We had a great experience. Tom is very kind and honest. He seemed very invested in his work. He made it easy for us to get needed repairs and cared more about his work then making money. Tom did great work, did it quickly, and did it for a fair rate, no hidden fees or up selling. Customer service was incredible, it felt like I was dealing with family. Easily the best experience I have ever had at a mechanic.

Tom is fantastic and one of the nicest people I have ever met. My car was leaking coolant and Tom was able to not only find the problem but he was able to fix it quickly. After that he was having trouble bleeding the engine and he went above and beyond to make sure it ran right and was fixed properly. He went above and beyond when repairing my car and went above and beyond to make sure that it was fixed properly the first time. He is a great man and an even better mechanic. 100% awesome experience with the owner of this business!! Great Human!! While traveling from Ohio to Philly (last hour of my drive) my battery light came on and dash flashed check charge system . I knew this meant my alternator was not charging my battery and I may soon be without power!! But I was on the turnpike. We googled car repair near me . It was Saturday at 5. We didn t think anywhere would be open. We headed to Carter s. They were not open when we got there (Google said they were open until 11pm). But I called and left a (quite panicked) message. Not only did Tom call me back. But he stayed in touch with me the rest of my journey. He is very knowledgable! He s concerned! And he worried way more about my safety than about making a buck from me!! I ended up too far away from his location to use him but he still took his personal time on a Sunday to stay in touch with me and helped make sure I didn t have unnecessary work performed on my vacation. Great guy!He s a no-nonsense, real car guy. (Just like the one I use at home!!) Best find on our vacation!!

Tom Carter is a mechanic of the first class.I have seen some reviews who were unhappy. Tom is a fair person, if there was an issue, probably he would give your money back.. Likely the issue was that when the car was up on the lift, Tom saw important safety issues which needed to be repaired. Possible did not get clearance, but now here is the point.Tom is not letting any unsafe vehicle out of his garage.Tom is a force of nature.He fixes itsh

Called them up saying I had an issue. Told me the times they had available and could give it a quick look over. Offered ride back. Got back to me within a few hours. Gave me a full price breakdown of the repairs which were very reasonable other people wanted to replace the entire exhaust because I drove over a tarp which melted to the exhaust. They managed to grind it off paint it and had the car back very quickly.Very impressed with the service.

Excellent service. Came in for a non working taillight on a Saab 900s, he fixed it in under and hour. Tom knew exactly what to do. Straight forward and easy to communicate with.

Located Carter's Saab Services while looking for a Saab specialist to inspect a used 2009 9-5 Aero that I found online. I live in Utah and needed an advocate in the Philadelphia area who would give me a thorough, professional inspection, knew their Saab details, and would give me a no nonsense evaluation. Tom at Carter's filled this role better than I could have imagined.Tom got the car in immediately and was extremely thorough going over it with a fine-tooth comb. He came up with several details the dealer was trying to pass as a non-issue. Tom saved me about a thousand bucks in little repairs, and did it all with first class service. Couldn't give a higher recommendation.

Carter's Saab Service is a fantastic place to get work done, and it doesn't have to be a Saab- that's just their specialty. Broke down right in front of their shop when my clutch fan broke and pierced the radiator. This was about 5:00PM, they had a new radiator, fan clutch, fan ready to go by the next morning, by 2:00PM it was finished. Tom (owner) went above and beyond and I most certainly recommend his services.Service: General repairs & maintenance

This place totally took advantage of my son. Charged him over $700 for a few exhaust leaks and the inspection. Since his last inspection the car had 800 miles put on it and was previously inspected at a dealer. Place says it needed a ton of work. Supposedly the exhaust was rebuilt yet he gets it home and it still has an exhaust leak! Plus they had it almost 2 weeks! Took advantage of my trusting adult autistic son.Services: Exhaust, General repairs & maintenance

TOM CARTER IS AN UNPROFESSIONAL AND DISHONEST MECHANIC. He quoted me a price and I said go ahead with the work, once it was done the price nearly tripled and he never said the cost would be any different until I was handed the invoice, which had extremely unprofessional language on it. I showed this invoice to many other mechanics who said he was an embarrassment to the trade.

Tom from Carter's Saab was unexpectedly helpful when it came to some backyard mechanic repairs. I was in the process of a brake & rotor change on a 1996 900S when my attempt to loosen the parking brake adjuster (to remove the rotor) dismantled the entire system inside of the rotor itself. A panicked phone call to Carter's resulted in the receival of step by step instructions over the phone on how to reassemble the parking brake shoe, all out of good will. Tom was a huge help and made a huge difference in the course of my day, and I can not wait to further do business with them.

While looking for a vehicle, Carters came up on a search as a place for used cars. I spent a minute or two looking at the vehicles at Carters (some were clearly for sale) and was immediately approached by the owner. When I told him why I was there, he replied that he "wasn't trying to sell cars." He presumed I didn't know anything about Saabs and offered that I "shouldn't buy a Saab if I didn't know anything about them." He then educated me on some of the finer points of Saab ownership, and how it's probably not for me.Knowing your stuff is one thing. Being condescending and unhelpful is another.For sales or repairs, I couldn't recommend someone that has such a bad attitude with customers.

Maybe he knows about old generation Saabs but charged me 600 to tell me my harness is bad on my 93 viggen and that I should trash the car.Went down the street to story's garage who is a REAL saab specialist and he found my ecu was bad.. maybe go to him for an oil change or tire change,possibly brakes but I wouldn't go any further from the experience I had with him.Service: Electrical repair
