I went to Larry a little over a year ago and got my ECM replaced. It was not cheap, but I was happy to have it done at the time. Several months later, I started having a series of more minor vehicle issues, mostly related to getting the car to start. Eventually, it became clear that the wiring from my repair was not done properly which was causing many of the issues; there was even a roll of electrical tape found under the hood of my vehicle. Ultimately, I had to pay even more money to have the job done properly elsewhere.Service: Electrical

Always a great experience going to Larry's auto. His one mechanic Joel is very knowledgeable about all different kinds of cars and will definitely make sure your vehicle is in Tip-Top shape before getting on the road. I highly recommend him and this shop

Replaced a wheel bearing that had nothing wrong with it and charged me 400 and lied and said that my cars problems was now fixed cause of the bearing he s not honest and has people that know nothing about cars working for him.

Larry s was able to see me same day when I had an urgent issue with my brakes. He was informative about what the issue was and even helped me identify things I did not need fixed on my car which I had been told by another shop.In the end, I got great service, honest and fair pricing, and even was saved money on something I thought would break the bank. Would highly recommend Larry s.

Larry is great. I feel well taken care. He was also respectful to my wife by herself when describing a car issue. many auto shops talk down to women.

Larry is fair, thorough, and is just a great guy. As a woman, going to a mechanic can often be a less-than-stellar experience, but Larry always makes me feel welcome, listens and respects my opinion, and does a great job for a fair price. Best mechanic ever!

Just got a used car that had some problems and took it to this guy. Had my car for 3 weeks, charged me over 1k, replaced a bunch of things that had nothing to do with the car s immediate problem, didn t change the oil which was filthy, never looked at the battery and saw that the terminals were super corroded. He even gave me a list of problems that were wrong with the car and after 3 weeks only managed to fix 3 minor problems and said to come back for the rest. The car shutoff the day after I took it from his shop. The only reason I found any of this out is because I had someone else come look at it and do the repairs. Now it runs fine, but this shop is definitely a scam shop. I would ve spent half this price by going with an honest mechanic. I probably would ve been better off with getting an addict to fix the car smh. Lesson learnedService: General repairs & maintenance

Yep he's very friendly (unlike his help) until you expect him to stand by his diagnosis and work... then you discover his much colder and unprofessional side. Went to him for a diagnosis only. For the first time, his guy went ahead and did work without my approval. I trusted them and gladly paid over $300 when it seemed like the problem was corrected. 2 days later the problem returned! All I got from him was increasing hostility when I politely sought at least a discount on future work. Would have sued or filed an official complaint if I knew more about the process and had time. This wasn't the first time that l'd had repeat problems with his work but those were less expensive and he had begrudgingly done follow-up for pretty reasonable extra costs. I've heard similar accounts from friends. Larry was COLD like a thug. NEVER again.

I have been coming to Mr.Larry's for over 20 years. He has always been upfront & honest with his service & prices. I only had 1 bad experience here with a mechanic that was hellbent on doing something "his way" which ended up damaging the front bumper to my car. Mr.Larry immediately retified the problem. Other than that, I have nothing but glowing comments & remarks for Mr.Larry. I just dropped off my 2002 Ford Explorer to him about 1 hour ago & he did what I was expecting: He asked me probing questions about the vehicle, if I was aware of any issues with it, whom I purchased it from, & things of that nature. He will call me in a few days with a good price and a completed list of all that I asked him to do. He is as consistent as he is knowledgeable.

Had my back brakes change and it was a while ordeal... they cracked my caliber changing my pads an had the audacity to tell me it was like that before they changed my brakes. The owner is rude an doesn't stand on his work/shop/business name in regards to resolving this matter. Will never in life use this place

Mr. Larry is THE definition of a friendly neighborhood mechanic. He's thorough, professional, and knowledgeable: a skilled craftsman and an honest/reliable mechanic. I would recommend him, without hesitation, to anyone looking for professional, affordable, and friendly service.

Mr. Larry fixed my car where another place didn't finish the job after I was hit in a car accident. He was fair, great with updates and communication; and my car was purring when I left! He's a magician (or just awesome at what he does). Oh, here's the kicker, he gave me an awesome car calendar too! Larry's Auto Repair is the best in the city. I live in South Philly but I gladly drive to Larry's Auto Repair in West Philly.

Careful with Larry, they left a piece of metal in the brakes to make it squeal. Good return customer idea!

I bought a used car from here about 3 months ago. I had work done from here before, so I trusted Larry when he said the car ran well. The car overheated just two days after driving and stopped on me twice, including once right after I pulled off the highway.Larry and his staff were surprisingly nasty every time I called or bought the car in.I was blamed for the problems the car was having and Larry repeatly said he never had any problems with the car. His tune changed "a little" when I told him the horn doesn't even work. I bought again after it stopped a third time. Larry and his staff keep me in limbo for 6 weeks. No phone calls or anything. I had to do all calling and going up there, constantly getting the running around, while spending $$ on Uber and nearly losing my job.Last Friday, I told him to stop playing games because I was already $3,000 in the hole from this car. He gave me a check for a $1,000.00 after I surrendered the title. This is also when he admitted the car had a rebuilt engine. Never would have bought the car had I KNOWN THAT! He shouldve done this a month ago. He knew he sold me garbage.Then he had the nerve to call some young guy up there for protection like I was some sort of a thug. What a piece of work.

Great service & prices! Mr.Larry is an iconic staple to the neighborhood and he is extremely trustworthy! I have been going here since I was 18. I am 43 now. Lol!

larry auto shop is unproffesional and second rate in there service .i took my car to larrylast month and he literal told me he does not check your oil or battery not unless the customer request the service please general public do not support this establishment you will save mire money and less agravation in the ling run
