These guys are just hands down the best shop I've gone to in Philly. We have brought our Honda Fit and Jeep Compass here a handful of times for different things over the last couple of years and the service is always great. Very honest and straightforward and they do great work quickly!

I was in need of major maintenance as I was coming up on 100,000 miles. KX made a note of everything they knew would need serviced when I took the car in for an oil change in order to have on file when my inspection came up. I scheduled the inspection and they gave me a full estimate before I even got there. They pay close attention and care to each vehicle they service and are so organized! They give great explanations on everything going on with your car. I m glad to have an ongoing relationship with KX that I can trust safety and price-wise!

One of the best car repair shops in Philly. Super friendly and always answer any questions you may have. They explain everything in detail and show you pictures and videos to help. These guys are super knowledgeable with all their repairs and as everyone else has already said they won t upsell or make a repair that isn t needed. They ll always recommend what should be done in the future and give you an estimate for that. I ve been taking my car here for past 2 years.

I can t say enough great things about this place - I won t take my car anywhere else! Costs are always reasonable and I ve never had them try to upsell me on anything I didn t need. I really appreciate that they will take the time to explain the work they ve done, and most recently gave me tips for maintenance. Best to try to make an appointment in advance, as I do find sometimes they can be booked (but I love that for them)! Friendly, honest place, and I definitely recommend.

These guys deserve an award. I called them around 5pm after discovering a flat tire. I didn't imagine anyone would be able to help on such short notice, let alone right away. They had it fixed within an hour for $27.KX was my go-to mechanic for over 5 years, but when I moved a little further away I had switched to someplace slightly closer to where I live now. After my experience tonight, I can't really imagine going anywhere else for my car needs.

These guys are the absolute best. Ive never felt pressured or uncomfortable or swindled in any way like i have at other places. They are so honest and nice and the prices are amazing. They plugged my flat tire for like $70 and replaced my boyfriends mirror (when it got clipped completely off in south philly) for like $120. Every year i almost feel obligated to get them Christmas presents lol thats how much i love them. 100000% recommend.

Took my GX here for a quick tire rotation and wheel spacer install. Staff was knowledgeable and friendly and the price was beyond fair. Would highly recommend this shop to anyone, including those who are into modding their cars.

As a woman, I felt the need to put a review & I'll tell you why. First, let me make it clear, KX Auto is my only auto shop. I personally will take my car there & feel comfortable. This is for the women who are looking for an auto shop.I've been going to KX since 2018 or 2019, I can't remember. These guys have solid work ethic & provide quality service to my car. They've seen both mine & my husband's car & provide fair pricing. They're the only people I trust with our car now because they've helped me troubleshoot my oil issue & they're the only ones that know what to do. Since then, I'm stuck- love this auto shop.They're thorough, explain everything to me, they'll take pictures & send it to me to show me the issue, they've given me time to make a decision if it's a big fix, I'll even do my research & try to figure out what I'm saying & what I find is that they're honest too & if I have any questions they don't make me feel dumb because I'm a woman-- I've gone to places that have made me feel pretty uncomfortable. They have seen me move through life as a single to married woman. Despite me having my husband, if I dropped off the car they'll call me & provide updates/inquire what I want to do next. I don't know about you, but I want that. I feel respected in this small way that they treat me. I don't feel sterotyped or made out to be not as competent with my car. They'll communicate with me as they do with him. Super professional & I hope they never leave the Philadelphia area or be forced out of business.Parking can be hard because they're located on Washington Ave. There's construction & a new apartment is coming in so I don't know how that'll impact accessibility to them. But, I'm going to keep coming.This is the only auto shop I d recommend & given other reviews, that means they get booked up & busy. So, if you need something serviced, regularly like an oil change or inspection, I d schedule it out in advance. If you re in a bind, they ll try to work it out & help you.My only concern is that I dont know when these guys go on vacation. Honest concern because I want this auto shop around for a long time. If they scheduled a 2 week vacation I wouldn't be mad & just schedule my services before or after.This is how an auto shop should be. I should've written this years ago!!

After 3+ years of trying to get multiple mechanics to actually fix my 2008 Civic s AC rather than just pumping it with coolant, I finally found these guys. The mechanics at KX Auto listened to me and heard my theories about the issue. I thought there was a leak because the coolant always ran out after about 2 weeks of it being filled up. Other mechanics always fought me on this theory and refilled the coolant/recharged the AC anyway, but not the professionals at KX Auto!The mechanics here took the time to figure out the root cause and fix the problem - it ended up being a leak in the compressor. Not only that - they also explained in detail what the issue was, what tests they had run to diagnose it, how they were going to fix it, etc. After replacing the compressor, they ran an additional test to ensure that the leak was fixed. Super respectful and trustworthy mechanics run this place. Every time I blast my car s AC in the summer heat, I thank them!!

I've been going to this place for years now and never had a complaint. At worst they often don't have same day appointments, but for the service they provide they deserve to be booked up. Highly recommend, I'm so glad I stumbled across them when I moved to the area.

Very professional and quick service. They stayed past opening hours to finish the job. That shows character. They were very respectful towards their customers and explained everything in easy to understand terms. I read a review from a female that came here and I can see how they were comfortable and respected. I d send my girlfriend here over other shops. Thank you KX Auto!

Impeccable service. My car was dead and wouldn t jump. They didn t have any appts available but the manager said they could try to start with a more powerful portable charger if time freed up since I was parked only 2 blocks away. A couple hours later, a guy walked over with the charger, started and drove my car to the garage for testing, and replaced the battery as indicated, calling and explaining each step of the way. Saved my day. This is the kind of service that customers come back to a local business for and I ll definitely be back for my future car service needs.Services: Auto battery replacement, Auto battery maintenance, Battery

These guys are the real deal. Incredibly helpful and priced very fairly for the quality of work. I can't reccomend KX enough for your automotive needs. They are honest mechanics who care about their customers. They are very knowledgeable, communicate issues clearly and thoroughly and are reasonably priced. On top of that, they do things the right way but not cutting corners to save time, as they are passionate about the quality of work they provide.

This shop is by far the best shop I ve been to in a very long time. The reviews were good but never thought my experience would match. These guys are absolutely amazing!! I came here for a second opinion and I m glad I did. The issue the other shop told me I had was definitely not the issue and in the end KX auto saved me hundreds of dollars. Ming took the time out to show me the real issue my car had and explaining the repairs it actually needed. Right away I knew I was in good hands. Extremely honest and trustworthy guys at KX Auto that truly care and are really there for their customers. It was a lovely experience and for once I didn t find myself worried about being ripped off or being taken advantage of because I m a woman. I am truly grateful to have found these guys and wished I had found them sooner. I highly recommend KX Auto to all of my friends, family and to anyone that s looking for a legit mechanic shop with honest and fair prices . They don t make mechanics like this anymore.

KX has been my go to trusted mechanic shop since 2018. I first heard about them from a friend referral. The owners are extremely humble and knowledgable of what they're doing. They always educate me on how to properly maintain my car without making it sound difficult. They are very transparent on their process and always make sure they let me know what the issue is without even asking. Their pricing is very fair and even encouraged me to check out other alternatives to help reduce my previous engine issue costs.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Oil change

My experience really was as good as most of the other reviews. I almost didn't believe how good their reviews were until I tried KX for myself. First, I had a flat tire and brought it in to be patched. Very quick and very reasonable price. While I was there, I made an appointment to have our AC looked at. Our AC hadn't worked in years and about a year ago I had another Philly mechanic look at it. He had simply tried to refill it and that only worked for a few days before the refrigerant leaked out again. KX actually fixed it. They drained the system, pressurized it with air, found the leak, replaced that part and refilled the system. After about a month, the AC is still working great. Couldn't be happier, and I won't consider going anywhere else. My only advice would be to be patient about an appointment. They're crazy busy because they're crazy good, so plan to schedule an appointment ahead of time.Services: Tires, A/C installation & repair

These brothers are awesome. I have been patronizing this business for a few years now and this review is long overdue. from the very first visit, as a female i never felt intimidated like how other mechanics/auto shops make females feel. they are very honest, the work they do is awesome and i have never had any complaints and/or problems from the service this shop provides. I was driving on Washington Ave on my way home when my engine started to overheat. We pulled over and saw that the coolant was low, so we decided to walk over to the nearest auto store to buy some coolant. On the way there, we passed by KX Auto (way passed closing time, this was around 8-9pm). The gentleman working was kind enough to take a quick look at my engine and clearly explained what was going on and how to fix it. He said that, because it was a water pump leak, the car would continue to overheat due to coolant leaking. He was nice enough to not only top off my coolant tank but also gave us enough extra water in case the engine started overheating again on the way home due to too much water leaking.All this to say, highly recommend this joint! They are knowledgeable about all auto issues and are able to explain things in layman terms so you are informed about what s going on. You can tell that they care about their work and their customers! I wasn t charged a dime that night - you can bet that I am going to be bringing my car to them from now on and recommending them to everyone I know. KX is a fantastic garage - I have had excellent experiences working with them for the last 3-4 years and would recommend them to anyone. They are fair, honest, and do great work -- I have had multiple repairs done (e.g., radiator, axles) as well as regular maintenance and inspections. Can't say enough good things about these guys - would highly recommend. 5 stars plus.

My go-to mechanic in Philadelphia. After visiting several other auto shops in Philly, it's clear that Ming and his team provide the most professional, honest, trustworthy, and knowledgeable service. Their prices are incredibly fair, they do work quickly, and they're very communicative.It's not always easy to walk into an auto shop and be treated fairly/neutrally as a 24 y/o woman, but these guys have been very respectful about my knowledge (or lack of) in the auto department, and take the time to answer my questions diplomatically. I've been getting my oil changes done here for over a year and they also recently helped me do an out-of-state inspection. I'm loathe to move away from Philly because I'd like to stick with this auto shop forever!

Let me remind you I am a woman, in my 20's and I get treated like I am an idiot by mechanics a lot. What the mechanics don't know is that I am an engineer and I have a pretty good understanding of how cars work.I actually had my inspection done the first round at Mina Motors. I also mentioned to the mechanic that my AC wasn't working well. I was trying to tell the guy that I went to Pep Boys for the AC test and they told me I needed a new compressor ($1,000 +). The mechanic lit up a cigarette in the middle of me talking, looked absolutely uninterested and not attentive.When they finished the inspection, he told me two of my tires had worn treads and cannot pass inspection. I purchased the car a year prior with four brand new tires and drove maybe 200 miles total since then. So I definitely knew I didn't need new tires and he was trying to rip me off thinking I am an idiot who didn't know anything. So I just got the sticker for my emissions test and decided to look elsewhere. I saw the reviews on KX automotive on a similar case so I came to these guys.I walked into KX automotive, explained what happened, they called me when the inspection was done, and told me my tires were all new and fine, and I passed the inspection. For the AC, they told me I just needed two new rubber rings that are worn out and leaking coolant from the pipes, which were literally $2.50 each. I forget how much fixing my AC was but it was something stupid cheap cheap like $15-$25. They didn't charge me extra for "AC evaluation" for $60 like other places do.Since then I've only had really good experiences with these guys. A woman hit my car and broke my taillight and I called them up, which they know immediately when I call now who I am and what kind of car I have, and they told me they are busy right now but will call back later. They called back in a couple hours, and have called all the junk yards and dealers around the area for a cheap taillight but had no luck. I was so appreciate they were trying to save me money (even though it was not coming out of my pocket). I bought the taillight off ebay and went to them and they replaced the taillight for $20. When I ask them questions, they are always super respectful and most importantly, very knowledgeable! I can definitely tell they know what they are doing and it's not just a stab in the dark, like some other places.Like some bad reviews here, they might be too busy to take you, or open 30 minutes late then they advertise, but for me, reliability and honestly is the most important. I'll wait 30 minutes any day to save me thousands of dollars.

Made my day to have finally found my go to mechanic! In my experience living here 6 years, so many places do a half @$$ job. Specifically, my a/c hasn t been cool making driving on hot days such a pain. The dealership and independent mechanics couldn t figure out why or more likely it s because they didn t care to inspect closely. When I came here for an oil change and safety inspection, Ming alerted me the cabin filter was dirty and recommended changing - and at a really affordable price. Voila, my a/c has never been colder and right in time with this 100+ heat. This place is thorough, friendly/professional, and incredibly honest! Folks are awesome here and a special thanks to Ming!

Ming took the time to explain my car s repairs and show me the parts that were replaced. He went out of his way to examine extra details of my car because he knew I was going on a long road trip. He provided a detailed, itemized pricing and documentation before and after the work. I feel confident that he was fair, went above and beyond in terms of finding low priced parts, labor, and care; and that my car was well taken care of and is safe for a long trip. Ming s co-workers were super nice as well (especially the one who rides a particularly rad motorcycle) Thx KX Auto!

These guys rock. I ve been taking my car for inspection and maintenance here for 3 years. When I was comparing them, their prices were consistently 30-40% lower than the other shops near center city. They also had great attitude, super honest, and timely. Even let me bring my own parts in and just charge me labor. Could not be more impressed. I hope they stick around here for a long time so I don t have to find another garage. Keep it up team!!!
