I had to have my car towed here after it wouldn't start. They were able to look at it same day and although I still ended up needing to have it serviced by a Chrysler dealership I had a great experience working with B & R. They were friendly but honest about my car's issues. I will be using them from now on for any of my non-computer relating issues!

After years of not having a regular or reliable mechanic, I found B&R Starters. I am ever so thankful and happy I did. They are honest, reliable and more than reasonable for any auto job they have done for me. Highly suggest them for auto mechanic work!

Took my car here for brake work because of the good reviews on here and because of the convenience (its within walking distance to my home). They definitely didn t disappoint. They found the issue with my brakes fairly quickly, ordered the parts needed, and scheduled the service to be completed within a couple days. When I got the car back, it was driving better than ever. And best of all, they did it all for a very reasonable price. Im confident the same thing would have cost twice as much elsewhere. Highly recommend.

I went to B&R based on reviews I read and some recommendations from a forum. Am really happy I did. Had my inspection done, but knew I needed tires. I'm getting them this week and they shopped around to get me the best deal while I sat there and listened in.Believe the reviews you read, they're honest, quick, reliable, and out to help their customers. Moved to the area recently and was in need of a new place for car repairs. My brakes basically gave out on my way home from work on a Friday night and after calling multiple places for possibly stopping in early on a Saturday morning B & R told me right away to come on in and they'd handle it. Very upfront with the cost (I was shown an itemized list for everything needed) especially because the damage required some extra labor and very friendly the entire time. Finished the work in just a few hours and offered me rides to and from my home for the service. Will definitely be using for anything car related in the future!Service: Brakes

I would not recommend this auto shop because the technician who performed a diagnostics test on my vehicle was kind of rude. I had AAA tow my vehicle to this shop because it had stalled on me twice, but the technician appeared annoyed because I was there. He needed to do some sort of code test to see what was wrong with my vehicle and needed to get in the driver's seat to do so. He did not ask me to get out of the vehicle or say "please" but instead rudely told me to get out of the vehicle. I think the technician's name was Brian. His overall demeanor was unpleasant.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

Woke up and discovered there was an issue with my exhaust, was visiting a friend in Allentown. Called B&R via recommendation, they had me come in that day and provided a temporary solution until I could drop my car off the following morning for repair. Took a couple hours and under 100$. We started using B&R for all our car repair/oil change etc needs when we moved to Mt. Washington 6 years ago. They are ALWAYS very straightforward, fairly priced, and have a quick turnaround time. We have since moved to Shaler and decided to try Glenshaw auto since it s closer to us. Big mistake. Wanted us to spend $2700 after getting our car inspected - we said nope and took it back to B&R, and they checked everything out and quoted us $400. We have always felt respected by them and continue to be loyal customers.

These guys were awesome very nice very fast I called pulled up& they fixed my tire and just a few minutes and they didn't charge me an arm and a leg or scam me because I'm a girl who has no idea about cars I will definitely be returning and recommending them to anybody!!

The owner personally reviewed my needs. He took on a job not many would perform. Excellent job for a reasonable price! The atmosphere and conversation was awesome

I go out of my way to be serviced by B & R. They are phenomenal mechanics. Don't BS you, give it to you straight, extremely fair pricing, and fast service. Will never go anywhere else again as long as I'm residing in the Pittsburgh area.

I love coming to this shop! Everyone is very friendly and they do the job right and fast. They explain everything without making me feel dumb. They fix what needs fixed and don't try to sell something you don't need. I've only been coming here for a few years but I've always had a good experience.

Would 100% recommend B&R starter. The people who work here are very friendly and easy to talk to. The work they do is great and rates are very reasonable.I have taken two cars here already. They have accomadated the quirks for both cars with no issues, and even allowed me to come into the garage and look at the underside of my project car (1987 Mitsubishi).Everyone needs a honest mechanic.

I m always skeptical about auto shops. As a woman I ve had experiences with people taking advantage of me, or being rude. B&R has always been incredible kind, punctual, and well priced. I ve gone there for my inspection as well as to get replacement tires. They ordered them and replaced them for me within 1 day. I will definitely be going back in the future, and I highly suggest them to others.

B & R helped me get a state inspection for my Diesel car. They were super nice, great price, even went the extra mile to reset a dashboard light for me.
