Amcco is the worst transmission company in Pennsylvania look at they review for all the location look up the review for the corporate. If you have a complaint you can't even get to speak with nobody at this shop I spent over $5000 in my car to get my car fixed with these guys. The experience was horrible. They give me the wrong diagnostic, I want to Toyota they told me the opposite after paying them for diagnostic twice to fix two different things. Save your money go somewhere else. The lady out front is a good sales person she'll sell you, but her team suck

Last week my transmission started leaking and was not shifting normal. A relative recommend the ammco on Frankford ave.he had his transmission worked on there about a year ago. When I got there with my car I spoke with dion the manager and after speaking with dion I decided to leave my car with them to service. They did everything they said they needed to do and the car is running fine. Dion the manager was great to deal with. I would take my car there in the future if I need transmission work.

I took my car here to have my transmission replaced and it broke down in 5 months after paying $5300. I took it back and they wanted another $1200. The six months warranty means nothing.Don t go here, waste of money and customer service is horrible and service is terrible.. .

I hate to admit it but they did an excellent job replacing my transmission in my Grand Cherokee. What I wasn't expecting was the exuberant prices. I know transmission work is expensive but they are just about on par with dealership prices. I took the "cheep" option and got a used transmission which only come with a 6 month warranty. So my next step is to get CarShield of it fail after the warranty expires.My ONLY issue is they charge you an extra 2.50 % if you pay with a credit card. Most people don't have $3700 cash on hand so expect to add an additional $100 or so If you are charging it. I found a hack for credit card payments. Instead of paying that extra credit card charge, extend your daily ATM usage and take the cash advance. It may take you a few $500 ATM transactions (8) but it'll save you some money.

I had work done on my vehicle recently and I had a great experience. I was told up front exactly what service I needed and explained a time frame and what to expect. The staff was friendly the service was excellent and I was even able to apply for credit since I was low on cash. I will definitely recommend them to others and will be back if I need anything else with my vehicle

I do not understand how this shop operates. On the advice of the receptionist, I dropped my car off at 8am on a Monday morning. I waited all day and never heard back from anyone regarding their findings. In fact I had to call them at 4pm to see when I could pick up my vehicle. They close at 5pm. It was suggested that they might not be through with it until the following day. I had someone give me a ride who would not be available on the following day. I was told by Paul that the technician (Anthony) would need to write up a report and that the lady ( I believe her name is Margie) would call me back. Paul also told me they would need to rebuild my transmission. Upon arrival I did speak with Anthony who suggested that my 2nd and 3rd gears were slipping. Fast forward 4 days and I still have not received a call regarding the diagnostic testing, or a potential price for repairs. I reached out to the shop on Wednesday and Friday morning. Both times the lady was unavailable and had left for a doctors appointment. I wish her well, but someone knowledgeable should have reached out with some information. I will take my business elsewhere and I suggest to whoever is reading this that you do the same...IN RESPONSE TO YOUR REPLY. Your facts are messed up! My car is a 1997 with 64,000 miles not a 1977. You offered a senior discount for a quote I never received. I am curious as to who posted this reply. Are you the Owner? No one has gotten back to me regarding the diagnostic testing that led to their findings...I was told that Anthony took it for a ride. I left your shop with the presumption that Margie would be in touch. Seems to me you did not read my words and you are confused about the facts. I would hope that a mechanic would be forthright with your female customers. One would hope for an honest service repair, and an in detail explanation for your findings......Have a Nice Day!!

DON'T GO HERE. I Took my car here cause it wasn't working. I thought it was the Transmission. I asked to they take warranties they said yes, so after two weeks, the receptionist Margie gave me a call asking if I paid $1400, I could get my car back two weeks early or wait a month and the warranty will pay so I waited the month then I get a call from Margie again said the vehicle has a timing chain code and it will cost $1400 or more to fix and the warranty won't cover that cause the need diagnostic test so I said I would take it to another auto shop then they charged me $275 to get my car back, and the vehicle has the same problem when I took it in if you want to save your money and your time don't go here they fixed the transmission, but it was the timing chain again don't go here, and the mechanic Sean was laughing the whole time( Dion the Owner answered and he lied said the car was taken for a road test how the vehicle can't move 2 feet were did they road test the car) Also tried contacting Dion the Owner by phone text and email called the shop all I keep getting saying he not there

Change your Motto. I called to have my Transmission fluid changed and Looked at.I was told They won't Touch my Car because it's a Dual Clutch 2015 Ford Focus. Yes it's a Nightmare Transmission. But you're supposed to be professionals that work on Transmissions. Your video says you can work "800 pieces of a Transmission" except for Mine apparently.

As a woman I always have issues going to car places. Either the men their try to gag me on prices or act as though my car needs work that it really does not need. A friend of mine recommended this AAMCO to me, and i must say it was such a different experience. The owner was nice, and he explained everything to me very well. He was very genuine and down to earth. I decided to get my car serviced here and it was a great decision, car runs like new! Thanks Dion!

Exhausting. Too much red tape getting Aamco HQ to confirm and order a transmission under their warranty program. I paid over $4,100 for an Aamco transmission in June 2022. It lasted about 3 months. I also purchased the warranty. Aamco limits the service repair to the closest Aamco shop from your residence. The closest shop to my residence was 3 to 4 weeks behind on servicing vehicles. Other locations could have serviced it sooner but because of the company policy. I was restricted to the one location. It took HQ about 2 plus weeks to verify everything and allow the shop to order the transmission. I was told it will take another 7 days to receive the transmission. Then another week to service my vehicle. Meanwhile I am dishing out a ton of money in a rental. This is exhausting and not very cost affective. The rental is costing just as much as a new transmission. So, the Aamco warranty doesnt really save you any money. I am sure there will be some out of pocket costs if they ever finish servicing my vehicle. It is cheaper to go elsewhere.Service: Transmission

So my family has gone here for 25 years back when Deon was a mechanic. Now Deon owns the place. It used to be great here my brother got his transmission here with no issues. Sadly I had a bad experience here i scheduled an appointment today to finish diagnosising my transmission and took off work for them to turn me away. I cant take another day so I'm screwed because of it. Very unorganized and unprofessional. I understand Dion however I told the gentleman I could leave it and he said there's too many cars today and Friday. It wasn't about leaving it i understood that from last week. Unfortunately my warranty is up this year.Services: Transmission, Auto engine diagnostic

Unfortunately, I had to wait a bit longer for my car this time due to the pandemic and the affect it has had on getting parts. Thank you to the owner Dion for his helpful and compassionate service! Ive recently moved to this area and I had no clue what I was doing as far as getting my car repair without having anyone refer someone to me so I was taking a gamble finding a place that was honest and wouldn't charge me up just because I'm a woman so find this shop was a Godsend!!! The owner explained everything to me before working the car and was not pushy or tried to fast talk me. Excellent customer service and pricing.

I rarely ever write reviews because I don t think people write them honestly, but I feel the need to write about this because I am absolutely infuriated. I called and spoke with Darion on Monday 10-18, the first question I asked was if they are taking new customers. I work in customer service as well and I understand with COVID not everyone can take on new clients. Darion told me that they are taking new customers and asked me some general information about my needs. I told him my situation and he said no problem come in Wednesday morning, 10-20 drop your car off and we will look at it. My next question was how long will it take to get back and he told me same day. I was ecstatic, I really needed my transmission cooling line replaced, and him giving me an appointment time made me super hopeful. I have two children who I have to pick up and drop off at school as well as all their extra curricular activities and I cannot drive a car that isn t safe. I went into work and told them I needed Wednesday off so I can accommodate Darions appointment request. When I dropped it off at 7:55 am, he told me someone would call me before they started any work, ok no problem. I waited hours and heard nothing. I finally called and spoke with the receptionist who toldMe she was still waiting for my diagnostic report. Ok, I waited another 1.5 hours and called again without hearing anything first, she now explained to me that there are no lifts available for them to look under my car and see the problem. I explained to her that I was given this appointment and her response back was to now bring it in the next day first thing and someone will look at it. Well, that is exactly what they toldMe today and I cannotMiss out on another days pay for a company that lied to me about the appointment, as well as didn t even communicate any of this to me throughout the day. Needless to say AAMCO lost a customer in me and I will give them negative reviews to everyone and anyone who asks me. My car still hasn t been looked at and I m hoping someone can give me an appointment before major damage gets done from something so minor. Shame on you AAMCO

I went to Dion and Sean first with transmission trouble and they were great I have an extended warranty and they were very good with communication and getting the work done it a good amount a time. That is one of there top priorities getting the work done right and fast. Then I came to them again check engine light flashing. I needed a full tune up. When they called for me to come get my car. I started to drive home and it started to act up . I could tell it had been fixed just something wasn t right. Sean was determined to get my car right. So after we talked and another day of them working on it my car was back to normal. These guys are awsome. I highly recommend. They have payment plans and he takes care of his coustomers. I thought I needed a new transmission. Dion was recommended to me by a friend. After checking out my car, he informed me that it was only a sensor. Fixed and returned the same day. It's almost impossible to get honest and quality service like this anymore. Dion is a really good guy and I highly recommend him. Thank You again

Excellent Service and Staff. I had a transmisson installed in my 2009 Mercury Mariner here in mid-July. After the transmission was installed the TCM computer that they ordered was bad. It was not their fault. Ordering parts during a pandemic can be frustrating and tardy. Good work sometimes takes time. Upon completion I was told to come back in a couple weeks to check for leaks and address any concerns. Dion and his guys are top notch. They do what they say they will do. I went for service at this location, just last week, for a transmission check. First off it's very pricey just too get the part looked at, then there's taxes added, so I decided not to get the service, it took a whole week to get my car back, then when I did...it had a new dent and scratch on the driver side back door, and I have a antifreeze leak. Lesson learned read reviews carefully, or this may be you.

Dion at AAMCO on Frankford Ave is fantastic. I was getting the runaround from a different chain, but luckily they had to send it to AAMCO for transmission work. Dion was completely up front with me about what was going on and helped me work out a difficult situation. My car is in great shape and the work done here is great. Trust these guys when you can't trust anyone else.

I would definitely never recommend this place. My Fiance and I (Automotive technicians) brought our truck there for a simple fix because we lived hours away and we left with a whole list of problems. It seems as if some one was snooping around the cab and we ultimately have to drive home with no brakes because one of their mechanics (if thats what you would call them) destroyed our rear wheel cylinders , brake fluid everywhere then their service writers try to tell us we are wrong. This place is a joke. I would be embarrassed to work at an establishment like this and I wouldn't bring my vehicle here if you would like to drive home safe.
