Brought a battery for my Lincoln Navigator and the battery is under warranty. Had the battery for a day and it went dead. Took it back and they claim it needed charged. Not sure why a brand new battery would need charged(twice). Talk with them today and they keep saying it needs charged. So he charged it only for it to die again. I take my truck to the shop and they put it on the machine. The Mechanic said this battery is junk. Try to take it back to hear we will need to charge it again.I will never buy anything else from this place again. Advance auto west liberty location.

Called and talked to John about a part for my vehicle I couldn t find anywhere. He was helpful and polite on the phone and found the part. When I arrived to the store John had my part ready. I will say the store was somewhat busy and there was atleast 2 if not 3 other guys working and John was helping all of them. The other employees didn t look like they wanted to be bothered. I don t say this often but John was great and employers like this should be sure to recognize and appreciate them! #belikejohn

The guys who work here were extremely courteous and helpful in aiding me and my sister in law find motorcycle parts(mainly a part that had to do with his piston for his Harley softail) so much so that they kinda had to school my man while on speakerphone on exactly what the part was called(my man I guess made up the term/word he was referring to for the part hahaha) I frickin loved it, because they weren't rude about it but at the same time was halfway jokingly putting him in his place and letting him know softly that he was making ish up haha!PS- this is my bfs second favorite advanced BTW which is saying a whole lot considering he's at least making once a week trips to some type of car/bike parts place

I own an audi a 3 quadro. My battery is very difficult to install. They were so helpful that I had to tip the guy.

The employees were very nice and helpful. We had a headlight issue and they were nice enough to help pick the correct size and how to install the bulb without taking the car apart to do so. The service was great and the prices are competitive. Good shopping!

Very positive experience. My car died twice, needed a jump (twice), I finally made it down here on a Sunday when auto shops were closed. Not only was I able to use a 20% off online coupon to pickup in store, they were friendly and helpful. Most auto stores tend to baby ladies when they need help with "guy stuff". The gentlemen here were respectful and answered all my questions, AND managed to assure me I wouldn't have to make an appointment with a shop for any testing. They checked everything I was worried about to my satisfaction and installed my new battery. Definitely recommend.

I stopped here just to get something to quick fix my bumper.Well the young gentleman that waited on me insisted I just let him have a "look" at it. Dont you know he was on the ground on his back then just decided to fix my problem for me. I wish I had gotten his name. This man deserves a HUGE raise. Best customer service I've had in a long time!!!!! Thanks again guy!!!! You were wonderful!

I came here two weeks ago to get my car battery tested. A person came outside with a machine to test my battery. He struggled with it for a bit, and said he's new and this is only his third time doing it. I was thinking maybe I should go to another store, but then he somehow figured out the machine himself and gave me instructions on what to do to test the battery. The results came out normal, Thank God! I'm glad my car battery is ok, and although the guy is new, he didn't give up and he wasn't rude or mean to me.

Great selection in this larger than average store. Knowledgeable staff helped me select a battery terminal to fit my needs and gave me a heads up that the bolt was an 11 mm. Super helpful, great selection. One of the better auto parts stores in the area.

The guys are friendly and want to be helpful, but one of them was trying to make more of a simple problem (just needed a battery, I got horror stories about the alternator, starter, electronics...) They did install the battery for free, which was nice, but that's what they're supposed to do. I like advance because of the good quality for the price.

I've dealt with Advance Auto for year's and everytime I buy directly from them. Or order nothing is ever right...your staff never have knowledge of what you purchase..5 star down.If you look at the numbers west Liberty always have negative reviews..

Marc, a manager from one of the other stores, helped me with a battery purchase/install. He was courteous, personable, advised me in my purchase, installed the battery to high standards and generally very helpful. It was a good experience and I recommend Advanced Auto for your car's needs!

I came in for the free battery/alternator check. I told them I suspected most strongly it was the alternator and mostly just cared about testing it. After 20 minutes of them figuring out how to connect the cables to my battery's sideposts (they had to screw in adapters instead), they told me my battery was fine. Well, I knew that since it was 5 months old. When I asked them to test my alternator, I was told they didn't have the right tool to look at the amp output. Great. So I went down the street to a different store. Imagine my surprise when my car wouldn't start and the power kept cutting out. We finally got it running and the alternator tested fine. Then, after getting gas, my car wouldn't start AGAIN. Called AAA. He tightened the connections on my battery that Advance Auto had undone and my car started beautifully. Thanks for costing me an hour and $80 because you couldn't reattach a couple of bolts.

nice people. they explained they were changing the closing time until 8pm instead of 9pm. because I was the second customer they had in the last hour. It's a nice convenient store. I don't know why more people don't go there?

Staff was extremely helpful. They were attentive and we're able to answer my questions quickly with examples I could understand. I am not a car expert so I really valued this type of service!

In here about a week ago. The place was okay, however, I watched one employee bully an older gentleman employee. The older gentleman was very friendly and kind when he rang us out. He even made some hilarious jokes about being a wizard. This older guy is worth five stars... But watching the hurt look on his face when the other employee was a dick to him multiple times.. That's not worth anything. Grow up dude.

Decently educated staff. Unlike most Advance stores these guys actually know a little about parts. The only problem is the one older fella is so very sexist. My sister-in-law is a Get-R-Done kind of chick and they talked to her and treated her like she had a learning disability. Explaining it was because his female counter part was not mechanically inclined. She was a bit pissed about that but got the last laugh.

Pretty much the same as every other Advance Auto. Nothing special as far as the staff or customer service. I've been to OTHER auto parts stores where the staff go out of their way to help, as far as coming outside to help install a battery, or a fuse, or a bulb, etc. This store offered no help when I asked about helping me with a tail light bulb.

My husband went to this location and was sold brake pads for a 2006 Tucson, NOT a 2016 model as originally requested. When he went back to exchange them, the clerk named Angelo was rude and condescending. Angelo's actions implied that *my husband* was at fault for the mistake; he was in no way accommodating or helpful at all; customer service is quite lacking to an unacceptable degree. Another trip to the mechanic with the correct part is necessary because of the wrong pad being sold. We don't want a ticker tape parade of shame, but rather a clerk who will be kind, understanding, and non-judgmental to a customer who is spending time and MONEY to obtain a car part. We WILL NEVER RETURN to this location, which is a shame because I'd like to tell my new friend Angelo to his face to get bent.

DO Not purchase used battery from this store. They sold my daughter a bad battery and did not want to honor the warranty. Very rude staff. Will never go there again and if you are smart you won't either.

I normally wouldn't leave a bad review here if this situation didn't occur pretty much every time I place an order. Looked up a part on their site. It said they had it in stock so I ordered it for store pick up. An hour or so later I get an email saying that it is ready to be picked up. Go to get it and there are supposedly none in the store at all but they can order them. I said that I would just go somewhere else because I needed it for an 8 am appointment. They ASSURED me that that parts would "be here before we even open and we open at 7:30". I said ok let's order them. I call and they aren't in. MIGHT be in at around 11. I asked why all of this happened and was blankly told "dunno". This has happened several times before. I should have learned my lesson but I definitely have now. I went to a different store and immediately picked them up. And now I get to wait (roughly) a week to get my money refunded from the cancelled order.

Where does advance find these people that work at their stores? They are always unprofessional and poorly trained. Also their prices are extremely uncompetitive compared to rock auto. Yes, sometimes I need the convenience but I'm not going to pay twice as much for their generic parts when I can get name brand from Rock Auto. Even their oil is expensive and I can get better deals at Walmart or Costco.

Fantastic experience with this location. Mekhi quickly tested and replaced my car battery and I was back on the road within 20 minutes. Thanks so much! Will be back for future car needs.

Counter guys are great, rewards are ok, prices are still kinda high. Like why is a can of Sea Foam $12 here & $7 at Wal-Mart? They do take used oil which is awesome and loan tools that most people will only need one or twice in their life, will read check engine light codes, install wipers, batteries & bulbs etc. In the end I go back because of the guys at the counter when I can.

Convenient for grabbing new parts QUICKLY, but Cannot Compete with some smaller, cheaper, neighborhood parts stores who may have to order your parts. DEFINITELY can't compete with ONLINE STORES OR DIY places like U-PULL!!! I rather pull my parts there ANYDAY for A Tenth of the price!!! Nice, clean store, nice size, with friendly staff though. Convenient for little things needed quickly, like sprays, washes, air fresheners, & other little items. But if you need auto parts, SHOP AROUND. Online Auto Parts Sites should be running places like these out of business in the next 10 years, like they're doing right now to other smaller retail stores like K-Marts & Best Buys. Happy Shopping & God Bless!

Tried to return an item from another Advance store and got the run around on how they shouldn't take it back.....also that their card reader was broken and couldn't return it because it was bought on a debit... I asked for the cash instead and they refused return......Just went to another Advance, they helped, then I bought my oil!!!

My friend and I went there to get transmission fluid, as he had just put a new transmission in his service truck. We purchased all ten that were on the shelf. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

None of them are really worth going to anymore, unless you either have too, or know someone, in order to get a discount. I used to frequent the store often, but now it's a rarity. Most employees have literally no idea what they're doing whatsoever; plus it's more expensive than most other places.
