Absolutely terrible experience. They charged me $45 to simply look at the car and provide a diagnosis of rear shock repair. Told me that they could not order the parts because it was a BMW and I needed to order the parts myself. When I asked for an itemized receipt with a specific part to order, they told me that they couldn t provide me with one since they didn t so anything. I absolutely do not recommend this mechanic to anyone.

I came here to get a 2nd opinion on a rotor/brake replacement. It turned out the dealership was right, I did need them replaced. The dealership was trying to charge me over 1200 dollars for full brake/rotor replacement. I ended up buying the front rotors/brakes myself from a different place but Central Auto replaced the back brakes/rotors (I bought these from them) and the front brakes/rotors. This came to about 530 dollars total! I bought the front stuff myself which was only about 250 so i saved almost 500 dollars here! Also, the woman who works behind the counter, (I believe she said she is the owner) is really nice and the guy who worked on my car was kind as well! Very good experience overall.

Came in to get state inspection and emission sticker done on 10/27/23 walked in at 8:26am and was out by 8:56am. Everyone was so nice and polite it was fast & quick service & was on $75.60 which was cheaper than other places I called will be back there next year.

This was the quickest and easiest inspection I ve ever gotten, and the staff couldn't have been kinder. All told, I was in and out with new stickers in less than 40 minutes. I'll be going here from now on!

Great place for car service, have done inspection and oil changes many times here. Price is affordable and they only do repairs that they really think necessary.

DONT GO HERE!!!!! It was horrible they tell u one price on the phone then when u get there it s higher and they charge $5 just to use a card. I came 2 weeks ago because my antifreeze was leaking and my car was over heating and while it was getting done they told I had a oil issue and all that needed to be done was a flush so it won t leak anymore. It over headed a week later. I took it back and said y all didn t fix the problem and they told me no u only came for a oil change because of their mistake of missing that, after me refreshing their memories, the antifreeze was not gonna be charged for me this was told to me on the phone. Then when I get there they wanted to charge me. Worst experience in my life.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Their mechanic isn't very good. They weren't able to diagnose the problem with my car after having it for over a week. The next mechanic I took it to said that the issue was obvious.Also, their mechanic is available only between Wednesdays and Fridays. So if he touches your car on Friday and you still have an issue with it, you gotta wait until the following Wednesday before he can check it out.And they're not cheap by any means. For what you pay you would expect way better.

A friend of mine went here and was so blown away by how bad it was. Terrible service, extremely rude, inaccurate quotes, way overpriced. Looking to make a buck on people who need help. Don t bother!!!!!

I've been a customer since 2017 and they are quick, fast and efficient. This is not your luxury car repair shop and it reflects in the price they charge you! Best Auto Service in West Philly! They made repairs to the engine of my old beater car for super cheap and completed the inspection on my new electric vehicle in a couple minutes. I went there for a state inspection and oil change, and things went quite smooth. Went there a second time for a tire issue, and the nice old black guy just told me "they charge too much here and I can get the problem fixed at a much cheaper place". Came for an inspection and they were quick and communicative about the costs. An issue was discovered and they immmidately addressed it. Fair prices. Very friendly & reasonably priced - I didn t have an appointment & they were upfront and honest about how long the wait would be.. it was still less than an hour for a Saturday. They did my PA state inspection within 40-minutes, we re very careful to keep my car clean inside, and very friendly. Will be my go-to auto center from now on.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I got my inspections done as well as an oil change. It was quick, and fairly priced. The employees were friendly and very helpful. I would definitely recommend this place and I will be going back for my car needs.

BEWARE! My college age daughter went to these scam artists for an oil change today. She doesn t know much about cars, so when they asked what service she wanted she said she wasn t sure. She has a Honda Civic without a ton of miles. They did NOT quote her a price before hand. She had $50 ready- as that is a reasonable price for that oil change. But they preyed on her ignorance and brought her car out to her with a $90 bill for a fancy oil change she didn t need! She got to dip into her food money for the month to pay for her exorbitant oil change and called me crying after about how she was going to have to go without food for a few days because of these people. Yup- she should have asked and had a firm quote up front. But they are obviously fine preying on children if they can make a quick buck.Service: Oil change

Absolutely painless process for inspection, the lowest price I think I ve ever paid ($75 total) Walked in with no appointment on a Saturday and was out in less than an hour. Will be back.

Such great service! They took care of my car the same day I brought it in and even double and triple checked it to make sure there were no problems. The mechanic spoke with me afterwards to comprehensively explain what was wrong and even showed me the old part that he had to remove from my car. The couple who owns this shop is so sweet and compassionate. Would recommend this shop to anyone!!!!

Amazing service. I got there for a vehicle inspection just as they were closing but they kindly took me in, took care of the car within 30 minutes, and had me out of there. They were SO kind and SO professional. Absolutely would recommend this place to anyone.

On a whim, I came in as a new client to get a state inspection and oil change. I was completely unprepared! Didn t have my registration card because I needed to renew my registration but also didn t have my title number to renew online. I explained the situation and tech was super nice about it. He took my proof of insurance (I at least had that) and put my information in his system. After a few minutes, he came back with a print out with all of my vehicle information. I was extremely impressed! The inspection and oil change was faster than expected which I appreciated. Thanks guys, really appreciate the great customer service.Service: Oil change

For my routine car inspection they were very good. It was a quick in and out and they were pretty thorough with their work. The people working were kind, though the glass window they have for the attendant made it a bit of a struggle to have a conversation at first. Overall a good experience and the place I would recommend if you live in this part of the city.
