I can t say enough good things about every single person at Calfo s Auto. I have been taking my cars to them for almost 8 years now. So many other shops I have been to talk down to me or try to lie and scam. You will get NONE of this from anyone at Calfo s. They communicate well and answer any possible questions you may have. Recently, I was in a fender bender and had to get some body work done. They could not have been more amazing helping with insurance. Even though my car is 11 years old they matched the paint perfectly and it honestly looks better than the day I bought it. I will never take my cars anywhere else and cannot recommend them enough to anyone in the Pittsburgh area.

Extremely unprofessional, Rip off, be careful!!My car s mirror got damaged while I was out of town and one of my friends took it to Calfo s to get it fixed. They said they need to order the part and will call once the new mirror arrives. After several weeks of silence from them, and several calls from my friend and me to figure out what s going on, I was told the mirror has arrived. When I went to pick the part, the first thing Regis, the owner, told me was that I had to pay an extra $21 because he forgot to collect taxes from my friend, which was not true, I even had the receipt to prove it. He told me that he couldn t find his copy of the original receipt and had to see MY receipt to verify the price.I took the mirror home to install it myself, just to discover that the wrong part was ordered. I called to the shop and explained that the correct mirror for my car has a very different wiring connector and there is no way I can use the mirror they gave me. This was clearly a mistake on their part because they had the car with the VIN number, and it was their job to order the correct mirror for me.They told me that they can order the correct one if I pay the price difference AND the return fees! They charged me $300 dollars for the incorrect mirror, and, when I checked the aftermarket company they ordered the mirror from, the price was only $100.25!Regis acted so agitated and aggressive towards me, acting as if it was absurd that I would need the correct part for my car. He told me that he needed some time to check price for the correct mirror, but when I called the next day, he was not available. He wasn t available a few days later when I came to return the old mirror either. After several more calls and days, I returned only for him to tell me that I need to pay $25 for the return fees. He said that he has to run his business and needs to make money one way or another, so if I don t pay the return fees, he won t process the return at all. After I agreed, it took him 30 minutes to process the return, all while mumbling under his breath and visually angry.Don t trust this place, they will rip you off. Regis is unprofessional and hostile and absolutely does not have his customer s interests at heart.

This place is more of a drop and go. They don t have an area for y all to sit and be cozy like at those dealerships, but for the price and service at Calfo s, it s worth leaving your car there and come back.

They fixed my passenger side mirror which gave them trouble. The one star review is not for that but the way they handled it. Details below.-The fix they did left my backup camera not working. Despite me telling them it would need calibrated. They didn t catch this before giving me the car. I checked in the parking lot before leaving-My initial offer to go to a dealership was shut down by them.-they had no idea how to calibrate the camera and were wasting my time trying to figure it out. I had to come back three separate times for them to try and fix it.-personally heard the owner make disparaging remarks about a customers ethnicity after hanging up the phone with them.

As usual I've never been disappointed. They are customer understanding. They "get the customer" a very much dying Comoddity. Mind you they also look the hardest to save you the most as well. Something very rare. Honest, quality work, and superb customer interaction. Will always try come here where possible. I've been a long standing customer since 2008 to current 2016+ My devotion proves and is a testament to their Excellance

Most genuine and honest people. I absolutely trust them with any issues I'm having with my car and know I'm in good hands. They're always sure to call you before starting any repairs to let you know what's wrong, what they recommend, and what it will cost. I even convinced my partner to leave his car repair shop and to start going to Calfo's.

The best shop I ve been to. Calfo s is trustworthy, efficient, affordable, and knowledgeable on all things automotive. Quick and smooth process to get two tires replaced. So happy I chose to take my daughter s car there when her alternator went. I am 4 hours away and these guys were great to work with! Fantastic shop, my in-laws have had a lot of their cars serviced here for years. I ve dealt with them a few times recently and can t say enough good things! Good work, some of the best prices I ve seen from any shop, accommodating, and very friendly up front service from everyone there. Always good to find a local shop that s honest up front with repairs/ parts needed and the time to do so.

I am from Ohio and we LOVE driving. Let me tell ya.As a motorist from Ohio, I experience my fair share of automotive disappointments. I ll have car trouble and say Dang and then immediately YouTube the opening race sequence from the first Fast and Furious. That always gets my spirits up.Here s another thing that gets my spirits up: Calfo s. The best automotive service in Pittsburgh. Hands down.Fair on pricing. Timely service. Professional. And sometimes I get so excited to see them that I ll just talk (incoherent babbling) and they never interrupt. Always just let me go through and say what I gotta say. Yep, I love a good radiator. Ever been to this cool coffee shop? Hello! They re such good listeners and v nice people. Thank you Calfo s. Terrible service! Learn from my nightmare and go elsewhere. I've come to calfos for 4 years whenever my car (2013 fusion) had any problems. I recently bring car in for faulty sensor then immediately need to come back 2 days later for broken water pump. After 1 week of no contract , I call to check status and am informed that while repairing water pump, car was damaged by mechanic and in need of further repair. I'm no mechanic so they said something about timing belt slipping and causing damage but either way they said they would repair. I express concern with damage, that I want it inspected elsewhere, and they say they will stand by their work. I request written copy of damage. Again a week passes with no communication. I contact and they say now the driver door is having a problem closing. They ask if I have had any problems in past and when I say no, mechanic says, "figured you'd say that" insinuating in hiding something??? I say this is pretty wild and mechanic response with "I never want to see this car again". Like this is my fault? I finally pick up car and due to a death in the family my brain is fuzzy and i don't ask for list of damage at pick up. Now here we are, within a month of damage, car is unable to drive. I call 3 times and request written copy of damage and work performed. Keep being put off. I'm currently sitting in their office waiting for written list. They say it may be an hour. Please save yourself from an awful experience and go anywhere else!Service: Engine repair

These guys are the best. They re honest, upfront and do great work, everything you d hope for in a great mechanic. They made the effort to get to know me and my vehicles, which is a rarity these days. If I wasn t moving out of town I d be a life long customer. Just a genuinely good shop to deal with. They do good work, and clear explanations about their diagnostics/recommendations. The supply chain has everything scarce and delayed but they're able to locate and source top quality parts and have them quickly.

Needed brake replacement ASAP. Called the shop at 7:00 & my car was ready at 12:30! Never expected to be done so fast esp with them just adding me in! Beyond pleased with the staff...they were friendly, professional & overall awesome. They definitely have a new repeat customer in me. Thank you, Mr. Calfo & Staff!!!

Very upfront, honest individuals! They take the time to educate you on your own car and help you find the best cost. One thing I look for with car maintenance is honesty. Anyone can say you need thousands of dollars worked on your car but are they being honest? Such a great quality business. I suggest all my friends and families to this business!Service: Brakes

I brought my car in here after Pep Boys tried to screw me over and they were great! They didn't BS me at all or try to charge me for things that I didn't need. They did a good job making sure my car was all good and were very reasonably priced. The workers were kind and I'd definitely recommend supporting this small local business!

My husband and I have been taking our cars to Calfo s since we moved to Greenfield a few years ago. Prior to the move I had always taken my car to a friend of the family mechanic. After taking my car to my dads best friend most of my adult life I was concerned that finding a new mechanic would be difficult. I searched the Pittsburgh area for a business that was described as honest and fair providing quality service. This was the first auto service I called and from the moment I spoke to Rege & his team I truly felt like I was still interacting with a good family friend. I can not say enough great things about this business and the people who work so hard to provide great service. They are absolutely amazing. We are moving to NYC soon but I will continue to have my car serviced here when I m in town to visit family, it s worth it!Services: Tires, General repairs & maintenance, Battery, Oil change

I drove from DC to Pittsburgh and had some car trouble on the way. Being in a new area, I had no idea where to take my car. The first place I went to told me I needed both axle boots replaced and wanted to charge me $800+ for this. I left there after seeing the reviews for Calfo's. They immediately looked at my car and said I didn't need both axle boots replaced and that it would be better to get the axle replaced on one side rather than just the boot. (I may not be explaining this right). At any rate, my point is that they showed me the component that was messed up and explained the recommendation. I ended up only spending around $300 and my car had a smooth ride back to DC. I appreciate having car service that does not feel like I am being taken for a ride. Everyone was friendly and the work was done quickly. If I end up relocating to Pittsburgh, this would be the only place I ever take my car. Thanks again for your work!

I just moved to Pittsburgh so I was not sure who to go to for my mechanic needs. The Friday before my new job started, my check engine soon signal came on and not only did the car sound different but it drove differently too. I called all the mechanics near me but Calfo s was the first one that told me they had an opening to check it out. They were able to fix my car that weekend before my new job and I couldn t be more satisfied. The customer service was phenomenal. I went to this mechanic randomly but next time I need auto assistance I m choosing Calfos immediately.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Oil change

Had a great experience here. The guys fit me in when I called, spent time to explain what had to be fixed, charged a fair price for parts and labor and stuck around for an extra hour or two after closing so I could pick up my car the same day. Haven't interacted with many businesses of this quality. Just a great auto shop all around.

I've been bringing my car here for years. As a young female, being treated respectfully and fairly in an auto shop is unfortunately not always the case but at Calfo's I've never once experienced anything but professional, honest and fair service. Frankly this family own business will bend over backwards to help in anyway they can and will be straight with you regarding what is feasible and keep their word. I can't say enough good things about this place. Service like this in an auto shop is hard to find.

These guys are incredible. I've been taking my cars here since I live in Greenfield and they've always been incredibly transparent about costs, timelines, and procedures.As far as car maintenance is concerned, I wouldn't go anywhere else unless you have a specific warranty contract with a dealership.

This place is legit and super honest in every way possible. Mr. Calfo and especially Bob are great people who genuinely care for their customers and cars. They always and only charge for the time it actually takes them to get the job done, and the prices are affordable compare to other places. Aside from that, they are willing to listen to you and spend some time explaining every detail of what is wrong. As a dead broke graduate student, it was an honored to be served by Bob, who is as honest as a mechanic can possibly get. My used car has a ton of problems (I knew this beforehand), but Bob would only tell me the important components to fix instead of luring me into fixing everything like some other mechanics that I spoke to.

I ve been using Calfo s for a few years now, and they never disappoint. They re usually busy (as most good shops are), but are always able to accommodate any scheduled maintenance or unexpected repairs. They also don t oversell any unnecessary parts or services, and what they do sell is always a fair price.

Calfo's will always be my go to auto shop in Pittsburgh. Everyone is friendly, knowledgeable, and very honest. They will never charge you for anything your vehicle doesn't need. Several times I have thought my car needed a repair it didn't, and every time they refused to do work that wasn't needed. I would recommend them to anyone - and refuse to go anywhere else.

Good guys, great service--I'm a girl and I know my car, and the prices charged for the work I've had done have been fair and I've never been talked down to (sigh, a frequent problem at many garages). I absolutely recommend these guys--took me a while to find a good place in PGH, and I'll never go elsewhere.They ALWAYS show me the old parts whenever they replace something, I've NEVER had issues with the parts they've installed, they provide good information concerning their diagnostic processes and they're honest and on time.

Quality work, repairs on my car were great. They charge a fair price, give personalized service, remember your name, and are super friendly. They'll work with you to get your car in shape for a reasonable price. Great experience overall
