Quick turnaround and super friendly! Prices are reasonable compared to other shops in the area. No appointments which makes it easy to get in and out.

I had a one-star experience due to a significant price discrepancy communicated by John over the phone. Initiallyi was told the radiator repair would cost $335, the final total with labor was $915. My main issue was not being told the full price labor included before accepting the service, because had I known I would ve reconsidered or at least waited till I got everything replaced. I expressed my grievance, hoping for acknowledgment or clarification, but instead, John called me a liar and refused accountability. I came in the store to level with him based on the miscommunication not really trying to barter the price lower but just explain my grievance yet he just disrespected me further. Kudos to the attendant who empathized with my situation, truly the only reason why this place gets a star. Be wary when dealing with John, and consider this before choosing this service. These guys are top notch. I was stuck in Philadelphia after my Honda Odyssey tie rod broke, a friend recommended them and I am so lucky to have come across them, they finished the job in record time, charged me a reasonable fee and are super friendly on top of it. Thank you again John and the team, if I lived in the area I would not hesitate to come back to you!

Best place for repairs in the Philly area! A shop with an honest and knowledgeable owner (John) that goes above and beyond to make sure your car is in mint condition. I had an issue with my crankshaft and camshaft sensors and John was able to repair them and even brought someone in from a dealership to perform a diagnostic relearn (I took it to a dealership beforehand and they gave me a hard time about doing a relearn). John made me feel so valued, even as a new customer, and I will be bringing my car in here for all future repairs. Service was timely and pricing was fair. As a woman, I really appreciated the time he took to explain how each part functioned in relation to the repairs he was performing. Thank you!Service: General repairs & maintenance

This guy has no clue what he is doing, installed factory inner tie rods on a lifted truck when in fact he should have installed same brand as lift kit.Instead he cut down factory tie rods "to make fit" i ended up needing to pay the shop he recomended to fix his screw up.Do not recommend to anyone. such lack of experience and responsibility, he won't even make up for his mistake.Can't believe there dummys are still open. Someone please shut them down.

I WILL NEVER TAKE MY CAR ANY WHERE ELSE!The guy John (I think the owner or manager) is the man. My wife s equinox had a issue with the power steering (I was out of town) so she drove it to the closest place we ve never used before ( won t name names) and they end up telling her $850 for new pump and other work. I wasn t there but it didn t sound right to me over the phone. My friend recommended These guys (before they moved to the current Norris St location back on American street). So long story short- her make and model doesn t even a power steering pump!! John and the crew had her out in 2 Hours for an amazing price! Another time we brought our explorer to them as the car was driving weird. He called me 30 min later saying it was just a loose cable. He easily could have charged me and banged me for something and I never woulda known. He wouldn t even. Let me pay said it took 2 min to tighten. These guys are the best. I dropped my car off for inspection and an hour later, I got the call to pick it up. So quick! Everywhere else I've gone in the past, I have to drop it off early in the morning and wouldn't get a call until the end of the day. Maybe I was just lucky and caught them on a not so busy day.A few weeks later, I had new tires mounted and balanced at Norris Square Automotive. When I pulled up, all the bays were full of cars so I figured it would be a while until I got my car back. However, like when I got the car inspected, I got a call about 45 min later letting me know my car was ready!John and his staff are true professionals and I'd trust them to fix any of my car related issues. The shop is clean and the front desk receptionist, Amber, is always so welcoming. Seriously, give these guys a shot. I've FINALLY found a Phily auto repair shop that has given me a positive experience and isn't run by a sketchy crew.Services: Tires, General repairs & maintenance, Wheel alignment

Easily the nicest mechanic in the city and possibly the best mechanic experience I've ever had period.My girlfriend had always taken her car to John whenever she needed work done and they were always fast, efficient and fair with prices and she was always happy. More recently she took her car across country and a mechanic in Texas said her alternator belt was bad, but fearing he was taking advantage she waited til she could get back to John to look at it. He was honest enough to inspect the belt and say it was totally fine and only charged her for the oil change and inspection she needed.Having such great reviews, I got my classic van looked at here because it was having a squeak in the wheel. John went over it and im more than happy with the results and what he had to say.The entire staff is super nice and I love the new location. A+ work. I recommend this place 100%

Was referred to Norris Square Auto by a neighbor. Was happy I got the car serviced here. The owner was honest, respectful and easy to work with. He explained I could pass inspection but recommended stuff the car needed soon to avoid future issues. As I drive many miles for work, I need a reliable vehicle. They were fast, thorough and friendly. They went above and beyond for me and I will be back in the future. It's nice to have a reputable local shop! If your car needs something, give them a call or stop by. People were friendly and price was fine. But when they replaced the oil they either damaged or didn't see damage with the o ring so it leaked and I had to bring it back. They didn't charge so will definitely give them another shot.Updating a few months later to 5 stars. Came back and oil change and emissions test we're quick and not too pricey. When my check engine light was still on a went in and they came right out to the car, looked up how to get it to turn off and did it in 1 minute. They will be my go to from now on.

Showed up right when they opened at 8:00am and was told they could have my state inspection done in an hour. Received a phone call almost exactly on the hour letting me know my inspection was complete. The young lady at the front desk and the mechanic who pulled my car out for me were both friendly and professional. Didn't get a chance to chat with them much, but my experience couldn't have gone much smoother. Will likely bring my truck back for servicing next time it needs work done.Service: General repairs & maintenance

My car had been sitting for a year so I wanted it to get a full look over. I picked Northern Liberties Auto Clinic because it had great reviews and was close by. Besides needing an inspection, I specifically asked them to check the battery since it hadn't been used in a year and was most likely dead.Well they did the inspection and told me the battery was actually just fine. What a relief! I was very surprised, but they told me it was hooked up to the machine and passed inspection. Well I drove away to go to a doctors appointment, and afterwards went to start my car....and the battery was dead. I had it towed to another shop who told me the battery could not hold a charge. How did the staff at Northern Liberties Auto Clinic not think to turn off my car and try and restart it?! Especially when I specifically expressed concern about the battery. If they cannot be trusted with such a common sense, basic, quick and easy test, I wouldn't trust them with anything.I would not trust them to change my air filter.Edit after response from the owner: When you make a mistake, its better to admit it then to deny it. To say "your battery that was sitting for a year, was fine when it left our shop", and then to have it completely die and not hold a charge 10 minutes later is beyond absurd. Either someone did not to a good job, or their equipment is faulty. Now I also doubt the quality of the rest of my inspection.Also air filters are extremely easy to replace, hence the joke

Incredible service, cannot recommend enough. This is the only review i have written, needed to give a good review.I brought my CRV in for a stolen converter, broken window, brakes, and new battery, as well as needed inspection. John quoted me a very modest quote for all of this. All services were performed with quality parts and in very timely fashion. He then changed my oil, cleaned up broken glass from the interior, and installed the new license plate all free of charge without asking.Car is running good as new. Great, honest work.

My daughters car died and had it towed to Northern Liberties Auto Clinic. I picked his shop because of his reviews. It was just a bonus that it was down the road from my daughter's apartment. He received the car and replaced the alternator and battery. Unfortunately something was still amiss. John quickly diagnosed the issue and repaired the issue. Honest service and professionalism is the least I can say about John and his shop, Will definitely be using his service again in the future!

Came for a state inspection. Easy in, Easy Out. Fair price. Everywhere else said 'they were full' but a state inspection should take like 5 minutes?? First place that I found that were with the program. Also the people were super friendly!

No Libs Auto Clinic has been taking care of my car for the past couple years and I couldn t be happier with their service!! It s easy to schedule and the time it will take to be done is always how long they say it will be. No issues ever with the work they do. Plus, they are always honest with what my car needs and the price is always a good one. Thank you for always providing excellent service!

I can't believe I never left a review until now - I have been coming here for almost a decade since their previous location on American and will not go anywhere else unless I have no choice.The owner John will take care of what you ask, no upselling or addons, at super reasonable cost. On one of my first services here, I asked for an additional service for my vehicle at the time - a CVT fluid change - after some initial googling. John talked me out of getting it, saying my car did not need it. It turns out I did not do my research correctly and he was right, saving me a lot of hassle even though I explicitly requested something foolish (customer is always right, right?).Since then I have brought my and my wife's car exclusively here and have been fully taken care of no matter what, every time without fail. We will continue to come to John for our vehicles as long as we live in Philadelphia.Services: Tires, Electrical, Brakes, Battery, Oil change

I appreciate how John took my car in fast. He called me back within 15 mins to give me the diagnosis and cost of the repair. I got my car back within 4 hours . His price was good but ultimately the great and fast service sold me on doing more business with Northern Liberties Auto Clinic. Thank you guys.

I was recommended to Northern Liberties Auto Clinic from a trusted friend and could not be more pleased! The service I ve received each and every visit is top notch. I feel like I m treated like family by not only John but all of his workers. I cannot explain the security I feel from their repairs. I will tell anyone and everyone about how great of a place like NLAC is. Thank you John and team, I appreciate you all so much!

I have been coming here for years! Johnny is always available within a very reasonable timeframe if not right away, even when he's really busy, he does great work, and I never take my car anywhere else when I have an issue or need any routine maintenance. Would recommend 100%

I've taken my car to big name places such as Pepboys, I've tried a mom and pop shop. Both misdiagnosed my car for a rattling noise in my rear suspension. In fact Pepboys fixed something else and the other shop just told me my brakes needed to be worn in. I lived with the rattling noise for a few more months, and I began to be discouraged that I could find a good shop. Well Northern Liberties Auto Clinic went above and beyond. They were very polite and very helpful. In fact they were offering that if the work they did, did not solve the rattling issue, to bring my car back and he would fix it free of charge. Therefore they stand behind their work and they have great customer service. After trying 4-5 other shops. I've concluded that my car is sticking to this one. You can't go wrong bringing your car here. They are trustworthy and you can drive comfortable knowing your car was here.

There are two things I can not entrust just to anyone, that s my hair (lol) and my car. Yes, a GOOD HAIRDRESSER and a GREAT MECHANIC/ AUTO SHOP is extremely important to me...With that said, being a female who does not have much knowledge about cars and who has been tricked a time or two, I was in search of a new mechanic/ auto shop, then I came across NORTHERN LIBERTIES AUTO CLINIC about 5 years ago. Since then, I have been a REGULAR SATISFIED CUSTOMER. Customer service is EXCELLENT!John, the owner and his workers are GREAT GUYS. They are men of integrity, never once have I felt cheated. They go the extra mile to help me understand my car. They always explain in detail what s wrong with the car, what needs to get done and actually show me what was replaced.So for me being someone who understands the importance of providing great customer service, it s so refreshing to know that I finally found a mechanic/ auto shop that provides excellent customer service and who has put my heart at easy. They have definitely won my trust.EXTREMELY SATISFIED CUSTOMER WITH A CAR THAT RUNS NICELY

I think it's hard to find a good mechanic, and NLAC is an awesome one. Their shop is quick, responsive and great to deal with. I never feel like they are talking over my head or trying to sell me on other services. They are honest and extremely helpful. I would recommend them to anyone and will only take my care there.

BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE I VE EVER EXPERIENCED!! I brought my car in to replace the alternator and suddenly my car started making a squeaking noise so I brought it back, they adjusted some stuff and it was still making the noise so they replaced whatever it needed with another brand and all is good now! They never hesitated, asked any questions or fought me about it. Most places get real defensive and divert blame. I will definitely be using this shop for all my future car repair needs!

Just left here and can t say enough how amazing John is. I brought in my Jeep after being quoted close to $200 at pepboys to fix a headlight connection. John not only found the real issue but also did not charge me! I can not recommend Northern Liberties Auto Clinic enough :)

Brought my JDM Imported van here for inspection, I arrived a few minutes before they opened, and they were already open and ready to talk. They had no concerns about my special case car, it's a pre-1990 Diesel, and they had no problems inspecting it. They finished before the time they quoted me, and a very fair price. I trusted them with my car and I would recommend them to anyone!
