Call at 7 am I tried to be very transparent about my car how two other mechanic diagnose it but nothing was ever replaced or touched in the engine itself just to to give history... The man was rude. He told me it would be 125 dollars an hour to diagnose the car which was fine however he told me he did not know how many days it would take to diagnose the car (red flag people) because "other hands were in the cookie jar" as he worded it. I told him I have a warranty on the car he rudely explains he does not change his prices (never ask him to) I am looking for mechanic who won't try to over charge or cheat me because I am a women and will give permanent fix to the problem...whoever owned the shop before must have been a gentleman but the man I spoke to certainly was not.... Will not use the shop .... Have a man call for any inquiries maybe he will get some respect.Sad part about this matter was the shop came recommended.What works out well for one person does not mean it will work out for the next. Reviews are nice to read but but the person disposition is everything

No words to explain save my $2400 on my prius just fix the issue that Toyota mechanic explained me to change the whole battery for prius but these guys are professional in there work. I read the reviews i have no words how nice and cool people are they extremely satisfied from this place. Blind trust people get there and fix your car never charge you any extra amount.Service: Battery

Came in for an oil change, both coolants flushed, and to service the transmission. It saved me a significant amount of money vs going to the dealership. Overall I thought it was a great value.However when I picked up my car there was an issue with the Hybrid Systen and had to bring it back. They kept my car for a few more days and checked everything out for no extra charge. I was extremely grateful for that and will be a returning customer as long as I own a hybrid.

Had my car there a few weeks, they couldn't fix it, gave it back to me with a dead battery from standing there so long. Car died on the way home completely, had to call and wait 3 hours for tow service.Won't be going there again.

These guys saved my 2009 Prius! When the Toyota service center quoted me $3600, I was considering scrapping it and getting another vehicle. Savage was able to fix the car for $490 -- 7x less than the dealer. I definitely will be bringing the car here from now on, especially for hybrid related issues. Can't thank these guys enough for keeping my car running well. So glad I found this place.

I cannot say enough about how excellent the service I received was. They were informative, knowledgeable, and honest. They kept me informed through the entire process. It is clear that they are very passionate about what they do and take their jobs very seriously. If you have a hybrid, you should take it here because all of their mechanics are educated and experienced in handling hybrids (I took my car to a dealer before bringing it here and the dealer was clueless). The mechanics at Savage made sure I understood the problem, what needed to be done, and why. They told me they wanted to make sure I understand everything and invited me to ask as many questions as I need. If you're looking for a mechanic with integrity, honesty, and skill, look no further!

So glad they are honest!My car was wobbling terribly and I thought I caused major damage to my frame somehow when I climbed over snow. Luckily all I needed was 2 front tires! So glad they were honest and did the repair without trying to claim 50 things were wrong with my car (I would have been none the wiser). This is why I go out of my way to get my vehicle to Joe and his sons. They are always fair and honest. I have never felt taken advantage of as a woman bringing my car to the shop! 5 stars for sure!Service: Tires

They are the only ones we let touch our Prius! They know their stuff and are friendly. We got our hybrid battery refurbished there some years ago for half the price as everyone else. They stand by their work. They have great people, the best people. I highly recommend Savage Automotive.

This shop has great techs, is clean and fast. The also have a pretty cool Hybrid Repair department that can repair batteries like new at a fraction of the cost of the dealers, and your getting the same exact batteries. The owner showed me his hybrid repair capabilities and I was impressed. High tech stuff.

I just had a problem with the hybrid system in my Toyota Prius '03. But I am really happy that I took my car to Savage Automobile. They were very responsive, responsible, and courteous. You might tend to judge the shop by looking at its size but don t ever underestimate the capabilities of these people and their technology kit! They explained the issues so well, and in fact showed me a visual of what is going on inside hybrid battery packs. I initially thought 'What difference does it make?'. But the way they treated me and explained me the issues actually made me feel that I got the service I deserved for the money I paid. I think I have finally found the right people for my hybrid car! If you live near Philadelphia and have a problem with your hybrid car, don't look elsewhere!

They serve certain customers better than others. They are not always honest with their diagnostics . The guy who answers the phone and take orders is very arrogant. My car has a minor problems yesterday but they couldnt fix it . The shop down the street fixed the problem the same day..... when they are busy, they dont tell you ...they make you wait . The technicians themselves are ok, but the guy who answers the phone and takes orders doesnt know what he is talking about, he probably doesn't know much about cars.

I am the lead Hybrid Tech and General Manager at Kamphaus Auto Care in Hanover Park, IL. When I have something odd, or need technical advice, Joe has always taken the time to help me out. His shop is of the highest quality for hybrid vehicle repair and all automotive repair. He is the guy I'd send my family to in the northeast for any repairs because I know I can trust his shop, him personally and the quality work they produce. Thank you Joe and the crew at Savage!!!

Joe from Savage Automotive is by far the best knowledgable mechanic that I know in the area. Not only is him and his team experts with Hybrid vehicles but also with other makes and models. The repair costs are competitive and although you may have to either schedule in advance or wait a bit if walking in, you'll feel assured that you are driving away with a repair well done! Joe is respectful, professional, honest and explains in detail what is wrong with the vehicle. You can't go wrong with Savage Automotive.

We have been bringing our cars to Savage Automotive for over 35 years for routine car maintenance and major repairs; fortunately not many of the latter. We know that Tad and now Joe will always give us an honest assessment of any problem the cars may have. Savage Automotive has all of the latest repair and analysis equipment. All repairs have been done correctly, quickly and at fair price.

Can't more highly recommend a mechanic, especially for hybrid cars. Has repaired my Prius twice now and did an amazing job for a very reasonable price.

I made an appointment on a Thursday for d following monday, was told to come at 8 am , I got there at 7:45 I was told to park sumwhere on d street I waited patiently until 11:00 am. So I go back inside and ask him how much longer, he tells me as soon as his mechanic finishes I'm next. 1:15 rolls around n I'm so pissed, I waited 5 long hours and d guy never even calls me, no explanation or nothing, like he could care less. Worst experience at a shop ever.

Good work at fair prices. My only complaint is my CD case went MISSING!!! Shame, now I'll have to empty out my vehicle if I go back.

$ 1,000 later and the car runs the same as when I brought it there. I don t even know if he did anything to it. Complete waste of money. If you have a BMW don t go there, complete scam!!!!

If u have any type of vehicle which has a complicated problem u need to quickly get ur vehicle over to Savage Automotive only because there is nothing they can't fix...not on any vehicle they are truly THE BEST !

I called to get estimate for work and the dude there was entirely unprofessional he asked me to stay on hold I said yea then about ten mins go by then I literally hear him hang up the phone and then I called back and didn t get an answer after that definitely wouldn t recommend 0stars for customers service
