Buddy and Dave did a phenomenal job on my vehicle, getting an inconvenient repair done well and quickly. I was in and out with 25 minutes of me coming in. All of that is pretty amazing in it of itself, but nothing tops the way they treat their guests. I felt welcomed, respected, and taken care of. Appreciated the reminder by Buddy to have a great day on purpose. Will be back with absolute trust in these folks to fix up my car as needed. Thank you!!

Had an appointment for service (State inspection), they lost it.. made a second appointment for service (State Inspection) they "didn't have time". I'm sorry but the old owners never would have let that slide but now.. I don't think I'll be visiting here again.. I'll drive a few more miles to a different garage. It's a shame I went here for over a decade and the new owners ruined it in a couple of months.

Avoid this place at all cost, went to pass state inspection, first warning alert they drive your car without telling you and without your permission, second, they search under your car, with lanterns, remove your tires, and check every single juncture or piece of the car to put a failure on your inspection, third the owner doesn't respect his own quotes and increases is at will after you accept, fourth they do something and the car doesn't start anymore and want you to pay for it, and fifth the owner, after all this, claims to be a respectable businessman and don't care about bad reviews so I guess he doesn't mind if I write here this and warn the population about what is going to happen if they come hereDrive safe !

Ron and his crew are great. I can t tell you the number of times he has given an alternate recommendation to save me money. Recently I had a crack in my tail pipe, which he couldn t fix because his crew doesn t weld. He could have sold me an entire one for $1,000, but he suggested I find an exhaust place to do the repair. This saved me $700. I really trust his expertise and feel he goes out of his way to do the right thing, even if that means he loses money. That practice is why you see droves of people at the shop. It s super busy on a regular basis. Highly recommend!Services: Tire rotations, Engine repair, Vehicle Inspection, Oil change

I started going to this garage about 2 years ago. At the beginning they seemed very fair and of good value so I was pleased to feel like I had found my "go-to" garage for both my SUV and my husbands truck. Since March of 2021, the service that I started to receive at this place downgraded significantly. My car (8 years old) and my husbands 15 year old truck passed inspection with no repairs needed....this seemed shocking but I thought we just were blessed with some good luck. WRONG! Both of us had significant issues with our vehicles within 1 month of the inspection. My SUV needed an entire stirring column replacement, a new motor mount, and several other "little things" to correct how hard the motor was running. Our trucks entire brake system broke and thankfully my husband was able to bring it to a stop without any damage. To make matters worse, both times we were quoted one price and by the time it was done, the price had doubled. I understand that as a project progresses, new issues may come to light, but we were never informed of any of those issues and just charged double with no heads-up. Lastly, any time I have made an appointment I have asked when they would have time to look at our vehicles and I was given my choice of several days - giving the impression that they had a semi open book. WRONG again. Each time the repairs have not been started until 3/4 PM on the day it was scheduled and it was obviously necessary for them to keep the vehicle for a 2nd day to complete the project...honestly it felt like they almost might need a 3rd day. I'm super disappointed and sad to know that a garage I once trusted and relied upon has downgraded its service so much.Services: Electrical repair, Tires, General repairs & maintenance, Engine repair, Brakes

A close friend of mine recommended Ron, she has been going to him since she was 18 years old. We both agree that: Ron has integrity and runs an honest business and makes it right, and truly cares about safety. I work in healthcare and need a vehicle to get me to work, and I cannot accept otherwise, I am pleased with east Petersburg auto service and would recommend it for any mechanical and/or maintenance needs. I drive cross country frequently and I feel safe now that I received exceptional service from here. He also elucidates the issues so that it is understandable and you don t have to know everything about cars to understand what needs to be done. They are transparent in their work and I truly respect this manner of business - as it is difficult to find a good shop in Pennsylvania, I actually will go out of my way 40/50 miles to go there even though there are many shops close by. The whole staff here are great. . I needed a state inspection done and everyone I called wasn't able to donut till the following week. They took me in asap the same day. . Will definitely take my vehicle back for some things that are going to be needed when I'm back in town. Definitely recommend.

I have pretty much had good service going here. I'm not a car expert but I think repair prices are at least moderate. Also they try to get the work done fairly quickly; if you have something urgent going on they will likely get you in while you wait.

If you're in charge of taking care of your car, and are of the female gender, give this garage a ring if and when you need or think you need work done. I was very comfortable waiting myself as they did the inspection, changed the oil and adjusted my brakes. I asked a few questions and got direct answers, without any attempt at trying to "recommend" additional work or purchases. The employees were buzzing around and appeared to enjoy their job. No bad attitudes here! I'll be going back for sure.

Nothing but good things to say about East Pete Auto. These people are as honest as they come. They re incredibly organized, professional and can usually fit me in within a day or 2 to service my car. They also always get the job done in a timely fashion. Happy customer!

I am editing this review after 5 years of using this garage on the 5 vehicles I own.In short, I have had to fix multiple issues with the quality of work being done.The two biggest problems I encountered:1) Improperly used gaskets on the exhaust manifold to the down pipe that blew out 5 months later.2) We also had a power steering line dump all the fluid into our driveway after being replaced 2 weeks later. The technicians did not properly tighten the clamps.Now routine work that isn't heavily involved we have had very solid results. But on larger projects it just seems that attention to detail could use a little refining.Now I know that I could of called Ron up and re-scheduled it to be fixed (because other small thing did happen out of his control on other projects and he did stand behind it) however the time and inconvenience involved was not worth it.First Review in from 2013:I previously used to work on every vehicle I owned, but not any more thanks to Ron and his shop! I have been using their shop for about 2 years now and I have zero complaints. Ron explains everything very well and when he says he will get it done that day, it's done that day! Fair prices for great service even though I'd pay a little extra due to their honesty, reliability and great service.

These guys are honest, clean, professional and fair in their prices. I called them Saturday Morning and explained what needs done in my car and they were able to avail an appointment within less than an hour. They didn t try to sell any parts or do any extra unneeded work to charge me more money and i knew it was simple fix. Will definitely come back.

I have become quite dissatisfied with their services. I called to setup an appointment for both my mother's car and mine. I dropped it off the night before but it still was not even being worked on at 2:30 the next day. Now probably not done today and have to wait until tomorrow. I wish I had been told it might not be done same day. It always has been in the past. Maybe they should stop scheduling too many appointments same day. Cancelled appt for my car and will go elsewhere from now on.Service: Oil change

I go here for the synthetic oil changes on my 1019 Honda Accord hybrid. The coupon which they constantly run in Clipper Magazine includes a free tire rotation. What a great deal! Love this place!Service: Oil changeService: Oil change

The radiator in my Subaru blew open last summer and it was either drive it to the dealer or East Pete Auto. Having had not so great experience with service from the Lancaster Subaru dealer I took it to East Pete Auto. They replaced the radiator with a newer Subaru model and informed me of the change. The work was fine and it was fairly quick considering they needed to order the radiator. The repair is holding up fine a year later. Pricing was slightly better than what it would have been from the dealer, and they didn't mess anything else up in the engine bay while performing the repair! I plan on having some other service done at this shop in the very near future.

Gosh I love this place. Staff is so friendly and straightforward. I am always nervous about being treated unfairly as a woman going to get work done on my car but they treated me with respect. Did not overcharge me. Will go back for anything done on my car.

I always get my cars inspected here. They're very honest and don't push unnecessary repairs . Highly recommended.

Quality of work seems to be OK, but they'll abuse you mercilessly on price, all the while telling you how they're going to try to cut you a break. $10 gasket invoiced at $20. $60 rotor invoiced at almost $150. Expect them to mark up parts by 100% to 150%.If you can get in for service the next day after you call, that should be a screaming sign that something's wrong. Most decent shops are making appointments at least a week or two out.

I was charge 196.05 for an oil change and for a 50cents pack of lube because they claim my brakes were dry really they were just done last year and the lube them when they change them so I don't see how that is possible..wont return thank youServices: General repairs & maintenance, Oil changeServices: General repairs & maintenance, Oil change

I decided to try this place because it s closer than our regular location. I went for an inspection. Waited almost 4 hrs and the guy gave me a failed inspection and that I needed to pay $2000+ For parts and other services. He was very rude and dismissive. I paid for the failed inspection and emission sticker. Took the car somewhere else and it passed.These place is full of dishonest people looking to make as much money from customers. Avoid at all cost. Shameful.

I wish I could give this shop 0 stars. My wife took our car to this shop for an inspection, when she got the car back they said it failed and needed brakes and new lower control arms. I told her not to authorize the work as they were trying to charge $900. after we got the car back the front shakes really bad when braking at highway speeds. My wife took the car back twice to get it fixed and it did not help. I pulled the front wheels off to see what they did to the car and found a cross threaded lug nut that stripped the wheel stud. I told her to take the car back for them to fix their mistake by replacing the stud. They gave the car back to her and said it was fixed, I looked when I came home and all they did to fix the stud was cut the stripped threads off and called it good. this is unacceptable and dangerous. they can't even fix a simple part that THEY ruined. our car still shakes and it did not do this before visiting the shop. but I will NEVER take our car or any other car there for anything. I would steer anyone thinking of getting work done here far away from this incompetent shop. all this happened from a state inspection, I would hate to see what kind of job they would do on an actual repair.

Needed to have my car inspected so I decided to try the East Petersburg Auto Service... my old time mechanic closed his business and I needed a new place to service my car. Very nice welcome.. offered a ride home :) .. that day was into the teens.. so I thought that my search for an honest mechanics was over..Three hours late I received a call announcing that my car did NOT pass inspection and that repairs for almost $900 were indeed needed.. I was given few seconds to make a decision and when I said that I would have preferred to sleep on the news, well... I was also said that they had no one available to pick me up.I did walk the mile in the extreme cold.. I paid $180 for an oil change, an emission sticker and a failed state inspection and left... only when I found my car parked somewhere in the lot...End of the story is ... I took the car the following day to another mechanics ( recommended for his honesty ) and two hours later my car magically passed the state inspection... cost $30Sometimes I wonder how small businesses do survive when they treat customers with such arrogance... I suggest everyone that reads this review to avoid the East Petersburg Auto Services.

Don t trust these fools. I have 3-4 hours invested in the waiting room of this place because they didn t correctly state inspect my vehicle before purchase. I ve been here twice for a bad shock they should ve noticed when they originally inspected it. Trust me it clunked loud enough! This place tells everyone that comes in that their car needs work. Lots and lots of excuses here, very little know how. Glad I didn t spend my own money here!!!

First off , I hate when people talk to me like I'm an idiot...I complained there was an issue with my vehicle , it was supposedly looked at and didn't have any problems after. I was told my car was "test driven" and could have been in another gear by mistake or on E break by mistake...Long story short two days later here I am without my car because it sits at another shop over night because my car isn't operating properly like I said...to top this great week off , I was charged by them $44.25 just to move my car from one spot to the other...yeah never again. On the other hand Pep boys not only called me an uber...but paid for it and am going to keep my car until further notice!

I've had nothing but great service from this company. Since moving to the area I have taken 3 of my vehicles and the service has been quick and done correctly. It's great to find an auto shop you can rely on locally.

Bounced around between local auto services until we found East Pete. They are honest and reliable, and have always fit us into schedule when I've forgotten that my vehicle was due for inspection at the end of the month!
