Schummers is my go to mechanic in Philly. I wouldn t trust anyone else with my car. They provide excellent service at the most reasonable prices. I know I can trust them for any work that is necessary and their honesty and reliability are top tier. Tried to exploit me, failed then charged 75.40 for repairs they never did. Actually, this is my second time visiting here. On my first visit, I needed an axel boot cover replacement. No can t do, unless I buy a complete new axel for the replacement so I went elsewhere. Today State Inspection brought my own carbine Airfilter and engine Airfilter both due for replacement. They didn't even replace them but claim I have axel leaking onto my brake Caliper and rear stabilizer play so the vehicle cannot pass the State Safety Test. They didn't run any safety Tests on my vehicle and yet they charge me for the inspection and the Safety Sticker Fee. They only fix the emission sticker on my windshield and now holding the safety sticker as leverage to force me to do their made-up repair recommendation at their shop. So pathetic

As a female I'm always very cautious when I go to the mechanic. However, Dan made me feel comfortable from the jump. No one talked at me. They looked at my car and explained what was needed and we agreed on the pricing before anything was done.I ended up adding my oil change and will be back for my mileage tune up. Schummers Auto Repair saved me $1000. My car was originally towed to the AAA shop at 1601 S Christopher Columbus Blvd, Philadelphia. (I'm being specific because you should not take your car there.) AAA wanted to charge me $1400, claiming oil had soaked my ignition coils and spark plugs and everything needed to be replaced. Long story short... I paid the extra money to have my car towed to Shummers and they found that there wasn't excessive oil on the parts. I only needed one ignition coil. After their assessment the bill came down to $400, and that included the extra tow! You can feel comfortable taking your car here.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

These guys are fantastic. Truly took the time to look over what my car needed. My 4runner has over 200K miles and still going strong. The mechanic even took the time to do some touch up paint on my wheels ! Keep up the good work guys ! See ya for the next drink of oil .

Inspection was done in less than an hour, great price! Didn't try to charge me for anything the vehicle didn't need. Customer service was awesome, as I had to reschedule inspection to this location instead of the Kensington location since the inspection mechanic was not at that location the day and time I needed. Thank you!

Not knowing anything about the Pennsylvania inspection process , I called this company up based on Google reviews, they were very friendly, they made an appointment for me , when I got there they got right to work, it was finished in an hour and I was on my way, you can't ask for anything more than that. I definitely will be back there every year .

First thing I noticed is how neat, clean and organized he keeps the shop. Might not be important to everyone but for me it s a good indicator as to how they run the business and conduct themselves. My brother worked at Schummers for years and referred me to them for my used vehicles. My son started taking his car there and we found them to be trustworthy and fair priced. A few months ago he drops his car off and realizes when he gets to school he left his Airpods in there, they were not there when he picked the vehicle up later. I did call and after talking with Dan thought maybe he was mistaken and misplaced them. So we take it back for inspection, the vehicle had been hit so it failed, I pay for the inspection itself and Andrew tells me to bring it back for stickers after the collision place fixes it. The car is totaled and obviously never gets the stickers. My son purchases a new vehicle a few weeks later and we know it needs tires. I send him to Schummers and Andrew tells me after doing the used car Inspection that it needs an additional 1300$ worth of work on top of the $865 he charged him for the tires and some nuts and bolts. He doesn't credit his bill for the money we paid for his previous vehicle and then we take it back to dealer only to find out none of the things he listed are actually needed and were told emphatically that Schummers is known to rip people off...so my 19 year old son who trusted them because my family trusted them was ripped off. Unfortunately the only person we have dealt with there has been Andrew and he is a Complete fraud.I also took my own vehicle to him for inspection in October , he told me it was $340 for a windshield to pass. I declined the windshield because that was a ridiculous price. I took it elsewhere and went back for my sticker on Halloween. Next day i wake up to a flat tire, take it down to pep boys to find out my tires are dry rotted and I could've been in a serious accident as a result. My vehicle was not safe and should not have passed inspection.I have never before felt as scammed as I do by them and worse my child was scammed because we thought we could trust them.

Great people, great service ! Went there for inspection and they go out of their way to help out with random parts of the car that has slight issues. People are extremely nice there and helpful, they take time to answer questions I had which isn t related to their service at all. Definitely gonna become a regular here... or at least whenever my car needs a fix.

This service station is one of the best and friendliest I have ever come across. From the time I drop my car off to the time I pick it up, it is the most pleasant and efficient service stations ever!! I love the great service and highly recommend this establishment to everyone! the staff is great, always honest, never any surprises, and the quality is excellent. if i could give 10 stars i would!. thank you schummer's!

I had a flat tire today at about 7:00am and there was only one guy there at the register. His mechanics didn't come in until 8:00am! The guy at the register helped me and changed my tire!! It wasn't even his job! I appreciate it sooo much and would recommend this Sunoco to anyone! I'm writing this review to say THANK YOU!!

I spoke with someone on the phone at the Kensington location who I nice on the phone and directed me to go to the Mayfair location because that location was booked for the day, when I arrived at the Mayfair location the guy in the office had a rather smart mouth and overall unfriendly disposition. I couldn't get my inspection done because I was told incorrect information and his response was "did someone at a shop tell you that? Because yeah they don't know what they are talking about". All that wasn't necessary, won't be back to this location.

I'm a hack mechanic and I was stuck on an issue where my vehicle wouldn't crank when I turned the key. I knew it was an electrical issue of some sort, but not a simple fix. I was real hesitant about taking it to a dealership as I don't trust many people with my vehicles. I had heard good things about Schummer's and I called and they said they had some great mechanics for electrical issues and the GM diagnostic tools that may have been required. Dan kept me in the loop during the whole process and they ended up tracing the issue to some wires in the tailgate, which sounds ridiculous. They charged me for a few hours of work and I was pleasantly surprised that they really fixed it and the cost was a few hundred dollars, when I was certain I would be spending $1,000 or more at a dealership. I would recommend them to anyone for any issue. Their hours are great, too as you can pickup until 9:00 or 10:00 pm on a weekday since they are a gas station. Thank you Schummer's and keep up the good work!

I live 15 miles away, but there is no other place that I would bring my cars too. They are quick, professional, and above all else, honest. You can trust them with no hesitation. When they tell you what is wrong with your car, you can be confident that it is the truth.

I have had 2 flats replaced by them and they got it done fast both times and had the used tires i needed in stock. Only complaint is the last tire I bought was pretty worn out but for $40 i guess that will work.

We trust Schummer Sunoco with our automobiles, even though it's not in our neighborhood. We've always been treated with respect and never been "upsold" like many of the chain shops tend to do. We get consistent and timely feedback after a diagnosis and after 5 years of service, I can say that I've never had a complaint about their workmanship. 100% recommended.

Terrible!I bought a new tire for my car bc they said they didn't have any used ones for my car. After they put it on and I saw my car there was a pretty big bubble in the "brand new" tire I paid 150 for. I said something to them and said it's late and ready to close to come back tomorrow the tire is fine to drive home on. Next day I called and they said they would never sell a bubbled tire. WHAT SCAM ARTISTS. That day I also noticed my camping equipment was stolen from my trunk. I will never go here again. Young junkies stealing items from hard paying single parents.

I wouldnt take my vehicle to any other shop. Schummer's in Mayfair is amazing and now I'm very glad that there's a Schummer's in Kensington, closer to home. They're honest, ethical and community oriented. A+++ will visit again.

Excellent team of knowledgeable and experience technicians very friendly place a real pleasure to go there.... just want to Guy Horsham posted a review on this "to make sure you got the right address and the right place before you put a review out on somebody you're referring to the Sunoco gas station at Cottman and Torresdale that doesn't have a service Bay I see the owner of this service station questioned you on your post nine months ago but yet you still have it up real nice.. and you're a local reviewer
