Ordered online for pickup and went into the store to see what other products they might have had for what I was doing. Staff asked if I needed help, I said I was okay and just looking. Still came over anyways and hovered. So I asked him some questions after his suggestion and he wasn't able to clearly answer. Then while checking out I asked if you were able to use rewards in store and his answer was yes. Never asked for my number or to ask if I wanted to use point. He was like you should download the app and go from there.... I said that's how I ordered my online pickup that I'm here for. Then had to have him put my email in for the receipt since he didn't put my number in. Not the best time there lol. Just don't over do things and please do it right.

Only 4 stars because employee did not want to change wiper blades. Employee actually told another worker to do it.

I had my car battery suddenly die in my car yesterday (no warning leading up to that) and jumped it to get it to this Advance Auto. The tech was very helpful and efficient at quickly installing my new battery. The tech also offered me anti corrosion pads for my battery that will make battery change in the future less of an issue. Tech was very friendly and showed great care for my car.

Purchased a battery and had it installed. No issues. The staff was professional and the whole process took only 30 minutes.

My wifes battery was showing symptoms of being bad, and after finding the receipt I was at month 37 of the 36 month free replacement. I contacted advance auto and they told me it was at the discretion of the store if they would replace it or not.I tested the battery after the car was sitting for an hour and it was showing 12.2v on my meter with no loads. I had my wife take the car to this advance to see if they would replace it because her electric power steering was causing issues and the car was going into battery saver mode the second it was turned off. Whoever helped her checked the battery by starting the car to test the alternator, which checked out good, then immediately shut the car off and tested the battery which also tested "good" (they told her the battery voltage was 12.4v). When she mentioned that a battery at 12.4v isn't a fully charged battery they told her she was wrong, and anything over 12v indicates that the battery is good and told her she needs to take her car to the mechanic.I immediately called the store and talked to another representative and they stated to me "it's a 12v battery..." I was shocked that two people at this store don't know that a 12v battery fully charged should be between 12.6-12.8v. After going back and forth with the representative they asked if I wanted the battery replaced. I said no and hung up. I would never let these people touch my car. I replaced the battery with one purchased not at advance, and have had no issues with the power steering nor the battery saving mode coming on. The old battery was bad, I would have understood if they denied the replacement because I was a month out of warranty, but I'm not ok with the employees stating false information. I apologize if they were unknowingly saying this because I can see how a 12v battery being 12.2v (or this case 12.4v) sounds like it is ok, but if that's the case then the store manager needs to properly train his/her employees.

My car needed jumped this morning, so I asked to have battery checked. Super polite young man explained that I had to wait a little since the other employee was outside testing another battery and that someone had to be in the store at all times and it was only the two of them. As soon as the other employee returned, this polite young man grabbed his tester and was out the door with me! What a nice fellow he was and HONEST. He could have lied and said I needed a new battery, but didn't! You better believe that when I do, I actually do hope I don't, need to replace my battery, I will get it from this location of Advance Auto

This store is alright..its usually neat, clean & well stocked. Most of the employees are friendly but definitely not all of them which negatively effects the atmosphere. They have a fairy decent inventory of parts in stock for many makes, models & for a wide range of years. The rewards program is actually great. If you shop using the benefits of the program, especially when combined with the coupons available, you really can save a considerable amount of money.

Unexpectedly car barely started after work. Love the option to have them test and replace battery at no charge. This is 2nd battery I've had them replace in past 6 months (other my daughter in Ohio) and in both cases they took time to do it right even when things got difficult with the terminals and cover. Doing it at no charge, they could try to take shortcuts but they don't....good customer service!

My car needs a new reservoir so we ordered one, only to find out that it was a not a steering reservoir, we got the wrong type. So we returned it and got the new steering reservoir at a different store because ours doesn't have reservoirs. But it turned out to be the wrong part because my 2010 car needs 2011 parts due to being built late in the year. So again we return the part and order the new one so we don't have to drive out to the other store. We get the call, pick up the part, but realize that the part is wrong again. It is manufactured backwards from the one in my car. After going into the store we found out that all of those product numbers are the same, it isn't a defect. Somehow the system has wrong information for this part. Anywho... So we have to order a new part from the dealership, they are the only ones with the correct part. It was over the weekend I think and the kid up front took my info and said he would pass it to the manager and I would get a call when he orders it. Well... After like a week, I still hadn't received a call. So we contacted them again and spoke to the manager who got it ordered for me. We would receive a call when the part came in. After another week again no word. We called the shop and spoke to the manager Mike. He told me that he hadn't heard anything from the dealership but would call them back after their lunch and get back to me. When he called back, I was informed that somehow the dealership never processed my order.Luckily, this part isn't a major issue. If it was something very important I may be slightly miffed at the situation and probably wanting to throw blame everywhere. However, the only issue I had that was a direct problem of Advance auto, was when the kid up front forgot to relay my order to the manager. Everything else was out of Advance auto's hands. As a previous employee of Advance, I know that even though the situation is aggravating, the advance team performed mostly as they should. In the end, we decided it would be better to go directly to the source and get the part from the dealership, in case the dealership forgets about me again. The Advance auto team is very friendly and I enjoy using them exclusively whenever possible.However... I am still scratching my head over why my car's steering reservoir is manufactured backwards in their system. Perhaps corporate should look into this. Thanks guys.

Depending on what parts counter person waits on you, some are very knowledgeable and the service could be good, some are clueless and it could be pretty bad. They should require all counter persons to be " ASE certified parts specialist " so they know what they are talking about. Not tell you " I don't think I we have that " when you already looked it up online and know they do and have to tell them the part number, before they can find it.There parts are of good quality. The unknowable counter persons is why I gave 3 stars.

Good people that help you find what you need. Had a warranty on my brakes they took care of it right away, got another better set for almost nothing.

Very friendly and helpful staff. I don't know as much as I would like about auto repair, but they didn't make me feel dumb or try to take advantage of that for the sale (in fact, I ended up buying nothing as my problem will require a shop).I'm certainly moving this location to the top of my maintenance supply shops list.

I bought a part online for my muffler. I ended up not needing and tried to return it to this location, as it said online you can return to any of their locations within 45 days. Even though I had the receipt and email confirmation number when trying to return it the employee named Mike refused to return it. He said he did not know how to return it and would not ask any other employee at the store how to do it. Even though they had a mat on the counter that also stated how to do returns from an online purchase with the receipt or email confirmation both of which I gave to him he told me to call the online help center for them to tell him how to do the return. I decided to leave at that point and the next weekend I took it to the Moon Township store where I used to live closer to, they were also so helpful in the past, so I decided to take the hour long trip to return it there and they were able to do it in under 4 minutes.Overall, just PLEASE RETRAIN MIKE at the harmarville location, on returning online purchases and basic customer service skills.

Needed a new car battery installed today. Keep in mind it was 4 degrees with a wind chill of -15. I felt bad for the guy having to be out in the nasty cold. He had trouble (no fault of his own) removing the old battery. He had to get help. Together, they were very friendly and professional...and cold! The new battery was installed and I was out of there in less than 30 minutes.

Couldn't replace my dead battery today. They said needed to take it to a professional garage. It's a 2007 Chevy impala. What's so difficult. This place is worthless.
