I had my starter replaced here. Joe sent me pictures of the work as it was being done and kept in contact with me for the 1 day that it took him do the work. My car starts fast and strong now. 5 stars for Joes business and work!

Paid for rebuild alternator 579.00 A month later it burns out. I had to pay another 500 to get it taken out to take it back to him took the alternator back to him. He tells me he have to charge me another hundred dollars to re-check the alternator that something that it needed keep in mind the original price I pay for the alternator by the time I got done paying other people to take it back and bring it back to him cost me about $1200. I will never go to his business again, and I wouldn t recommend it to anybody else unless you just like giving your money away.

I can't say enough good about Joe and his shop! I wish we had more businesses like this who know their craft, stand behind their product, and save materials, time and energy by repairing a product rather than just tossing it out and wastefully selling you a whole new unit when just a small part will fix the problem. Did I mention integrity? You'll find it here! I intend to recommend him to EVERYONE!

I was looking for a car starter shop that could find why my car was intermittently not starting and Joe from "Boulevard Generator - Starter" was the only shop I've taken my car to in 3 years, that actually finally found out what was causing the problem. If your car won't start and the battery is fine, take it to Joe, and he will get to the root of your car starting problems. I am an Electrical Engineer myself, so take it from my years of my own troubleshooting my cars electrical systems, that if your car isn't starting all the time, Joe at Boulevard Alternator-Starter will find and fix your car. 5-Stars from meService: Electrical repair

This shop has been amazing. I was having issues with the alternator in my van. Joseph was awesome, listened to symptoms and got in in fast! He went thru the entire system and gave me a full run thru of the work he did! Great experience

Really awesome first time experience. I know his focus and expertise is in starters and alternators but he fixed our finicky brake light after years of it giving us problems on and off. No one has ever been able to address or fix the moody light that sometimes worked, sometimes, was snoozing. Additionally, he answered all my questions with so much detail and slowly and thoroughly, I actually learned a few things today! He knows his stuff obviously and quite humbly. Highly recommend this shop!

One of the greatest experiences I have had with a mechanic or auto serivce. I brought in a VW passat with no idea what the issue was with starting. He started the project as soon as I dropped it off and was able to diagnose the problem despite any information. He was professional and accomidating. I would recomend this service to anyone. The alternator in our Odyssey went suddenly just several blocks from the dealer, so we had it towed there. Waited a day and a half to have them give us some ridiculous price. When I called my mechanic, he recommended Boulevard Generator and they told me step by step what they would do to rebuild it and gave me a price that was still cheaper, even after having to pay to tow it again. The total time to have it towed and worked on was quicker than the dealers time just to diagnose it. Very friendly and quick service. Hands down, the best service ever!

I've known Joe since high school and he is a great guy. He loves what he does and is very knowledgeable. He took the time to explain the process of rebuilding my alternator and showing me why his rebuild would be better than the cheap rebuild from auto parts stores. His price was great and I would go back again. I highly recommend Boulevard Generator.

Great experience. Had my Ridgeline towed there Sunday, received a call at 8:58 AM on Monday. Joe had already taken out the alternator and tested that and the battery. Gave me a reasonable estimate and had it completed by 1PM. Very knowledgeable and great service.

Excellent service!!!!!!. The mechanic had a pep in his step which showed the confidence he had in his work. He did not disappoint fixing my starter in less than a day (for CHEAP). If you have a classic or antique vehicle, and you want to keep your original part instead of going to a questionable foreign remanufactured, here is the place to go. Not only has Boulevard rebuilt my starters and alternators over the decades, they have also upped the output and performance of these components using better parts and experience. They also worked with me to keep the original factory appearance--I actually told them "Don't make it look too good!" I appreciated the flexibility and their willigness to listen. Working with such "craftsmen" is such a relief in this throwaway world.

had them rebuild my 6 volt starter and generator for my 1942 jeep. had some voltage regulator issues .they were very knowledgeable and solved my problem only through their knowledge and understanding of the electrical system. saved me from going down many wrong directions .its nice to be able to go to someone who knows what the heck their doing . at a very reasonable price.

Joe and Tom are great, I've been coming here for almost two years now. The thing is that they really try to help you out. When I've got an issue with my Ford taurus I call these guys.They listen to my car issues and give me the best possible advice they can, and when I need anything fixed I know the job is done right (and it gets done without emptying my wallet).Keep up the good work guys!- Big D

Boulevard Generator did a great job with our Toyota Rav4!Our alternator stopped working the other day while on the way to pickup groceries. My Toyota's engine just stopped out of nowhere while at a red light, and it seemed like it might be a battery issue because it seemed low on power. The engine wouldn't start back up, so I looked up local car repair places instead of bringing it to the big box dealership car repair shops and Boulevard a call.The auto repair shop's manager Joe know what was wrong right away, and was able to get back on the road quickly without having to replace my alternator with a cheap Chinese one that will die again in a year or two.

We had a 30 year old Woodmizer sawmill that had electric/ hydraulic valves failed, a bad alternator that the replacements had failed multiple times, and an electric hydraulic pump motor that is no longer made or available that failed. With no source of antique parts to use, we turned these fine men who in a week made magic happen and were able to remedy all of our issues. These guys are simply fabulous.

Dropped my Kubota tractor starter off in the morning and Joe had it re-built and ready in the afternoon. I put it back on the tractor that evening and works like a champ.

Excellent service! Hard to find a local shop that had a marine alternator in stock! This is one of the few shops in Pittsburgh that will rebuild a starter or alternator!

Great service! Took starter to get tested, brushes were bad, Joe changed the brushes and cleaned it up, was done and out in fifteen minutes, and saved money with not having to buy new starter, will go back any time with electrical problems

Good quality work in a timely manner!!!! Old starter from old piece of equipment came out looking like brand new off shelf!!!! With GOOD QUALITY repair parts!!! DEFINITELY RECOMMEND this shop & will use their services AGAIN!!!!
