I cannot recommend Don and his team enough!New to Pittsburgh, I needed to get a car after over 20 years without one (i.e. I know nothing about cars). He got me in for a last minute appointment to do an inspection of the used car I'd just bought (for which he didn't even charge me). Don walked me through the issues and my options, including the ranges in price.He worked with the company who issued my warranty and convinced them to cover all the things that were wrong, even though technically they only needed to cover half of it.Again, having not had a car in so long, I was overwhelmed and figured anyone would just try to rip me off. But Don and his team are incredibly friendly, helpful, and professional.If you're looking for quality service with an honest team, you've found it!

Don and his team were so helpful! I thought I had a slow leak but they thoroughly inspected my car and it was false alarm. They even reset my tire pressure monitor, all free of charge. What a great place, highly recommend to anyone!

I was passing through Pittsburgh right before the holiday weekend. Called at 3:24PM (shop closes at 4:30). I explained I was down the street and passing through town. Explained my situation and I asked if they could just help just determine if my car was safe to get home or if we needed to stay in town for the long weekend until work could done. His only response we are shutting down for the day but I can look at it in 4 days . Luckily another shop on the other side of town was able to determine (By 4:05pm) my family could get home safely.

Just picked my car up, super friendly staff and I got an A+ diagnosis. They were super honest with their process and costs for repairs, and didn't charge me for diagnosing issues even after me insisting. Will come back!

Aamco is very good service I do highly recommend customers to try this company. I'm glad things worked well for my car situations. The East Liberty AAMCO has been my go-to to service my car for a few years now. They are consistently kind, knowledgeable, and professional. They are always honest about the state of the car, and are able to handle any mechanical issues with care and speed. If you re looking for an auto guy to steer you wrong or charge you too much, do NOT come to Don. Also, if you are desperate to get rid of money, don t come here. The last few times I ve come in for diagnostic checks, I have not been successful in getting him to accept money.

Professional, courteous and competent service. All technicians provided straightforward advice and information for a range of problems (3 different cars, issues included inspection, bumper damage and power steering replacement); they also charged fair prices. We actually don't mind having issues with our cars b/c Don and the team at AAMCO are so wonderful to work with. Recently we took the car in for a minor issue. First, they got us in immediately. No major work was needed so they refused to take money. Take your car here!

I took my Ford Freestyle in yesterday around 9:30am because the power steering had failed the night before. Within an hour, the guys at AAMCO called back. They very clearly explained the problem (something to do with the pressure line), what they could do to try to fix it, how long it would take, and how much it would probably cost. Furthermore, they were very upfront about the fact that this was most likely the problem but they were unable to guarantee that once this was fixed, there might not be another problem that would need addressed. After discussing with my family, we ended up deciding to forego the repairs, since it would cost more than what my car was worth. When I went to pick up my car this morning, they didn't even charge me for the labor of diagnosing the problem, saying that I had enough things to worry about with having to quickly purchase a new car within the next few days.This is the second time I've come to AAMCO for work on my vehicle, and they have been nothing but helpful and professional. I appreciate their honesty and the speed with which they get things done! Highly recommend their services!Service: Auto engine diagnostic

My 2008 Trailblazer was in limp mode after some frame work was done to it. I brought it to AAMCO thinking it was going to be a ground wire or maybe something more serious. Dropped it off first thing in the morning and a couple hours later I got a call from Don. He said it was just a fuse and that they weren't going to charge me for the diagnostic because it was something so simple. He and his mechanics also compiled a list of potential future problems my vehicle might have and also somethings I need to address before my inspection. Awesome service and care! I will be utilizing AAMCO for all of my future vehicle repairs.Service: Transmission

I came here for an inspection required by the state of PA. The men working here were courteous, efficient, and had integrity in their pricing and customer service. They even went above and beyond and helped install a license plate that I was unable to do due to a stripped screw. This AAMCO center is excellent and managed and staffed with outstanding mechanics and will be back here for future repairs in the area. I had the best experience here the other day. My jeep was on the fritz and I had my toddler in the car. The gentleman who helped me, I think his name was Chris, was extremely accommodating and turned what could have been a really terrible morning into a new found hope for humanity. Big ups to the crew for their speedy and thoughtful work. You now have a new loyal and trusting customer.

I highly recommend taking your car here for anything that you could need. I brought my car in for an inspection and there were some minor issues as to why it didn't pass, and I appreciate that they were very clear and honest about why and what I would need to do. I did the maintenance myself, but I took it back to get reinspected and that went very smoothly. I was also surprised at how quickly my car got in the shop and finished. AAMCO now has a new regular customer that very happy, with not only the services, but also how pleasant the employees were.Service: Vehicle Inspection

We have been a customer at AAMCO in East Liberty for quite a few years, and I highly recommend them. We have used them for maintenance on my personal and work vehicles, and always have received top notch service. The front desk people are always polite and helpful, and prompt with a call when the car is finished, or with additional info if needed. The mechanics are always honest with recommendations of what work needs to be done, how long it will likely take, and the price. The work is always done to our satisfaction, and they keep excellent records for follow up. I highly recommend taking your car here! They were prompt to answer the phone and get my car in for diagnosis. Unfortunately, the cost of the repair was more than the worth of the vehicle, but they went out of their way to suggest alternative options and even waived the diagnostic fee for me! They are good people and have your best interest in mind! I will be returning for any service my new car requires!Service: Transmission

Had my car there for brake inspection and steering wheel alignment. The price they charge was very reasonable and the repair speed is really fast. They were able to get all the replacements done in less than one day and everything works well now. I have recommended some of my friends about this location. Keep it up, if I run into some problems with my car in the future I ll definitely let them take a look first.

I've been getting my car serviced here since 2017. Don is honest about what needs to be fixed, what can wait, and what you can address with your dealer. They are honest and do not run the charges up when you bring your car in. I trust their opinion.

No b.s. solid service. These guys took great care of my car, checked it over completely and did a great job. They're fast, friendly, and straight with you. The last place I went to told me they didn't hear anything when I told them I thought my breaks were making noise. That same place left my oil cap sitting on my battery when they returned the car to me. So much for the Midas touch. But the guys at AAMCO didn't ignore what was happening with my car and even helped me with some preventive maintenance. They were also very quick. They've certainly earned my business.

The best service I have ever received at an Auto Repair Shop! They will be servicing all my Auto needs from this point on! They were HONEST, they DID NOT overcharge me, and they fixed what was actually wrong with the car Don Fisher was so nice, very knowledgeable and made me feel very comfortable! Great service. I definitely would recommend anyone to go to this shop. I, myself had transmission problem. And, even though everything didn t work out, they still did their best to take care of me and provide great service and customer care. In response to the comment left on my wife's review, I must express my disappointment with the inspection outcome. Despite my efforts to understand why my rotors were deemed invalid, I did not receive a clear explanation from anyone at the dealership. In contrast, information from other automotive sources indicated that my rotors met the required width specifications. Although a police officer suggested that I seek legal recourse if I remained dissatisfied with the service, I am still hopeful that this matter can be resolved in a more amicable manner.This appears to be a case of fraudulent activity, and it is not just me who has been advised to replace brake pads, rotors, and tires. It is concerning that others have also fallen victim to this scam, and the individuals responsible for these unethical practices must be held accountable for their actions.

They were incredibly responsive! I called to inquire and was able to come in immediately. They gave me a quote within an hour and fixed it up in a couple hours. Rate their service five stars. They took my vehicle as soon as I drove in and gave me a fair assessment of what was wrong and recommendations on repairs to pass an inspection. All within an hour. Would use again!

Do not go here, dishonest. I was told that I needed brake rotor and pad replacements on a car with only 40k on it. Also advised tire replacement on 2yr old tires. I was being taken advantage of and nearly spent $600 extra in repairs. AAMCO failed my inspection because I didn't follow through with the repairs.It's a good thing I took my car elsewhere for a second opinion. The second mechanic felt like my car was in fine shape and did not need anything.Service: Vehicle Inspection
