to expand. Thanks for the honesty and responsibility Dave it's becoming a rare quality!

I highly recommend Dave McCauley Automotive. Dave and his staff worked within my budget and provided service that was above and beyond other automotive services I have used in the past. My vehicle was finished in a timely manner and I couldn't have been more pleased. I will not hesitant to refer friends and family. Thank you, Dave and crew!!

As a female and being new to the town. I was hesitant about taking my car anywhere for inspection. Dave was able to get my car inspected real quick and didn t give any issues. The receptionist was also super friendly.Plus, the inspection was a good price.I d take my car to get inspected again there.

As I was stuck on the side of a busy road waiting for AAA to arrive (on a Sunday), I started looking for nearby garages. The reviews for Dave McCauley Automotive weren't wrong. When I called, Dave answered the phone (again, on a Sunday) and was willing to meet me at the garage to determine the severity of my issue. He diagnosed the issue quickly, and was able to repair the issue the next morning. I was traveling through Pittsburgh, and they had me back on the road the next afternoon. They were absolutely amazing! Highly recommend them.

Had a drivability issue with my acura and a co-worker who is a mechanic as well, told me this was the only garage he trusted to work on his truck. So it was a late night and i had to drop it off. Packed parking lot so I knew it was going to be a while before they were able to look at it. 2 days later, they called me up and said the car was ready to pick up. I ll be back for state inspections and will recommend this place to family members etc. Thank you!

Washington Road Automotive is the most honest mechanic I have found to date. It is not easy to find a place to take your car where you know that the guys working on your vehicle are there to help you and not just trying to make money. The turn around to get your vehicle inspected or repaired is very quick and the price is always right. I have actually taken my car there to be repaired and they took a look at it and told me that it was not bad and fixed the problem real quick without charging me. This is what I mean by honest, if its a minor problem that they can fix in 5 minutes, they will tell you that. I always feel very comfortable taking my car to them because I know that they are good hardworking people and very kind. They also tow vehicles if you would need them to do that. Do not be leery of taking your car to them, they are good people.

Took a vehicle in to have the engine replaced under an aftermarket warranty.This particular suv and engine combo is notoriously denied service by the most seasoned veterans.When all the others said no,Dave said no problem.He did all negotiating with the warranty company,contacted me to let me know I was getting a replacement engine.I stopped by a few days later to see if they had received the engine yet and upon asking for Dave I was told that he was out road testing my vehicle and the engine swap was done except for testing and tuning.being in business myself for over forty years I m always looking at others business practices.From my first time seeing his operation to the outcome of this project I m very satisfied with his practice.I do most of my own work on my fleet due to the fact that finding a shop like this is very rare.I would have no reservations unloading my work here.Thanks Dave and crew, Rudy Dipasquale

Hands down best mechanic around! I used to do all my own work so i know if a mechanic is good and honest and Dave is both. Example: took my wifes navigator in for brake work he said the front brake calipers needed replaced and when i went to pick it up he said the adjustment sliders only needed cleaned and lubricated! And he always is willing to show me all the old parts to explain why they needed replaced. It's a very good feeling taking my vehicles to Dave knowing i will get quality work done with true honesty. He even works on my big box truck. Wished he worked on airplanes! I highly recommend him.

The only place I'll take my cars in Pittsburgh. Dave is honest, trustworthy, and always goes the extra mile. One of the best mechanics I've ever done business with. Always tells me what needs done and how much it'll be up front. The receptionist is very friendly and is great at relaying information. I highly recommend Dave and his staff.

I had a brake pad and rotor replacement done for my 2013 Accord Lx at Dave McCauley's automotive. It was due repair. They did a fantastic job, the drive was smooth and I could feel the difference in my brakes. My A/C compressor was also making a noise and the bearing in it went bad. They ordered a new compressor and Replaced it. The work was done well. Overall I believe the prices are reasonable compared to Dealer Service and they offer a 12,000 mile/1 year warranty. They are very transparent and show you the trouble with any components.

Dave is great, 100% honest and fair at all times. It s very hard to find an honest mechanic. We take all of our cars (personal/company) here and only here.
