So I ve been to this aamco now FIVE times . Originally my transmission went out, so I brought my car to this location to be serviced. They charged me 5,500 which is about the MOST you can charge someone for a transmission rebuild , Took about 8 days for them to fix which is normal about 2 weeks later the transmission falls apart again! I bring it back to get serviced under warranty and I guess since I wasn t coming out of pocket for the repair they took it upon themselves to hold my car there over 2 weeks double the time it took for the original job I m a delivery driver and this amount of time without my car literally cost me my job . The night I get the car back I drive off the lot and realize my steering wheel was off to the right a significant amount! Bring back AGAIN to have a wheel alignment by a nearby Mavis because they didn t do alignments . About a month later I bring the car back in for a squeaking noise which I was told was either my belt or battery so I have both replaced costing me another 350$ to only turn on my car and literally hear the same exact noise again I call in at this point highly frustrated only to be told by David who honestly isn t even a mechanic just a concierge that answered every other question with I don t know or I m not sure asking me to bring the car in again another overnight . At this point I should ve just signed the car over to them and let them own it for as much time it spent on their lot .. moral of the story, these guys are NOT good at their jobs

Awesome experience with both vehicles. Had engine troubles on one car and needed inspection on the other. They were able to fit me in on short notice and get me back on the road asap. Great customer service and priced very fair. Will definitely go back.

Was able to schedule appointment for inspection within 48hours. This was much sooner than many shops around. Upon drop off they were honest about every step of the way how long it would take / what to expect as far as payment. I very much appreciated the care they took of my vehicle. In addition to inspection they put on some new lug nuts that I had to replace old ones. Absolutely will continue to use these guys and encourage anyone in the area to not hesitate to bring you vehicle to them.Thanks again guys.-Dane

Dave the owner of AAMCO Transmission treated me like a family member. I received follow -up phone calls while my car was in his teams care, he communicated exactly what was required for my car to be returned to me in better shape than when It arrived. I take my Range Rover and my Jeep Rubicon to AAMCO in Phoenixville for all issues, large or small. They treat every issue, large or small the same...with professionalism, clarity and care. I feel very comfortable writing a stellar review and do not do this often. Please know that your domestic or import is in excellent hands at AAMCO in Phoenixville, as I hope that I have proven.

AAMCO fixed my son's car while I had a rental to get around. He drove his Ford Escape from Marine base Fort Meade to home while on leave and I took it to two shops for an analysis with a nasty sound. The shop near me estimated $10K to fix or replace the transfer case, driveshaft, and "would need rear work". AAMCO was A THIRD of the cost, friendly, no pressure, and showed us the broken parts! Job well done! Thanks to the crew there! I will recommend, refer others, and come back. This crew takes ownership of a problem and will return it to you like new.

Don t laugh when I say that that s my baby in the picture, and as her mother I over worry a lot with my Honda Passports physical condition. So obviously when I travelled a few hours away from home, and my transmission fluid became low, and I couldn t shift it out of park without her shutting off, I panicked. The smell was horrid and she was a smokin. Finally, after calling 20 different auto shops local to my hotel, I came across David at AAMCO who told me to bring it by. I can t thank them enough for their availability last minute before their lunch break. Jake gave me a few minor engine diagnostics and was pretty easy on the eyes. But overall I m very satisfied with the stress relief they provided for me. I was able to sit back on my three hour trip home with the radio up. Professional and very friendly. I took my 2001 Sub Outback to these guys because they had been so helpful to a couple of friends recently. I was losing hope for my car because the last shop I used said the plugs could no longer be removed. Curtis convinced me to let them try it. they got them out safely and finished the repairs quickly, and it runs better than before! I'm really happy to have gotten connected with them here, and they are my new shop! And NOTE: THEY ARE NOT JUST FOR TRANSMISSIONS! They can do everything. I recommend them with great confidence

I took my car here for the first time a few weeks ago when it started making a strange sound. Everyone I talked to was so friendly and kind. They looked it over for free and were so knowledgeable with explaining everything to me. They were the first place I thought to call when my car came up for inspection, and that visit was just as pleasant.

Incredibly thankful for Aamco in Phoenixville. We had a flat tire from hitting a pothole up the road. We pulled in to take a look at the tire. I decided to stop in and see if maybe they could help us. Though the guy at the front desk (unfortunately I did not get his name) stated that they don t work much with tires & they wouldn t be able to help us with getting a new one. He offered us some water & guided us in the right direction for places nearby that would be able to help more in that area. Thankfully he did mention that they could help us get the spare on. After taking a look Jack got the spare on in a couple of minutes and even filled the spare with air! Incredibly thankful for Jack and the rest of the crew at Aamco! They made our rough situation much easier. & I cannot thank them enough for being so great when we needed it! Will definitely recommend with friends and family!

While being sceptical of a national chain for transmission repair i found myself with no one willing to work on my 5 speed manual, aamco phoenixville was recommended by my local mechanic and i trusted his judgement and i am very glad i did , job went smooth with reasonable cost and fast repair . The most extraordinary customer service. First, they offer a transmission assessment free of charge. They decided to replace my transmission with a factory pre-owned but only after making sure they could not rebuild my original transmission to save costs.They weren t happy with the way the first transmission they put in was performing. So they ordered a second and completely rehauled the transmission once more. Until they were completely satisfied. We had one issue that came up after I drove the car the first time and they had to order a new part to fix that problem and did not charge me for the part.Then, the second time after driving I noticed something else and they had a mechanic drive with me so I could point out what I was noticing. They took it back to the shop and made an adjustment for me that really had to do with the car itself and not the work they did. Making sure I was completely satisfied.Meanwhile, I was in constant contact with David so I was always reassured about what was happening.I am driving my jeep again today and I have everyone at this Aamco to thank.Will use this shop for all my car needs.

Both Kirk and David were great! I brought my Jeep in today because I thought I was feeling some weird vibrations so they performed a full check of the transmission and drive train. They provided an explanation of couple minor things that could be causing it (uneven wear on brake pads, low tire pressure) but assured me nothing major was wrong. There was also no charge at all to me for the check which was a pleasant surprise. The team was very personable and nice to work with. I will definitely go back again in the future.

I went to this business to get a second opinion regarding the work needed on my Buick Regal torque converter/transmission. They provided an assessment of the repairs needed and after discussion I decided to have them do the work. I found them to be knowledgeable and honest in their assessment. Oil change and state inspection.Great work - no extra workup for additional services.Base run down of expected future services both urgent and non urgent.Did not try and sell or charge anything additional.Worked on a BMW sedan - some shops don t due to difficulties of euro vehicles.Will gladly use again.Service: Oil change

Seemed to be overly harsh with my car inspection for the purpose of having me fix a bunch of things so they can make more money off my visit. Also, very disorganized - they never made note of my appointment in the system even though I'd called two weeks earlier to schedule. When my husband dropped off the car, they had no idea why he was there. Very disappointed. I chose this place because they had good reviews but my experience was very negative.

I took my car in to have it diagnosed on 5/7/22.The owner David was super friendly n knowledgeable to all my needs, addressing a concern I had for repairing my transmission. His mechanic I worked with was super intelligent AND so was the front desk guy checking me in. Every one were amazing mechanics n were so awesome!The mechanic which test drove my car, was so so sweet n kept it 100% on my concern. I appreciate you trust !I would highly recommend Phoenixville Aamco location for service's. Every single mechanic that worked in the shop on 5/7/22 were superb n each one were handsome/patient to take the time to listen to me. I have an appointment for car inspection and when I arrived for the service I have been told they were busy and need to reschedule 4 days later.These guys even did not call me to reschedule. Never ever again to stop their location for any reason.Edit.First of all I didn t come with the expired sticker. Also, I have added back side of the business card of Kirk who gave me appointment.

I have been getting my inspections done here for the past several years and the service is always amazing! The staff is very knowledgeable and welcoming, and will not oversell you on anything you don t actually need. Best car repair shop by far!

I was driving by had a tire blow out and was able to pull in to this AAMCO location. Even though they don't do tires, Bedjam and Jake came out to take a look and immediately changed the tire for me. They were able to fit me right in and completed the change very quickly and put everything back in my trunk very neatly. If they take care of AUTO repairs like this ~ I would recommend them Highly. I wish they were closer to where I lived!Service: Tires

I would highly recommend anyone in the Phoenixville area to have their vehicle repairs done at this location. The owner David made accommodations to squeeze my vehicle in on short notice and completed my repairs in time.
